What can I say?! Took my money. Asked for advice - nothing. Sent my first assignment - automated e-mail response. Waited, waited and waited.... Contacted by email - no reply... Resent the assignment in case it had been overlooked and, waited again... Tried asking a question on the site oh, guess what - still awaiting moderation!! Ridiculous!! Sent a message via Facebook - still waiting on a reply. Feel robbed, cheated and scammed! AVOID!!

Coursework has been sent off and still not marked over six months later. No contact at all from them. Been asked to pay more money to extend the time. Tried calling but on hold for over an hour. Emailed but no response. Colleague waiting for his HLTA qualification for his job!! Disgusting.

Did the Level 4 HLTA and loved it. Great course and excellent support throughout. The materials were clear and practical, and I felt confident applying what I learned straight away. My manager was able to write about my practice and this helped me feel less nervous about being observed because I work with her every day already. Highly recommend the course

Assessment not marked for months, not replying emails, help chat is always off, Tutor not answering, phone line is always off.. Scam.. I hope will get my money back..

Really happy with my course. I've learnt a lot and have just been successful for a new job. I wouldn't have got this without the course and I'm really grateful to my tutor for her help throughout.

Passed my last assignment and have really enjoyed my studies. its given me the push i needed to work towards changing career. I've been working in retail for the last 6 years but i want to work with children. i feel like the course has given me a good base and i want to do SEN next.

Enjoyed the course, it has alreay helped me in my job, and I feel like I have learnt a lot

Do not use, waste of money.
They set up a login and I started doing the course work but heard nothing back from a tutor. They take your money and don’t supply you with the course.
They don’t answer emails and they don’t give you a refund!!!!!
Please don’t use.

I signed up for a course Feb 18th 2024. As of today still cannot access course content. Emails bounce back and do not work. Phone number not correct. Luckily I have only paid 1 installment out of 3. But worried they will contact to say I did not cancel. I AM STILL WITHIN MY 14 DAYS COOL OFF PERIOD. I have sent a message in messenger on Facebook, and Instagram. I'm quite worried as I would prefer my money in my pocket rather than a scammer.
Their contact details DO NOT WORK. THEY ONLY WORK TO GET YOUR MONEY.

I contacted Cambridge Open college on their Instagram and Facebook page college on the same day I wrote the above review. Within the hour I received a reply, informing me to contact a different section which I duly did (this email address is not on their website whatsoever).
In next to no time I received an email stating they were sorry to hear this and that I would receive my refund with 3 to 5 days. Happy to say my full refund is now in my account.

Like my course. It easy to follow and my tutor has helped me use the online system.

Very poor and there criteria don’t meet what they actually want. I have been i the care industry for over 15years or more and the Director who is apparently a DR, speaks over you and won’t even let you talk once challenged. I spoken to someone before being verified that said I meet over the criteria.

Level 3 photography course.

Course materials are a poorly scanned book. Guidelines are not clear.
It is impossible to submit a ticket or assignments - the website is clearly not functioning as intended.
No replies to emails and the phone number provided does not work.
It looks like I won't get any refund either.
I recommend not to waste your money on it.

I enrolled on the Digital Photography Level 3 course and was extremely disappointed in what I received for the money paid. The description on the website was of it being 'absorbing', 'informative, and 'a comprehensive guide' which 'fully equips you for the life of a photographer'. What I found was an online workbook, in a font which is hard to read, has basic information, no pictorial examples (disappointing given the subject matter), no links to recommended reading or external resources and that I was unable to add notes or save.

They push the fact that there is a requirement to carry out your own investigations and research as part of the course, however for the price paid, I would have expected a lot more provision from the course than what was actually given.

I complained and asked for my money back and got a very curt response. I appreciate that I had gone past the 14 days (I really tried to get on with the course) and a refund may not happen but would have liked them to say they would look at my feedback and review the course content.

I have done a SEN TA and the degree is recognised, very happy with it.

Do not enrol with this college! They have taken my money and I have had no confirmation and no contact for 3 weeks. Phone number and email address on website is incorrect and when I finally did find a contact number no one picks up. Emails have been ignored. My bank has started a recovery as we believe it could be a scam or they have gone out of business but still taking peoples money.

WASTE OF MONEY - you do not get a national recognised qualification but a PDF certificate of achieve. Jobs wont accept certificate. They will just take your money. DO NOT SIGN UP!!!!!!!!!

Doing my HLTA qualification and I’m very happy. I am finding the course book easy to follow, and the way the assignment book is set out makes it clear what I need to do. I have not been able to do all the classroom tasks because of COVID but I am still able to do the written tasks which my tutor has been marking and helping me with by email. When I go back to work I know what I need to do to complete, so I’m happy with the progress I’m making and the support I’ve had from my tutor. Have recommended to other TAs I work with, and would recommend to others too.
