I am very impressed by College and County
I changed to College and County because my previous agents were not vetting my tenants sufficiently and had appalling back office service dealing with leases.
College and County have given me a very professional service and found excellent tenants for all my properties. They are a very proactive agency, efficient and personable.
Their marketing is good: photography and property descriptions excellent, viewings and feed backs great.
They keep me up to date with any legislation that may affect me.
I am particularly impressed with the extremely comprehensive lease documents they produce and their attention to detail where a specific additional clause is appropriate for each individual property.
They are a great lettings team, their professional fees are reasonable and they know the lettings market inside out.

Great estate agents!
Great estate agents!
My partner and I recently moved to Oxford and the team at College and County were great from the start! They showed us round the property on a Saturday and had us moved in 10 days later.
They left us a lovely move in note and have been really responsive about a faulty appliance in the property.
Special thanks to Lewis and Tabitha for being really helpful and friendly! We will definitely be using their services again!!

Thank you Olivia. Whilst I am not surprised your experience was so positive, (I know how strong my team are, and how lucky I am to have them!) I am delighted that you have been moved to commend us with a review. At a time when Covid has made everybody a little more "short-fused" than before, there is sometimes a tendency for our customers to express frustration in our direction. Your positive feedback, therefore, becomes all the more precious to maintaining morale and drive to provide the level of service you have commented on. Mark Crampton Smith - Managing Director
College and County were wonderful
College and County were wonderful.
They helped me to find a property during the Covid lockdown and made the process smooth and easy. All of the paperwork was able to be done online. They and the landlords went above and beyond to help me to settle in by helping with furnishing and utilities. They were friendly and quick to reply throughout the year in response to any issues. I would definitely use College and County next time I need to rent or rent out my property.

Thank you Tessa, Yes, we are in testing times for everyone! We were fortunate that we had much of the technology in place that allowed us to WFH and let property "virtually" to ensure safety for our customers and their families. Of course I am delighted that your experience was so positive, and your comments will be a boos in moral for the team. I look forward to working with you when you decide to let out your property! Professional, friendly, trustworthy
Without exaggeration, College & County is the best estate agent I have ever dealt with. Friendly, professional and trustworthy. They clearly care about their long-term reputation.
Highly recommended!

Thank you Harry! you are correct........ we really do care about our reputation. At a time when peer recommendation is increasingly important in how we choose goods and services, I am sure that genuine customer reviews on whatever platform are critical to the sustainability of our business. It is one of the reasons that we do no marketing for new landlords.........We really do want to find those who have heard about us from someone they know or who have read the reviews on line and decided to join us. These are the landlords we want to work with as they will understand how important it is that all occupants have as positive an experience as you. Mark Crampton Smith - Managing Director

I am delighted to provide a review
I am delighted to provide a review. College & County are by far the best agents I have ever encountered. They are exactly what they claim to be: caring, thoughtful and efficient. Their scrutiny of potential tenants is excellent. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the office is very responsive (particularly Lucy Woodall and Ines James). I cannot commend them highly enough.

Thank you Stephen for taking the time to post a review. I am delighted that you have found the service “caring thoughtful and efficient”. My staff team are the principle resource of the business, and I do firmly believe that when charged with doing the right thing in any given situation, rather than just the most profitable thing, we benefit from far greater commitment and effort from everyone. It is important that we let each property as if it were our own. “The only way is Ethics” Mark Crampton Smith - Managing Director
Best Agent in Oxford
College and County is a wonderful lettings agency. I have been a tenant with them for three years, and they are quick to respond to emails, excellent with scheduling maintenance on the property, helpful with renewing and re-negotiating leases, and always friendly, professional, and fair. College and County is the premiere lettings agent in Oxford and I would recommend them without hesitation.

STAY AWAY!
Probably one of the worst agencies in Oxford. Even though the house was completely new, the first night I moved, I had a huge leak (from the shower upstairs) on my whole wardrobe and they didn't refund me anything (despite the fact lots of my stuff was damaged!). In addition, once the tenancy finished, they gave back part of my deposit to one of my ex-flatmate WITHOUT MY AUTHORISATION. Even if I previously informed the agency that girl had problems with the management of money, mental illness (with written evidence!) and I specified that I wanted that MY MONEY was returned to me and NOT TO UNKNOWN PEOPLE (as it is logical), they ignored me. Obviously, this girl disappeared with the entire deposit. So now, thanks to College and County, I lost a considerable amount of money.
So, if you are dealing with this agency, please stay away from it, especially if you care about your money.

Ms Pighi, As you know, (it is on all documentation including the tenancy agreement and in the FAQ) we return all deposit monies held to the head tenant. The whole group was contacted six or seven weeks before the tenancy end to confirm your agreement. You did not object at any stage. You need to take this matter up with your housemates; if you consider that one of your former housemates has "stolen" your share of the deposit held, perhaps you should report the matter to the police? As far as the leak from the shower is concerned, there was no request for any compensation received either by us as managing agents nor by your landlord. As you know, the leak was fixed immediately it was reported, and had there been any issue of damage to personal belongings, we would of course passed this on to our client for consideration.
Excellent and Affordable Service
I have been letting my property through College and County for the past 6 months or so. They have been responsive, hugely reliable and all in all provided a great service, this is massively beneficial for a non-local landlord. I no longer think of my rental property as being the source of headaches!

Recommendation
I would just like to say how professional Addel and the accounts team at College and County are. They are both caring to the landlord and sympathetic towards the tenants. The Thame team (especially Katherine and Ellen) look after our properties in an excellent and professional manor. I often do highly recommend the College and County teams to both prospective landlords and tenants.
From a landlord with multiple properties.

Thank you Mr Naylor, for taking the time to post a review. I am delighted that you have found the accounts team to be so professional. It can be a tricky role, especially when people are experiencing financial hardship. But you are correct, with a rent run of over £1m per month, we have been able to keep arrears to well below 0.01% largely by keeping communication channels open and helping with solutions.

They make renting effortless.
We live 90 minutes away, and College and County manage the letting of our house effortlessly. We can be involved as little as we like and Tabitha and the others handle finding and assessing tenants, collecting the rent, dealing with problems, inspections and arranging maintenance, repairs and cleaning extremely well and in a proactive way.
I only have one gripe - the accounts department has abandoned the Scorpio accounting system which made preparing annual accounts for my accountant very easy. For the 2019/20 tax year I'm going to have to go through all their emails and attachments to do this which is time-consuming and boring work! Please bring back Scorpio and I'll give you 5 stars!!
Update: The accounts department will create an annual report for me which will satisfy my accountant, so no need for my tedious trawl through invoices in April. So, I've upped their rating from 4 to 5 stars. Thank you for responding so quickly and efficiently to my gripe - you are stars!

We have recently switched software to keep up with the rapidly evolving digital landscape, and have been trialling our new Client Portal (which is even more sophisticated than the last one) I have asked the accounts team to give you access during the trialling period, and also to send you a consolidated statement including all invoices for the period in order that you can can complete your tax return with greater ease. When you have had a look at the new Portal, please do let me know what you think? Should you ever spot any other way in which we could improve service, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Best decision I've made as a landlord.
Happy tenants look after the houses they rent, and choosing College and County has been the best decision I've made as a landlord. Having always been a hands on landlord it took a lot for me to hand over the reins, but C&C fully manage everything for me now, including HMO license renewals and all the associated compliance and paperwork, (all now on 5 year licenses). They have found me fantastic tenants, and always given me sound and practical advice. They are a lovely group of people in office and seem to take genuine pride in doing their job well, they have transformed my view of letting agents.
