i was happy with the service i received and my tutor was lovely. i have not been able to continue at the moment for personal reasons but i will be enrolling here again when i can. when i told her i could not do my course now she was really helpful and understanding. only giving 4 stars because i didnt get to do my course because i had to cancel.

I was worried after I signed up and saw past reviews but I cant say I have had the same experience. My tutor has been great and I have been been able to work through my course fast. I found the online submission a bit confusing at first but I just spent some time figuring out where stuff is so now its easy. I only have a couple of assignments left of my AET course and then im hoping to maybe do my IQA later if my manager says its ok. I would recommend this college to others

They take people's money and then sever all communication with them. When I started my course I managed to get someone on the phone but that was because nobody was responding to my on line requests for help (I couldn't even log on to the course!) The person I spoke to said my 'tutor' would call me back, she never has. I have sent more emails, none has garnered a response and I have just spent half an hour listening to music being piped down the line, supposedly waiting for someone to answer, they clearly never will. How on earth can this be allowed?
In addition to this, when I did manage to figure out my problem with logging on and was therefore able to access the 'course materials', they were entirely sub-standard; some questions were so poorly constructed that you had to decipher for yourself what they really wanted you to respond to. Some questions that supposedly required an essay in answer could only truly be answered with a short list, and other questions were so ludicrously broad as to require an entire series of publications to fully answer!
The three kindest words I can find to sum up; waste...of...time.

Appalling from day one. Ordered Level 3 AET as many below have done. Documentation took a numbers of weeks to arrive and was poor when it eventually did.

After submitting assignment 1 and giving it due time I raised a support ticket & emailed to ask why my assignment was delayed, some two weeks later I raised the priority of the support ticket to High, we are now a further 2 weeks on and I have heard nothing.

I have emailed various people/email addresses and not yet had a single reply from anyone. I tried to phone the customer support line which rung out and the message said the inbox was unable to hold anymore voicemails. No luck there either...

I have today managed to speak to someone on the 'sales line' and been given yet another email address, she refused to give me a postal address to submit a formal complaint. I have once again given them a deadline to reply and told them in no uncertain terms I shall be contacting citizens advice and seeking a refund through other means if I do not here from them.

Do not used Educate QA/Cambridge Open College or any of it's other subsidiaries unless you want to be ripped off and/or scammed out of money.

Same problem as the gentleman below. I have paid for the Level 3 and they never reply back to anything - calls, live chats or emails. I haven't heard back! This is through Educate QA, which seems to be the trading name of Open Cambridge

I purchased a Level 3 Education Course via Educate QA (a trading name of Cambridge Open College). I can honestly say this was one of the worst educational experiences that I have ever been through. I feel like they treat you with contempt from the moment you sign over your fee to join the course. I am a medical doctor and I wanted to study for an education qualification in my own time to aid my practice. Educate QA have been unhelpful to the point of being rude - they give the impression that they do not care at all once you have paid your money to them. The only emails they will send you are automated ones to ask about how good their customer service has been - which is hugely ironic.

One of the biggest tricks that they played was to offer a 'Fast-track' option whereby you pay extra to receive quicker feedback (my initial feedback for a single question took months to come back). I therefore purchased this 'add-on' only to find they consistently did not meet their promise and I was left waiting long periods for feedback.

If there are not enough tutors to supply feedback within the stipulated time limit, the company should be less eager to take your money OR at least be upfront about the delays.

Of course, it is impossible to speak to anybody and email responses, when they do eventually come are unhelpful at best. I ADVISE AGAINST ANYBODY CONSIDERING PURCHASING A COURSE FROM THIS PROVIDER. IF MY EXPERIENCE IS THEN I CAN CONFIRM THAT THE SERVICE IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

The company are a shambles, no helpful communication other than automatic responses, and they do not mark your work so you are unable to move on through the course. I submitted my level 4 assignment of around 9000 words in July 2018 and it is now October and I have heard nothing. I have emailed all the available addresses, phoned, live chatted ( well tried to, no response!) and written via recorded delivery twice and still have had no communication from anyone. They are breaking the Consumer Rights Act and Trades Description Act, and clearly don't give a dam!

What a shambles this company are! Wanted to do my L3 award in education & training. Submitted assignments and 8weeks on no feedback. Staff are rude, dismissive and totally unhelpful, the company do not respond to emails
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Few years ago Cambridge Open College stopped answering to emails (questions "what happened ?" can be find on the Internet). Now (2017) I noticed it is working again so I wrote to them how can I continue or money back - no answer. I suppose it is a scam again. Old "college" was under number 05966841, New one has company number 09382907. It is stated (government) they works since 12/01/2015, but on the website (college) there is that since 2006; "old" started 13/10/2006. I smell a rat, but I can be wrong ! Befor you pay them check who will acknowledge their certificates, and just "in case" pay with a credit card so you have chance money back from the bank.
