I have been waiting for an opportunity to start paying down my excess atmospheric CO2 debt to society. I also want you to build more DAC plants to go down the learning curve as fast as possible. Good Luck--we all need it.

Easy to use platform and they have been verified by the correct organisations.

Although more expensive than other decarbonisation programs, they are working to scaling it up and making it cheaper

Well done! The ordering process was smooth, the facility is transparent and well-audited, and the certificate of removal is particularly appreciated. Direct air capture is not (currently) the cheapest carbon offset on the market, but it's definitely the most auditable and traceable. This makes it perfect for business customers. The only thing I'd like to add is to get a total price on the removal cert for accounting purposes.

For 40EUR they will remove just 40kg of CO2 in the "next 6 years"... other companies which are fighting climate change for roughly the same price can set your entire footprint off! And you won't have to wait 6 years for it to happen.

The entire network of Climeworks plants remove CO2 for a few hundred people, so to scale this to a point when it really makes a difference, they'd need to build millions of other plants (highly unrealistic and next to impossible).

This technology is very expensive and small contributions from individuals won't make any difference at all - unfortunately it's a waste of money...

Climeworks are also not being transparent in terms of what's happening after someone subscribes. The internal dashboard is very non-intuitive and they don't send you the CO2-removal PDF certificate via email. I didn't get a sense of accomplishment or useful contribution when I subscribed.

To say that their marketing has been "extremely poor" would be an understatement... they really need to improve their communication as well as education of the market.

Seeing companies such as Climeworks successful is in our planet's best interest so I wholeheartedly wish for them to achieve their mission, but unfortunately, it won't be with my hard-earned money which won't change anything.

I'd rather invest them in something better and more efficient which can really help our climate.

Fantastic initially, there are some things that are less clear.
Good options for purchase and a nice little dashboard. However, the process could be a little clearer to set expectations. The marketing says: "You'll be able to measure precisely how much CO₂ we've removed in your name using your Climeworks dashboard.", but when on the dashboard, all I see is "Your total CO₂ capture ordered". How much I've ordered, and how much has been captured are two very different numbers to me, and I was hoping to see both.
So for anyone buying a subscription, be aware that you will only know your "real" contribution at the end of each year, and until then, just what you've paid for. I'm hoping they're able to make the updates more frequent in the future.

After reading about Climeworks from the book Under A White Sky and in The New York Times, I decided it was time for me do to more about climate change. The website was easy to access and to purchase my CO2 reduction contribution. Thank you!

It’s a great cause and well considered experience. They let me book the gift to arrive for a specific time. Also included the PDF so I could print and give it to them if I wanted.

Also nice that they automatically provided a ranking for my impact. Maybe one day I’ll reach number 1

The only CO2 compensation that truly does what it says.

A great idea for carbon offsets but not clear if the direct wire capture project will ever get off the ground. Needs to survive for at least six years for the credits to operate. How much risk between now and then?

How much can you/do you intend to 'scale up' over the years?
Where on the globe is the ground geology compatible with your deep 'carbon injections'.
Can an 'injection' location be functional longterm?
I appreciate the fact that you're a Swiss company; gives a sense of credibility, longer-term dependability.

They are a company doing great things for reversing climate change. I wish I could be a more active , hands on member.
