In the bathers, swimwear area I purchased a item , the two elderly ladies were to buisy on there private phones!
Eventually serving me she had a problem taking a gift voucher off the item and could not work the register asking the other lady what to do but, we had to wait for her to finish her private call first
Why are staff allowed personal phones when in working hours!!. I have had these two elderly ladies before and quite frankly they have no interest in the job and should be retired. That may sound harsh but, they are a real detriment to your store

Something wrong with these guys. I made 2 orders and one order come with wrong item and second one come with security tag on it.

I visited David Jones shop at Robina town centre on the ladies floor.
I was first greeted by Narelle retail woman’s clothing section. I wanted to exchange a shirt that I had ordered and this lovely lady Narelle went out of her way when she wasn’t able to sort it out. She went looking for someone else to try and solve the issue! Along came Tracey who also tried to solve the problem. Thankyou lovely caring ladies I will endeavour to make it easier next time ! have a lovely day Girls and many thanks again for being persistent to fixing my exchange. 🤗 Top David Jones assistants they should be given a pay rise ! The wonderful sales assistant. Anita, in the jeans department at the Bondi Junction store goes above and beyond to ensure you find what you want. She is the embodiment of exceptional customer service. The only reason for buying all my jeans at the Bondi Junction store is due to Anitas experience and positive attitude. Anita is truly an invaluable ambassador for David Jones Bondi Junction jeans department.

Well...I made a recent purchase of 2 items of AVEDA products...On -Line with David Jones to the value of AU$180. I wass offered a Bonus Gift to the Value of $49... with the Purchase which was included with the invoice, I then received an email confirming my total purchase . Then I received another email that the whole invoice was "Shipped" then another email saying that the bonus gift was cancelled because...it is not in stock..... I emailed their "Customer Care" Dept,suggesting another Bonus Gift of the same value $49. to be placed with my order.... The Reply came back..."No... if you want to return your order,we can refund your credit card ".... Wow.... I replied " That's it.... No more DJ.... I am OUT...." So dissasitified with their On- Line Website. Perhaps they can rebrand their " Customer Care" Dept..AS " Customer Don't Care " They have lost me as a Customer... So inflexible... OUT.

I would be extremely careful purchasing anything online from David Jones. I was just told some shoes I sent back were in fact not returnable because of the brand. These shoes were expensive and they don’t fit. There was no where on the item or the receipt that said anything about their new policy as I’ve had to exchange this brand before last summer. I know the company isn’t doing well and now I know why! Their customer service is terrible! There are so many other stores that are better to purchase from. I’m so disappointed.

I am absolutely disgusted with the service from David Jones. I purchased a dress that took far too long to arrive, and when I finally went to wear it, I discovered it was faulty. Despite the item clearly being damaged, they refused to refund me simply because it was outside their 30-day return window.
A reputable company should stand by the quality of their products, especially when the issue is a manufacturing fault. Instead, David Jones chose to hide behind policy rather than do the right thing. I will never purchase from them again and would strongly warn others to think twice. Terrible customer service.

They are selling old stock 5yr+ as sales not telling the customer how old the item is and when the watches arrive (Armani) they come scratched and dusty I am furious with David Jones we paid $400 it was originally $800 and all they would offer me as a resolution was a $50 gift card 🤬

Steer clear, steer clear - yes, definitely steer clear. Years ago this was an amazing store with high calibre customer service. No longer. Online & in store is a dismal experience. They even have the temerity to charge you $700 for a second hand designer wallet, and claim it includes a dust bag (it didn't). Liars & thieves enroute to receivership. See you later, alligator 🐊

visited Perth city store and I was shocked by the condition of tester of armani beauty, minimum shade range mostly empty testers I returned it by post later as I had very negative feeling about the brand and david j9nes for days I felt like I was in priceline not even priceline actually more like some makeup discount store with the difference of paying luxury brand makeup. In terms of customer service, chat and email I was horrified by level of professionalism and time the issue takes to resolve. I am talking about weeks to months.
Bad customer service is a major disappointment for me and i refers to service that fails to meet the cany customer expectations. Ifeel neglected, undervalued, irritated, harrased and bullied due to the poor handling of my needs and problems by this business.

Recent order was split, not unusual but this time it's now been 2 weeks and they have not sent it out. Emailed them 2 times and contacted customer support online - took 30 mins just to chat to a human. Long story short I asked for refund but have been told that they need to contact third party to see if refund is possible. Feel like I have zero options and can only wait until they contact me, no more ordering online from DJs for me!

David Jones don't answer the phone & I have missing items I bought online which have disappeared & no1 answers the phone

The DJs credit card (to save on a single purchase) is not even worth the money saved as it takes 20-25 mins to set up in store and then to pay it off and close it took several attempts and waiting on google, latitude app and phone line.

DONT waste your time.

Staff often stand around chatting and complaining at Highpoint. When I went into the MAC store, there were no staff members on the floor and the store looked quite messy. I waited for about 15 minutes before deciding to buy something, and I had to go and find a staff member myself.

When I asked for help, the staff member was unhelpful. She opened a few drawers and said the item wasn’t available because she couldn’t read the labels, even asking, “Where are your glasses?” I ended up finding the item myself. There was no apology—just a look of disinterest.

I will not shop in a store which bombards my eardrums with loud music. Music if they must but at a level which is background just heard not blasted. My local Adelaide store is a point in question. I can’t wait to get out! Poor staff!! Oh well off to myers where it’s quieter…..! David Jones. When will you ever learn! That is why your sales are decreasing because I’m not there spending!

I visited DJ on Bourke Street today and saw an AMI jean jacket displayed on the ground floor. As there was no concierge, I asked cosmetics staff for help and was directed to Level 4 men cloth sections. I went to level 4 and was told size M was unavailable even though one was displayed downstairs. Customer service on Level 2 was initially unhelpful until I insisted on trying it. Eventually a staff member helped and she was very nice, and we purchased the $744 jacket. However, the overall experience felt cold and unwelcoming, as if no one really cared whether we bought it or not.

Very worse shopping experience ever had with DJ. I won't buy anything from DJ and also this brand Decjuba. i placed order on 21 Feb for a DecJuba for a tee I loved. there is size M. there is NO " Low stock" note displayed while I was shopping at that day. I received the DJ reply email about prepareing your order. Today is 2 March 2026, still processing the order. I went to live chat with DJ. Then they stated that they sent email to the supplier to follow up. and asked me to wait for 24hours. Suddenly after 2 hours later, I received the email DJ - cancel my order and refund to me. My god. So bad so bad... a care team just cancel my order without asking my decision. The reason given is even much unacceptable. They stated the item was damaged when the team go to pick up the item. My god. It is A TEE, what kind of damage can done on a TEE... the reason is NOT a joke. What kind of service team would give out such " ridiculas " reason ? If the tee damaged, get another one for your customer... easy job.. unless you do not even care about your customer at all.. i bought this tee as gift to my girlfriend..

I wanted give Emily at the Tom Ford counter in the Adelaide Rundle Mall store a compliment for her excellent customer service. She was courteous, knowledgeable and keen to assist in my enquiry. 10/10 Emily. Well done

Horrible online experience. Not only do they sell items they don’t hold stock of, I received 1 item of the 3 items ordered nearly 2 months after purchasing online. The item I received was part of the set they couldn’t honour. To add insult to injury they wouldn’t provide a refund. This isn’t the David Jones that once had great customer service, they’d be lucky to survive the year. Will not purchase from this place again which is sad.
