I had a few okay experiences with them but now they have stolen that last computer I sent to them and won't respond to my inquiries at all. Thieves!

Don’t trust them, they will lie and cheat you. The give excuses without evidence and have terrible customer service. On their website they will say an item is worth a price but not honor that price. I had my items reviewed buy the Apple Store before sending and got a letter stating my items where in perfect working order with no issues but when buybackworld gave me a reason why they where not honoring the price and refused to show proof or a clear explanation I knew this company was a fraud. Buyer beware do not trust them.

I got offered $50 for a brand new vacuum I wanted to sell that is $329 retail. I don’t even know how you could submit that offer with a straight face. This company is horrible, stingy, and has no shame.

I found out about this reseller after trying to find a place that would purchase my 24" Huion drawing tablet. There aren't a lot of places that buy something like this, so I was really glad they accepted Huion!

They've been receptive and communicated with me regularly whenever I had a question or concern. Shipping was easy! While they weren't able to provide a box big enough for me, they did give me a shipping label to attach to the box. I dropped my package off on 7/08/2026, and it arrived at their facility the following Monday, 7/13/2026.

I waited a week for them to inspect my Huion. When I felt that they were taking longer than expected, I emailed them, and they responded on 7/20/2026, telling me that they had an increase in trade-ins, but promised to expedite my order, which they did. My Huion Tablet passed inspection that same day!

They have been honest and communicative throughout the process of me selling to them, which I appreciate! However, the reason for the 4-star rating is that I have not received funds in my PayPal yet. They told me my funds would be available within the week. It is now Saturday, 7/25/2026!

Even though they say payments are issued in 2-3 business days, it's clear that isn't always the case. Sometimes there will be delays, so that's something to keep in mind if you need quick cash and decide to sell to them!

Right now, my order is still in the "Inspection Passed" stage, and it's just a matter of waiting. However, I wanted to share this review and let you know what my experience has been like so far. I will update this review again and share the exact date I receive my deposit!

*Update: As of today, 7/27/2026, they replied to an email I sent asking about the status of my payment. They have since told me that they opened a ticket with their Billing Department! I'll update again once I have an exact deposit date!

*Update: Today is 7/28/2026, and I have officially received my deposit! It arrived first thing in the morning! Again, while they were a bit slow to deposit, they were responsive, kept in touch, and answered any questions I had throughout the process. Again, while the deposit did take a bit longer than I thought, it's just a matter of communicating with them. Thank you, BuyBackWorld! If I ever need to sell another tablet in the future, I'll be sure to consider you!

Warning - do not sell anything to this company. I sent them a latop in excellent condition. 375 offer down to 35 ! Said the the screen wasn’t working! All lies, have pictures and videos showing my computer working perfectly! It was wrapped and sent to them personally, case, bubble wrap and strong shipping box. Refused the offer and asked to send back. I want to see what they send back. I will update when they do. I will be going to the NY authorities and reporting them to local news channel to warn others. Do not let them get away with this con! How many people have they done this too? I will soon find out.

Sold 3 items to BuyBackWorld — shipped 6/21, arrived at their facility 6/24. I was told by email to expect payment by 6/26. All items passed inspection between 6/30 and 7/3, with payment still owed via PayPal. It's now been 7 business days since the first item passed inspection, and 4 business days since the last — well past both their stated 2-business-day policy and the payment date they promised in writing. I've emailed customer service for over two weeks with no transaction ID, no confirmation payment was sent, and no clear timeline. If you're considering selling here, be aware that "fast payment" isn't guaranteed even when they tell you a date in writing.

This company got my iPhone inspected it and gave me an offer last week, and I have yet to be paid.

I sold them a pair of new AirPods Pro 3 sealed and have emails of all the steps along the way and they passed inspection and agreed to the payout I was offered initially. I chose Venmo as the payout since it was the quickest way. Their website claims 2 business days and the emails I received claims 2-3 business days. It has now been 6 business days and I followed up every day and am getting a bs email response claiming they created a “ticket” to receive my payment. Every single day passes and I only receive a response if I email them back and get the same answer.

