I bought a Rattan Pendant Light for £127. What arrived looked nothing like the lamp in the photos I'd ordered from. I returned it to China, and three months on I still haven't received the refund I was promised.

This company is a tech company based in Denmark. They are supplying cheap shoddy goods from a factory in China . They call their company Clowas UK to mislead you. It is nothing to do with the UK. They say easy returns in 30 days. No such thing . You receive cheap shoddy goods and are then expected to return them to China at your expense. The cost to return them is prohibitive roughly £60:00 on a £120:00 sale with no guarantee that you will get your money back if you go ahead with this. It is a scam and they get away with it because in the small print they advise you the goods need to be returned to China. Don't touch them with a barge pole. This loop hole that this company is using needs to be shut down. Basically they charge you say £120:00 for goods worth about £10:00 if that. Then they send the goods to you "free" postage implying that postage is not a problem. They are making so much money on the deal they can afford to send the goods to you from China and still make a massive profit. You cannot afford to send them back as postage is prohibitive so for doing nothing they are making a massive amount of money

Cheap, badly made products from China.
They present as a high-end U.K. store-anything but!
Having spent hundreds of pounds and having to fight for weeks for a refund, I am left with a pile of plastic unfit to use ( no safety standards whatsoever) and £200+ out of pocket ( they refunded 2/3rds after many, many emails). I have reported to trading standards as this is happening all too often in the British Market Place now,

I have ordered a floor lamp which came completely faulty and electrician confirmed it is poorly insulated and completely unsafe to use. Clowas refused to give me a full refund but I have won 100% refund under Visa chargeback rules. Please stay away!

*After leaving this review, the after sales support got in touch to try make the situation right. They ended up refunding us 75% of our purchase. In the end I was happy with their support and refund. I would like to thank them for the effort made !

Orginal review - Don’t buy off them, it’s a scam. They portray the company as a Uk company, they are based in china. What you see on the website is not what you will get. We bought expensive glass Nordic lights, we received cheap plastic copies worth around £10. I have read multiple reviews stating the same situation. That is if you do manage to receive the lights, the product you ordered, you will receive a cheap knock off. Then they make it incredibly hard to get a refund or return it. Avoid at all cost!!!!!

*To note Clowas reply is not true, fabricated story! I never threatened or said I was spread negative feedback, and only ordered one set of lights. Do not buy from them!

I had a problem with the delivery company (DHL) and Clowas staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Highly recommendable.

I often see good promotions, which attract me. But the logistics is a bit slow.

Have been waiting months for money back. Product didn't look anything like the website picture or description. Had to send back to CHINA at a cost of nearly £30 and now they say they have not got it although Royal Mail says its been delivered. Buyer be ware if thinking about purchasing ANYTHING from this company.

Order took almost 2 weeks to arrive. Customer service was completly unaware of the order status, and the tracking number provided only worked 1 hour before the delivery slot.
The product was severly underwhelming for the price. Did not come with any instructions or warnings. I suspect it came directly from their supplier in china with them working as an itermediary.
Next time I'll order directly from Aliexpress, same products, and much better prices with a clear expectation of what I will be receiving.

I've been trying to get hold of someone at this company for over a week to return a light that I bought but with no success. Their phone number on the website doesn't work which is a worry. I've emailed twice and filled out their form on the website twice but still no reponse. Does anyone have a way of contacting them? Am obviously rather concerned as to why they are seemingly not contactable.

If I could rate this company less than 1 star I would. Customer service what customer service. I ordered outdoor lights and they arrived 10 days later in a damaged box from china. The lights were so badly made that I contacted them immediately to arrange for them to be returned. They don’t provide an address for returns so you have to contact their customer services. After numerous emails I was offered a £40 credit which I have refused as the lights are so bad I won’t put them up on display. I still haven’t had an address or have and sign of getting my money back. My partner found the same lights on Ali express for £9 each. Clowas was passing them off as £100 each. My advice, AVOID AVOID AVOID

The customer service is great!

Delivery took quite long (3 weeks) and I have to say I was offered 20% refund that I have received for that delay. Although delivery concern was fairly settled quality of the outside lights ordered was very poor. Lately I have found similar products in different color from Chinese manufacturers for a much cheaper price. I have only given 3 stars due to fair delay response that had a 20% refund.
