Fantastic RV and we had a fantastic holiday.
It lived up to our expectations. Very friendly Staff and the explanation was clear!
We would recommend everyone to hire an RV at your place. Thanks for making memories with our family we will never forget!

For the third time we rented a RV at Canadream after two rentals with a company in a lower league. Although it was high season the prices rise evey year to a point you start to wonder more and more about what else you can do or where you can go for that kind of money…

The choice for Canadream was also based on the fact that you get very good matresses. For a 4 week trip this is a very big pro. Unfortunately this year this was disapointing because each morning you got the feeling you had to crawl out of a big hole in the middle of the double bed.

Besides that point the RV never let us down and was fine to drive through east Canada.

Canadream ist ein verlässlicher Partner für einen entspannten Urlaub. Probleme lösen sich immer kurzfristig und unkompliziert Bestens lösen. Leider ist der Urlaub irgendwann zu Ende.

Wir waren pünktlich zur Check in Time vor Ort und bereit. Unser Fahrzeug stand vor der Türe bereit zur Abfahrt. Die Mitarbeitenden im Office waren leider nicht bereit. Sie waren vielmehr damit beschäftigt zu essen, miteinander zu plaudern oder uns zu ignorieren. Ist es so schwierig, freundlich zu sein, einfach einmal Hallo zu sagen oder zu grüssen? Wir warteten also nochmals 15 Minuten mehr und wunderten uns über die hohe Anzahl an Mitarbeitenden, welche sehr beschäftigt damit waren beschäftigt zu wirken.
Nachdem wir dann den Papierkram erledigt haben, gingen wir mit dem Mitarbeitenden zum Fahrzeug um es zu prüfen. Die Erklärungen waren kurz und knapp aber ausreichend. Wir hatten ja auch vorher bereits alle Videos angeschaut. Auf die Nachfrage, wo in dem Fahrzeug ein Mülleimer sei meinte der Mitarbeitende, es müsse einer hier sein. War er aber nicht. Er konnte uns auch keinen geben und erklärte uns, dass wir uns selber einen kaufen müssen.
Die Sauberkeit des Fahrzeuges liess leider zu wünschen übrig. Es war aber ok. Leider fiel nach 100 Meter Fahrt bereits eine Gardine herunter, da die Verschraubung des Vorhangbrettes gebrochen ist. Das hättet ihr nicht verstecken müssen. Das hättet ihr auch reparieren können oder wenigstens uns zeigen, damit wir es gleich wissen. Wir haben schon 6 Mal in Kanada und den USA Wohmobile gemietet, haben somit einige Erfahrungen gemacht. Dieses Mal war das erste Mal bei Canadream. Auch bei anderen Gesellschaften klappt nicht immer alles perfekt und auch dort sind die Fahrzeuge teilweise mangelhaft. Was bei Canadream aber anders war als bei anderen ist, dass hier die Mitarbeitenden unfreundlich und nicht sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit sind. Das ist wirklich schade, wenn die Ferien erst gerade beginnen. Das könnt ihr besser machen. Ein Lächeln, ein "Hallo", ein "Wie gehts?" kostet Euch nichts, würde Euch viel sympathischer machen.

Well, it seems that I did not get acurate information when I booked the van. One that I could buy the cancelation insurance after I booked, that I found out later was not the case. I was also told I could add more miles/km later if I thought we'd go over the plan I bought. Not being real familiar at km, I depended on the rep to advise me what would be adequate. When we realized we would definitely go over our plan and called to add on, was then told I needed to do that before we started our trip, which added extra cost. Also, during the pre-trip going over, the staff person showed up all the ins and outs, where things wer and how they worked. She pointed out the front privacy cover, etc. When we were setting for the first night, no rear window privacy cover was to be found. So we had to be sure to pick spots that nothing was behind us. Unfortunately, mornings come very early in NFLD in the summer! Also, the intermittent wipers did not work. In NFLD, rain, drizzle and fog is often the weather of the day and proved to be annoying and was kind of a safety hazard when needing to activate them by hand to clear the window. And the automatic sofa/bed, after the first time we set up for the night would not return to the sofa position. A little etra space would have made it easier to move around and enjoy our stopped time. A urgent situation at home required us to catch a earlier ferry back to N. Sydney and returned it two days early. Not that we expected a refund, but the vehicle was returned early and a little compensation for the issue we had would have been appropriate. ps. when we told the person who gave us the pre-trip tour that there was no rear windown cover, she pointed out that it was way above the rear doors. Who da thunk to look 10' up? That was missed during the pre-trip.

Great experience from start to finish. Great customer service and the rental was immaculate and looked brand new! Had a great time!

Though the incident happend was not my fault, the deposit is not yet returned, it is announced 60 days after the incident happend though i had a ful incurence by gotravelhome. I cannot accept your behavior.

Taking the linen, kitchen and premium plus packages were a game changer. Having all necessary utensils besides the basic knife, fork and spoon was a nice touch. Having the option to rent an actual coffee maker and toaster was good too ( cheaper than buying at Walmart). We rented out of USA last year and CanaDream definitely did a better job. Not overly impressed with the upcharge for early pick up but it is what it is. The office guy in Halifax even took time to show us other units as we are already planning our west coast trip next year

Very friendly staff, RV was clean and in an excellent condition, good equipment, gas consumption was only 24l, we would rent a Canadream RV again, thank you very much!

Wir hatten ein großes Wohnmobil gemietet.
Die Einweisung war etwas schnell, so hatten wir dann Probleme mit den Türen und mussten noch einmal hinfahren. Es leuchtete auch die Warnlampe für das Getriebe, was nicht abgestellt werden konnte.
Ansonsten war das Wohnmobil sehr gut ausgestattet.Die Betten waren sehr bequem.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Maxi Truck Camper
Die Übernahme wie auch die Rückgabe waren gut.

It was the best trip I’ve ever done. I travel a lot, but you can’t beat motor homing it across an island! The staff in Halifax was awesome, everyone of them! They went above and beyond. Thank you Halifax staff, you guys made our trip great!!

The Halifax staff were amazing stored our luggage, gave us directions to restaurants near by. We were 2hours early for our pick up appointment. On our return staff helped navigate through insurance and mileage which I was dreading. Staff explained the different options that would work best for us. We got a truck and camper. The truck and camper were both in great condition. We had the best experience on the East Coast.

They helped us very well and had a good service!

Pick up and drop off is unflexibel. Extra fees come up for everything. Kitchen equipment ist unsufficient and of poor quality. Assistance and support could be better.
