Very rude staff
Very rude staff! Very disorganised.
The rude staff give you wrong information with a rude tone. Two staff members sat staring at their phones made us wait about 5 mins before they decided to look up at us and speak. Overcrowded! They shove far too many people in there, people just sat on the floors everywhere. Horrible set up money grab!!!
STOP ATTENDING MONOPOLY EVENTS
Disgusting security with attitudes whom seem confident as alot of woke youngsters can easily be bullied. Demanding I remove my mask as a grown man of which in the term and conditions are not stated why and also to face a camera aka I believe was for digital so I refused and stood my ground.
Yet 2 other cosplayers WERE NOT asked to remove theirs.
I can assume because of my size and build they felt they somehow they felt threatened and tried to control me to make them feel better. Alan refused to have his SIA badge in public so I made him show it me after he could very defensive.
Monopoly state in their terms and conditions about certain cosplay aka 'Monopoly Events strictly bans nudity, fetish attire, and extreme BDSM at Liverpool Comic Con'
Yet I saw a woman as in sexual attire as Catwoman aka pvc very tight outfit and a whip which wasn't secure nor peace bonded and being used where many public attendees were walking about, NOT REMOVED.
Clearly security past her for their own perverted needs.
Incompetent aggressive and moody. Need their heads checking fast.
Place was disorganised rushed boring and dull and on top they rip you off
Stop attending monopoly events, let them sink and get cons back to how they were ten plus year ago.
Never again
2026 Event
The real highlight of Liverpool Comic-Con isn't actually anything the organisers put together, it’s the incredible people who attend. The outfits and cosplay are absolutely spectacular. You can see just how much effort and passion goes into them, and it is so much fun just to stand back and watch the crowd.
When it comes to what the organizers actually delivered, it felt like they didn't do very much, especially considering the ticket price. The event is spread across three different buildings, and the layout is quite diffuse and confusing. If you have never been before, it is incredibly difficult to figure out which building is which because there is no paper map provided, and it isn't made clear that you actually have to walk between the different buildings to see everything.
The spaces themselves were a bit of a mixed bag:
The first building was packed with all the merchandise stalls and hosted some of the interviews. They also had meet-and-greets here, though it features a lot of lesser-known names rather than the major, widely recognisable stars.
The second building was a smaller area containing a bit of food and a tiny amount of extra merchandise.
The third building housed the stage performances, wrestling, and gaming. The gaming section was good, but the performances left a bit to be desired—the singers just sang over the top of the tracks playing in the background, and the wrestlers were clearly just pretending to wrestle.
On the positive side, all of the staff members were incredibly nice and helpful throughout the day. There were also some props scattered around, though it didn't feel like enough for what you pay. That said, seeing the Star Wars characters right at the front was easily the best part of the organized setup, and the Back to the Future car was absolutely amazing. Sadly, I didn't get to meet the actor because the queue was completely endless.
Overall, it was a good event, but it's the crowd's incredible creativity that truly saves the day and makes it worth watching!
Really bad
Really bad. Far too many tickets sold. The stall area you could not move, it was absolutely crammed. Could get anywhere near the stalls. No organised door in/out passage ways, coming to a complete stand still. We did the whole thing in 30 minutes. Awful. Would never go again
Booking process penalises those who need assistance
Booking process is terrible if you have someone that needs a carer/assistant. You book the “normal” tickets first and then have to email and ask for an assistant ticket … when we did this they had sold out. We want to go in as a family and avoid the queues and now we can’t and the company refuses to refund our ruined weekend which was only screwed up because of their horrendous process/policy. We feel utterly unwelcome at this event now and desperate to get our money back so we can go to another Comic Con which doesn’t treat us this badly. The responses have been utterly uncaring and the company feels just like they are money-grabbing and don’t want diversity, just profit.
My advice is avoid! Do not support a company that would treat those with disabilities like 2nd class citizens. Honestly there are MUCH better Comic Con companies out there that have a smoother process/policy and really put effort into helping.
Went here on 2nd may 2026
Went here on 2nd may 2026. Met some of my favourite actors ever. The staff were amazing and helpful. Although the prices were a bit overpriced it was definitely worth it . Thank you
Go to other comic cons
1. No physical map unless you have more money.
2. Limited outside food with no seating.
3.shoved all traders into one half of a hall. The walkways were way too small for the influx of people. And with no other trader areas it was manic all the time.
4.Only staff I saw were trying to get more money from me.
Brilliant weekend was my first time and…
Brilliant weekend was my first time and found it really fun with great staff and guests
The cosplayers went all out.....incredibly fun weekend
Really badly organised
Really badly organised. Entered through the exit and there was just no clue where anything was for someone who has never been to the event. Why on earth can they not send you the map auto and photo details beforehand is ridiculous. The £5 souvenier lanyard is a waste of money didnt say where or when autographs would happen and the pages fell out.
We were wrongly advised by the very slow and unknowledgeable staff and entered some very bizarre maze of one way systems that would only make sense after a few pints.
I thought comicon scotland was a bit disorganised but this one was just way overcrowed it felt unsafe with security very lapse checking people and just no one to ask directions or any signage at all.
Definately wont be returning here
Utter shambles
Wouldn’t even rate it one star
Wouldn’t even rate it one star. They keep cancelling every guest and they can’t even pay back the entry tickets. Very bad.
