Wish I’d looked on the reviews first , communication is lacking and to do a simple task that should on average be at most 12 weeks , now 24 week

Giving one star, such a shame, I used Peter back in 2020 and his service was excellent, efficient and professional- hence I was resisting leaving such a negative review.
But due to a new issue arising, I feel it is now justified - please note that I also bear some responsibility for putting my faith in the professionals to do their due diligence.
The issue is regarding a boundary that was reported back to me as being my neighbours responsibility (as declared by the seller) but upon doing my own research of all the property documents I found an old official document from the 1980s that contradicts this and should have been picked up by the conveyancer. Alongside a number of other processes that should have also been picked up by Peter. I won’t be using his services again, double the cost, half the service and quality.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. 23 Months from the for sale sign going up to completion. Admittedly the 1st buyer pulled out due to finance problems, but the next buyer, who was pregnant had to pull out as it took so long for Chartahouse to respond to anything, or have any sort of communication, she had to stop to have her baby! On the third sale, one example was the paperwork was on their pile for 3 weeks because they "weren't sure" how much the property sold for! Just ask! Could never get hold of my "team" on the phone, hardly ever responded to emails. Eventually, me, the buyer, and the buyers solicitor had to form a team, so we could bombard them with requests all at the same time, to elicit a response. All this with nervous buyer number 3 threatening to pull out, understandably. The relief when thekeys eventually got handed to the buyer was intense. I hope I never go through that experience again, its knocked years off my life, im now a shell of a man. Thanks Chartahouse.

Had the misfortune of having nasty nick wow what a rude obnoxious patronising man he obviously doesn't like being asked to do anything if you ask him he simply doesn't do it he doesn't reply to emails or calls and then shouts at you when you do manage to have the misfortune of speaking to him please avoid at all costs took twice as long as it should have because of his attitude

A totally stress-free sale of my wife's house using Nicholas and his team. We mainly dealt with Georgia Cook, who was excellent. This is the first time we have sold or bought a property online. You do have to be a bit computer savvy, and keep an eye on your emails. However, the process is easy, once you get into how it works. I have no doubt in recommending CCS for any property sales.

Stress free with Nicholas and the team, (except the very last week but not Solicitors fault) acted for us in the purchase of our property in Plymouth, we lived in Wiltshire but wanted to use a local conveyancer. Great communication throughout the sale of the property.

Jasmine Kennedy was not very helpful and rude whenever I called. Just over a small cash transaction because I didnt have a receipt but I explained which she didnt accept and after wasting my valuable time they refused my case.
Luke infact was brilliant and used to listen and instruct brilliantly.
In the end I got my mortgage done, convencying done, bought house. But not happy with their service at all. 😪
