When installing an exhibit using Command Strips that was up for three months, I carefully removed each piece of art. Some were no problem but most were extremely difficult to remove and pulled off paint from the wall. Walls were cleaned as directed before installing. This was a dry wall that had been professionally painted. At this point the walls must be sanded and repainted. I would not recommend using these strips and plan never to use them again. The 3M company guaranteed that paint would not be damaged. Beware!

I had a new home. Didn't want to put nails in walls. Believed what the commercials said. NOT TRUE. In every case 6 strips used, I did exactly what the directions said when removing and Everytime they took the paint and a layer of wall off. Also the ones I didn't remove started letting go after 2 yrs. Just dropping pictures, broke the glass, damaged what I had hung in some cases even though they were the correct weight. DONT BUY. I called Customer service and all they said is "sorry" and sent me more. What a rip off.

Absolute rubbish, dont waste your money. My neighbour had warned me that they dont work, but I bought some anyway, followed all the instructions, hung 2 lightweight pictures up, one fell off the wall within a few days, the other has just fell off wall a couple of months later nearly hitting my dog. Totally useless product.

Every single thing I have hung with a command srltrip has fallen off either after 4 days or 18 months.
I have followed the instructions to the letter.
They just do not work.

Absolute garbage and a waste of £10.I bought the large strips for a medium painting just to be on the safe side.I then followed the instructions to the letter and within an hour it fell off the wall narrowly missing my dogs head.Avoid!

These are truly dreadful things. As most other reviewers have noted, they simply don’t work as advertised.

In my case, they won’t stick to the walls, despite following every instruction to the letter. Then, to make matters worse, they remove the paint!

I’m going to have to pay a decorator to repair the damage cause by this rubbish. Save your money and your time and please avoid these.

I Thought these were great until 8 months later, one fell removing the paint on the wall with it.
now I'm hiding the damage from my mother until I can repair the wall.

Made a call to complain which gets you nowhere as customer service automatically takes defense mode.
Even if you followed all instructions they continue questioning you until you finally respond “no I did not do that” to something so they can then say that’s why it damaged the wall.

These aren't cheap either.
Obviously people are buying these to prevent damaging the walls, I think I would prefer a tack hole over repairing the whole wall.

Bought picture hanging strips ,they were only up a week and had to take them down to re arrange them ,and they took the paint of my walls !!! Total rubbish !,,,

Followed all instructions, item smashed to pieces within 24hours. I am livid.

I work for large property maintenance company telguard is one of the best.

Please note that eletric go wrong storm somtimes complecations.

Seems such a good idea and easy to use. We have followed all instructions to the letter and were very pleased.... But, 1 year later 3 in total of our treasured items have simply collapsed of their walls, 2 pictures brown, beyond repair as corners snapped and tore in their fall and a plate smashed.. Nearly on my head which would have been nasty! Taking all remaining command hangings down as DO NOT TRUST THEIR LONGEVITY.

3M Command, so here I refer to your adhesive strips for putting up pictures, in general a fabulous product and does what is says on the instructions, HOWEVER there are instances where this product doesn’t work as well as expected, maybe this is a manufacturing fault or something to that affect, what I’m trying to say is your product is not affective all the time !!!!! And the business needs to accept this !!! So I’ve been using this strips for many years, I contacted the business due to pictures coming off the wall and been damaged, 3M immediately thought I was at fault, the process I use is to take a damp cloth and wipe the area down, I then wait for the area to dry then apply the strips and then allow a further setting time, I then spoke to a manager at 3M who advised I did it wrong and even after explaining the manager still insisted I did it wrong !! So I would suggest to 3M that your customers understand how your products works so treat us also with a-bit of respect ???

Total utter rubbish. Waste of money. Have put them up as per instructions and every single one has fallen down, the longest one lasted a month. Not only is the cost of these a rip off I've had to replace a number of broken and smashed frames.
How they remain in business must be purely based on new customers... they surely cant have return business

Would give a 0 if I could. I tried these years ago and ruined walls but was hoping they had been improved and tried again. 2 of them fell off within hours and another one today ripping wall off with it. Nothing hanging from this one. Yesterday I'd waited 2 hours before hanging something light. I will never use these again. At least a nail can be filled easily. The hole in my wall today will take texturizing to cover it...size of a silver dollar from a small hanger.

These are awful. I had three in my hallway. All my pictures have fallen off the wall. I assume the glue has dried out. They are absolute rubbish.

Absolutely rubbish, that is one mirror and one framed of a sentimental picec of art smashed. Do not recommend at all, what a waste of money and now mirror and art needs replacing. Avoid at all costs as they do not last despite checking the weights and following all instructions.

Smashed a beautiful frame didn’t even manage to stay on the wall for five seconds! How the hell did it ever manage to be passed and put on shelves to sell to the public!?

First, they are way too complicated.
Second, the instructions are written in the smallest font available - so virtually impossible to see (and my eyesight is pretty good)
Third - first one fell off. Maybe I didn't do it right but man I don't need this extra complexity and stress!
Avoid. They are not cheap either.

Dont waste your money.. tried small medium and large... all Rubbish

On 2 separate pictures the command strips have failed,
One picture was on the wall for 4 months then the adhesive had obviously dried out and the picture smashed on the floor, had to replace frame .
Today another picture fell off the wall due to adhesive drying out after 18 months ...,.another frame now needs replacing ...do not buy this product if want want your art to stay on the wall.
