Review Title: Amazing Greek Islands Tour – Highly Recommend!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on our Best of the Greek Islands tour! Our tour guide, Kostas, was outstanding and truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a wonderful time. His local knowledge, friendly personality and genuine care for the group made the experience even more special. Nothing was ever too much trouble!

The hotels were excellent, particularly our accommodation in Mykonos, and the included dinner experiences were fantastic.Loved the Blue Myth restaurant! We enjoyed beautiful locations, delicious food and so many memorable experiences along the way.

The entire tour was well organised, with a great balance of sightseeing and free time to explore. Kostas was an absolute asset to the company and really made our holiday unforgettable.

We would definitely recommend this tour and would happily travel with Coconut again!

I have just completed Essential Turkiye. Had a fantastic time. Erdem our guide was knowledgeable, patient and went out of his way to ensure we had truly local experiences. Our driver, Ayhan was terrific. He drove us safely and the bus was immaculately clean. Highly recommend.

Our guide, Erdem, made a great trip FANTASTIC. He was kind, generous, professional, knowledgeable and adaptable. He ensured we were well informed but more importantly he introduced us to real people - at the local laundry, the turkish bath, the gozleme streetside restaurant and the list goes on. We have travelled with groups before, both large and small, and this trip was right up there with the best.
Turkiye is an amazing destination with so much history and culture and 14 days doesn't scratch the surface but we are thrilled to have had such an enjoyable experience - the history, the culture, the food and in particular the people.

I had a wonderful trip with friends on our Greece tour seeing the brilliant antiquities of Greece. The tour was well run and our tour guide was fantastic and knowledgeable and we had excellent guides at the sites too. The hotels were great and we had a lot of fun.

The guide & hotels were excellent. My main compliant would be we were expecting a small group experience- say 14max but we ended up having over 20. This meant we had less time to look at things & less time for the interesting explanations from our guide- the whole trip was frustratingly slowed.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Ciconia Travel on their Best Islands of Greece tour in September 2026! From the moment we arrived in Athens, everything was so well organized and thoughtfully planned.

Visiting Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini was truly a dream come true. The hotel selections were excellent, the itinerary was perfectly balanced, and every destination offered something special.

What made the trip even more enjoyable was our fantastic group and, especially, our wonderful guide Lydia. She was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and always made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail really made the experience memorable.

Ciconia Travel did an outstanding job from beginning to end. The combination of beautiful destinations, great hotels, a wonderful group, and an exceptional guide made this a trip we will never forget.

The itinerary was above expectation.
Erdem our guide was exceptional, he was respectful of our needs, safety and our health. His knowledge was extensive and he communicated everything well. We enjoyed his humour and kind and generous nature.
Our Driver was helpful and drove very safely. The tour vehicle was clean and comfortable.
The airport transfers were convenient and timely even though we experienced long flight delays.
Hotel accommodation was comfortable and good quality.

Kostas the guide, so persnal, knowledgeable and organized.

Our guide was exceptional and very knowledgeable about the history and interesting facts of Turkey. He organised our trip seamlessly which created a very happy group of travellers.

The Ciconia guides were excellent and brought the history of both Egypt and Jordan to life. Generally the accomodation was very good. The tour guides managed access to venues and transfers seamlessly.
Travellers should realise that in Egypt a 5 star rating is the equivalent to 2.5 to 3 stars in other countries which is particularly relevant to the standard of the Nile cruise ship providers.

This was the first organised tour my wife and I have done. We decided to travel with Ciconia after it was recommended by a friend, and we chose the Essential Turkey Tour. We had a fabulous time and honestly can’t express how amazing the trip was — it was more than we ever imagined.
There were only six of us in the group, and we were all around the same age, which made it easy to connect, get to know each other and have lots of fun along the way.
Turkey is a marvellous destination, with so many fascinating places, historic sites and ruins to explore. What made the experience even more special was our guide, Yildiray. He was fantastic — very knowledgeable, engaging, humorous and entertaining, while also being a genuinely nice guy. He made us all feel comfortable and went above and beyond to make our trip memorable.
One of the highlights for me was Gallipoli. What a moving experience. It was hard not to feel emotional standing there and seeing the names of so many young men who lost their lives. It was a very memorable and worthwhile visit.
We would highly recommend Ciconia and the Essential Turkey Tour. It was an incredible experience and one we will remember for a long time.

Yildray is a very experienced,considerate and knowledgeable guide. He has the ability to understand and connect with all nationalities and people of varying demographics.

We did the Egypt and Jordan tour with Ciconia. Our guide Mac, was excellent. Any issues that poped up. Mac had a workaround and we never missed a thing. The hotels were all tops. Our Nile riverboat had excellent food but the wifi was poor. This did not have any effect on the sights and experiences we had. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour

Kostas was absolutely fantastic and got us through the tour. His knowledge and experience was excellent. The tour was well spaced and gave us enough time at each location. The day tours were fantastic as was the dinner and shows we experienced in Athens and Mykonos. The show in Mykonos got us up dancing which we hadn’t done for your years, it was truly amazing.

We were a small group so plenty of space on board the coach, and a chance to make lots of friends.
Great hotels (bar one) with good and plentiful food. Meals were a set menu so maybe more choices on a buffet? (Chicken breast on a bed of sprouts was one meal not to be recreated!)
Would definitely book with Ciconia Travel again, especially as if you didn’t want to take your own case, it was delivered to, and collected from your room.

Erdem our tour leader was fantastic and made our tour a very memorable experience.
Some of the hotels selected were definitely not 5 star and some food offerings at the hotels were well below standard we expected from the detail in the company blurb. We wrote to Cicconia regarding this but never recieved a response which was a little dissapointing