Poor control over ‘official photographers’ in cosplay area
This was a very special event for me as went in cosplay
I approached an ‘official’ photographer commissioned by MP who agreed to take photos for me
I’d have made any payment or charity donation required and later contacted them on instagram
Back in November was told I’d have the photos in the next day or two
As of today he’s blocked my account on instagram
I reached out to Monopoly Events at their email address after the event tk ask for help, got no response
All in spent £300 on celebrity autographs, weekend tickets
I went on my own and this was a huge deal for me. To not get those photos is crushing

Lost my Package
I sent a metal plaque to Monopoly Events in Liverpool for an autograph session. I initially made a mistake during the booking process, which was corrected. My package demonstrably arrived at Monopoly. Unfortunately, they can no longer find my item and I'm not receiving any response. My money is gone. Very unprofessional.
Mostly a great experience
Mostly a great experience. A bit expensive but some great guests and sets. The event has gotten even better with the opening of the Green Zone. Everyone very welcoming and a great day out for the family.
unorganized
fast paced, overfilled, and everything unorganized. no worker would help, and ignored US. management needs to step it up, paid too much for this.
Comic con Liverpool today your security…
Comic con Liverpool today your security telling people with kids they can't go out the door!
Because of a stupid 1 way system fourcing massive crowds to all squeeze out of one door!
My daughter needed fresh air and to get away from the over crowding that was happening
Learn to use your discretion as not everyone who is disabled has to have a wheelchair!
This guy being aggressive and getting in my face for going out the door because I needed to get my daughter outside you're a disgrace comic con we usually go every year not anymore!
Always a brilliant time!
I always have a brilliant time at this event- they have great guests, it's well organised, and there's a great variety of stalls and vendors. It gets bigger and better every time! Completely recommend for a great convention experience.
The best convention in the uk
The staff that work for monopoly events are really helpful, really want everyone to have the best experience
The con has such a wide variety of guests to cater to everyone and have quickly got the well deserved reputation of getting the top guests in the uk!
The stalls are brilliant, lots of different things to buy and caters to everyone
Although sometimes issues with the venue staff not knowing how to manage the flow of people and sending people on unnecessary long routes its understandable with how they want to keep everyone safe and moving (and no fault of the event organisers themselves)
A great community and a great weekend out whatever your interests, there's something for everyone
Greatest Weekend of my life 🙌🏼
Been to Comic Con Liverpool 3 times, my first being May 2024, then again in November 2024 and most recently the one just gone.
First off, WOW, the guest lists for these 3 alone was insane. Heroes of mine I never dreamt of being able to meet in person: Orlando Bloom, Sean Astin, Andy Serkis, Ralph Fiennes, Sebastian Stan, Liv Tyler, James McAvoy, Hayden Christensen, Jason Isaacs to name but a few.
Yes it’s always pretty busy but considering what I’ve seen at other conventions it never felt like too much. Was very well ran and even when delays happened staff did their best to keep everything flowing smoothly and were always extremely helpful whenever I needed assistance with something.
Great selection of stalls set across the 3 buildings and food vendors were available but if you wanted to leave to eat elsewhere you were able to come and go as you please as well as bring in your own food if needed.
I struggle massively with anxiety and have always had many autographs/photos booked so I opt for a diamond pass which I highly advise if you’re like me. However I have friends who have managed just as many on a standard entry ticket so all depends on how much queuing you can tolerate physically/mentally.
I prefer to do my browsing/shopping of the stalls near the end when most of the big crowds have dispersed and I can have a good peruse of everything. Sundays are usually quieter in general than Saturdays too so keep that in mind if you struggle with big crowds.
The cosplays from people coming and the professional cosplayers walking around the convention were fantastic, everyone was always happy to have their photo taken with me and was just an all round positive vibe.
Overall I’ve always had a great time at Comic Con Liverpool and already excited for November 🙌🏼
Liverpool Comic Con Review
I had a health emergency while waiting for Hayden Christensen. The staff handled it very appropriately, and even placed me into a cooler room so I could recover and they saved my place within the queue. I had an issue getting down the stairs due to a lift not working, so a very very kind monopoly staff worker helped me plus my wheelchair down the stairs as they walked past.
Never had any issues that couldn't have been fixed/solved. The staff are incredibly friendly, the venue is wheelchair friendly (a big win for myself and other wheelchair users).
Any issues and the stuff is always willing to lend a hand! I missed out on a photograph with a guest due to Hayden's queue being very long, I spoke to them and they were very happy to transfer my photo to the Sunday!
Very lovely people and staff all around!
Didn't get my James McAvoy photo or…
Didn't get my James McAvoy photo or Michael Chiklis signature, they think you can just go from one end to another in seconds, they blame me for the 5pm timeslot for the photo which was for a autograph I only just realised, very rude staff when I found out I missed James McAvoy, Michael Chiklis wasn't there for the signature when we waited for him, it's all balls!! You have to be elsewhere and they expect you to be at places right at a time or else!! The queues are massive, 70 minutes in Cobra Kai photo. That was £95 for James McAvoy and £60 for Michael Chiklis stolen from me by these thieves who say oh it's non refundable. Then there is the security which we had to deal with when one of our bags was stolen while we were getting out Dina Meyer photo, they said the bag will come back because they had another, it was a lie, they knew it was stolen and we had to keep going back there to check, we know who it was now because it's on the photos in Dina Meyer, it made us miss Starship Troopers q&a and James McAvoy.
