Was reluctant about the site at first about it's authenticity. After a few minutes I went ahead and tried it. I entered my car chassis number and it showed my car's basic information. I went ahead with the process and paid the $25 processing fee. The FULL report arrived by email this morning. The report even provided the auction sheet with pictures of my car! Now that's what you call a full service! I'm very happy with the results the site provided.

The site does offer translation for 500 yen, but honestly — don’t bother with that. GPT did it way better.

In the end, I was pleasantly surprised with the information and especially the auction photos. It really helped me understand the condition and history of a left-hand drive Mercedes from Japan that was being sold in Germany.

The UK DVLA refused to give me a registration for a Japanese import as they claimed I had not provided enough evidence of the car's date of manufacture (despite it being on the purchase receipt and export certificate). The report generated by CarVX is very good, it details the basic car information which should satisfy the DVLA. What surprised me was the level of detail the report goes to, odometer readings by date as well as all the data for all auctions the car has been through, including all auctions condition reports and pictures. Very impressed for less than £20.