Before selecting BuyBackWorld to sell my items, I compared them to another online buyer. While the other buyer had slightly better prices for some items, I was attracted to BuyBackWorld because they offer custom quotes and I had some electronics which are difficult to find buyers for locally.

I sold several batches of things to BuyBackWorld:
- Enterprise networking equipment
- Video game consoles
- A tablet

I found the experience to be generally straightforward and predictable. Across these batches, I chose to receive payment both via a check sent in the mail and via a digital check.

One item which I sold required a custom quote, which was provided within one business day.

BuyBackWorld was prompt in communicating the status of my items via email: from receipt to box opening to verification to payout. Generally speaking, from package receipt to payout took about 5 business days.

I did find some aspects of the website a bit confusing, particularly when I was paying return shipping for an item which I didn't unlock correctly. It wasn't clear to me if my payment for the return shipping had been counted or not. However, everything worked out without me needing to reach out to customer support. This is a minor issue.

I believe that I would have received more money for my items through private sale. However, the ease of selling items to BuyBackWorld was more than worth avoiding the pain and hassle of listing items, interacting with flaky buyers, and dealing with people who intentionally show up with less money than they promised as a negotiation tactic. BuyBackWorld definitely saved me a huge headache selling my things and they will be my first choice to sell any other things I want to in the future.

I had a brand new Meta Quest 3 VR set with 512MB. I purchased it through Meta and never used it or activated the VR set. I chose BuyBackworld recently to sell my VR set and they gave me a quote of $250. I sent my VR set to them in the original box and everything that came with it. After 1 weel via UPS, it finally received it on April 17, 2026 and they told me they will review it and get back to me in 3 business days. Today, April 21, 2026, I received an urgent email from them saying my Meta Quest 3 was in poor condition and it was BROKEN and they would ONLY pay me $25!! THAT VR SET WAS NOT BROKEN. IT WASNT USED!! I rejected their offer and they supposedly will mail me my "broken" Meta Quest 3 to me by next week. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied in the treatment and service that they provided! Why are these people in business or theft and bad service?! They are the worse in the business. I will never trust them again!!

The receiving and inspection went quickly. Got an email on Tuesday, 3/10/26 saying my item passed inspection and to expect payment in 2-3 business days to my Venmo account. It's now been 8 business days and they haven't sent the payment or responded to NUMEROUS email inquiries. Beware!

*Update*... I received my check via email the other day. They indicated it had been sent out already but provided me a link in another email where I could download the check. It took 3 weeks to get paid. I give high remarks for the layout of their website, ease of using it & different payment options but customer service sucks. Changing from 1 to 3 stars because they followed through with the payment.
I sold them a phone & they claim they sent out my check via email which I never got. Ive sent numerous emails and no response. When I call their number either nobody answers or the phone is picked up then hung up. I do not what is going on with this company but its been a bad experience. Still waiting on my payment of $405 which as of March 3, 2026 I still have not received. Praying this business is not a scam. Emails & phone calls go unanswered.

Horrible never received anything and its a whole month later, first they got an empty box without my item in it, then all of a sudden it passes inspection and i will be paid 3-5 business days. A month goes by and still nothing these guys are crooks at this point I feel like they robbed me.

Ok i just got an email that i got paid sheesh 🤷🏽‍♂️ u gotta complain a few times to get things done. Thanks for the payment, but i will never use or recommend the site to anyone.

After receiving my item, they promised to review it in a couple of days - after two weeks I had to ask their customer service and they finally did it. Promised to get me my money in a couple of days - had to again escalate to customer service two weeks later to make it happen. If you communicate deadlines to customers, try and make them.

Never use this company it took them to long to finish inspection I had to send a ticket in to get it done and then they said it would be 2 business days to pay me and I just received it 6 days later after I put in a ticket

Been waiting over 3 weeks now. Accepted revised offer and have still yet to receive my money. PAYPAL takes all of 30 seconds.. they ahve great apprasail procing, but at the cost of customer satisfaction. Smh
