SUPPORTIVE CPD EXPERIENCE
Very well presented course with straightforward drop-down menu and a side-bar showing each module and the timings, for example: DSL Foundations (19 minutes); Implementing Safeguarding Strategies (18 minutes). Very clear voice delivering the course. A series of slides containing bullet-points with ability to pause each slide, or rewind to any points requiring further attention. Some repetition about fostering a safeguarding culture and the discussion around educating staff, e.g. in an organisation or institution, as well as multi-agency collaboration. Could have included more true-to-life, i.e. in the job examples and perhaps some interspersed video scenarios to – otherwise a very thorough course. Liked that each slide began with objectives and ended with key highlights, to reinforce learning. I made around 3000 words of notes where the clear voice was very useful to achieve this. The course lasted from 10am until approximately 5pm.

Brilliant course done in the comfort of my home, very easy. The ending is a little confusing as I already paid for my certificate so I went on chat and chatted to a Hares Abdullah he was very helpful and guided me once he checked I had already paid.

Paying to get a certificate of the course??
I paid for this course in full, only to be told after completing it that I had to pay an additional fee just to receive proof of completion. I honestly think this is a deceptive and dishonest practice. No one takes a course without expecting to receive proof that they have completed it—charging extra for this essential element is unacceptable.
If this fee is necessary to make the course profitable, it should be clearly included in the upfront price, not revealed at the end?
This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated - and honestly also angry. I feel misled and taken advantage of. I would strongly recommend Care Skills to reflect on this practice to improve the client' experience.
On another positive note, the course was efficiently delivered and well structured and a member of staff was quick and helpful in resolving an initial technical issue.
