One important clarification: Contractor Training Center (CTC) does not publish these books and we don’t control the trim size, font size, or layout. Those details are set by the publisher, and we receive the materials in the format they produce.
We also want to be clear that we were not trying to mislead anyone. Photographing books can make it difficult to accurately convey true scale without a reference point, and we understand how the image may have suggested a different size. We appreciate you pointing this out, and we’re reviewing the product page to make the physical dimensions clearer so customers know exactly what they’re ordering.
Regarding shipping, the cost is based on carrier rates and required packaging/tracking, but we understand how it can feel disproportionate when the books are smaller than expected. We appreciate the review and the opportunity to improve the listing clarity going forward.
Always a Good Experience
I have been using the contractor training center to renew my Florida contractors license for several years now. The 14 hour course is simple to navigate and if you happen to need any help, their customer service is beyond helpful. I always seem to have a question or two and I have to say when I email customer Service, they are back to me the same day to answer my question. Always super helpful, I can't say enough about their customer Service staff, Teresa and Nadine to name a couple. All is good with this company.

The website was easy to follow but…
The website was easy to select a webinar continuing education course. The instructions to join are easy to understand. However, the course instructor, Sam Lee, did not teach anything resembling HR, customer service, or labor laws as the course was intended to be about. The course began with the instructor not even knowing what the subject for the course was, asking the moderator what he was teaching. Then, for 3 hours I listened to him discuss 3 times how “handsomely” he is paid to teach these courses, 2 times how his ex girlfriend broke his heart and he still loves her, and more than a handful of times how angelic and beautiful his voice is and his melanin skin. This course turned into story after story of his life on the job site. I did not learn anything outside of Sam Lee’s life story. I would not recommend this course to anyone.

While our instructors may use real-world examples to make the material more relatable, we apologize that the examples and personal stories used in this session felt excessive or off-topic and took away from your learning experience. Instructor talked about his experience in Florida (I'm a GA contractor)for 1 hour before he ever started class content, read script, said "right?" at the end of every sentence, content was not anything new...I learned nothing in 3 hours

The sales associate was knowledgeable, and she sent me a link to pay. I had trouble using my credit card at first, but after a few try’s it went through. I received my books in about two to three days.

The initial contact was great! The rep that answered was extremely helpful and friendly.
The instructor who goes over the premise and directions of the program seems to have great knowledge but should not be the voice of teaching. I found it extremely difficult to understand him. Maybe it’s his tone or enthusiasm.

Absolute disappointment
Absolute disappointment. After purchasing the webinar, there is no direction to look for an upcoming registration link. Then, in a pile of marketing emails and six weeks later, there's a registration link that is mandatory in order for your purchase to be completed. Then you receive 10 more marketing emails and no reminder to register for the class. Absolute disgrace of an education service provider. Couldn't be more disappointed in money spent.
