Fast customer service
Cunard wouldn't accept an email directly from me and insisted it must be sent via Cruise 118 to them. It took a week for them to respond and tell me this. Emma Spencer at Cruise 118 kindly offered to forward the email for me straight away within 5 mins of chatting about the issue.

Understaffed for Customer Service
Called today to pay my balance - website said my logon was invalid even though I reset my password twice and it it said successful and then said the logon attempt was invalid - doh! Spent 10 minutes in the call queue (11th position but never moved forward). Used callback facility but never called back by Cruise 118. Price saving isn't everything when the Customer service is so poor. We take about 4 cruises a year but I won't bother using this company again.
Update 4 August 2026. Cruise 118's version of a resolution was for their IT team to completely delete my account and telling me that I would have to re-register. A sledgehammer to crack a nut? For Cruise 118 to openly criticise its customers just shows that they don't care if they retain business or not. I have a cruise booked through them for 2028. I am now considering taking the loss of deposit and cancelling just to get away from this company. They have the time to look at their statistics but not to take customer calls............. or call them back. You will see from other reviews that they do NOT call customers back as promised.

Having reviewed your contact with us, we can see that you called at 11:10am and spent approximately 1 minute 21 seconds in our pre-queue, followed by around 5 minutes 8 seconds in the call queue. While we appreciate that any wait can be frustrating when you're trying to make a payment, we would like to reassure you that your wait time was significantly shorter than the 10 minutes mentioned in your review.
The day you contacted us was an exceptionally busy Monday, resulting in higher than normal demand across our contact channels. To support our customers, we were able to bring in additional resources to assist with enquiries as quickly as possible, and we apologise if you experienced any delay during this peak August period.
We can also see that at 11:14am you contacted us via our live chat service regarding the login issue. Our team promptly investigated the matter, and after further review we were able to resolve the issue and confirm this to you by email.
We completely understand how frustrating it can be to encounter login difficulties, particularly after successfully resetting your password. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as feedback such as yours helps us identify opportunities to improve both our systems and the service we provide.
We value your custom and are sorry that this experience left you feeling disappointed. However, we hope the fact that your query was picked up via live chat, investigated, and subsequently resolved demonstrates our commitment to supporting our customers through a variety of channels, even during particularly busy periods.

Fictional prices advertised
So we rang Cruise 118 today - it took over 20 mins before phone was answered. The price quote on the website was £587pp cheaper for exactly the same cabin quoted for by the agent. Their website is a joke and cannot be relied upon. Don't think you'll get a cabin of the same grade as the price they advertise. These are fictional prices to get you hooked and then part with more money for fear of disappointment. Dishonest practice.
