A brief history going back a few years.
We have 3 landlines and 2 Broadband. BT Business Coventry.
Work from an isolated farm 700 meters from the main road with bad cabling always letting us down.
Then got a call saying they could save us money and sold BT Business with 4G backup which worked fine for a while even though it cost more.
Then called to say the old analogue lines are being discontinued so I told them to cancel the three land line we have as we only ever get Nuisance calls on them and carry on the the BT Business with 4G backup.
The order went in and nothing happened, phone to find out the order had been cancelled. Re-ordered....Cancelled.
Called BT to find out why to be told it was a mistake on the address but no one called to check it.
Account with wrong address closed and new one opened.
New equipment arrived, plugged in, basic Broadband works giving about 2mb download but 4G backup doesn't work even if you unplug the landline cable
Report fault, engineer turns up spends several hours with no luck and goes telling me he will report report the problem.
Hear nothing, several calls to Local business with no result. then get to speak with Jake who is helpful and we agree he will sell me an EE Smart 5G Hub which works great Thanks Jake. He says he will report all the problems to the Service team but they haven't contacted me.
All I want is the faulty 4g Systems taken back and I will have another EE Smart 5G Hub.

PS The overseas call centres may save you Thousands but will end up costing you Millions

I highly recommend the customer service we have received from BT Customer Service Lincoln office, Michael was very knowledgeable and informative. I am pleased we have signed for a 3 year contract.

Recently got a help from Jamee Ali who works at BT local business to set up the new account and updated all of the services for us. He is very professional and patient, did an excellent job! I will give 10 stars for him if I could!

I have spoken to BT Business this morning about my existing contract that does not run out until next year 2025. I am correct in my thinking that I will be contacted by BT when my particular line is going to be transferred AND I can use my existing equipment. I do not need to, nor do I wish to enter into an alternative contract with yourselves.

Constant harassment. Unable to understand the word no. Constantly misunderstanding no as yes. Disgusting sales techniques

Absolute nightmare to deal with say I signed a 5 year contract with them , when all I wanted was my number reinstated after a major cock up at there end.
Wouldn't mind but it is nearly times more expensive than going to BT Business directly.
Be very careful as BT local Business is independent and only sub contacts to BT they get paid to fleece you.

BT falls far below the standard of service and professionalism expected from a company of its size. The first major issue is their inability to communicate effectively, whether by email or phone. They provide weak excuses like their Outlook being down or staff being unavailable, and they hide behind rigid protocols and terms and conditions. They've completely lost touch with what customer service should be, constantly shifting the blame onto the customer.

Their strategy is clear: frustrate customers to the point where they're forced to take the complaint to the Ombudsman. Once you do, BT washes their hands of you, claiming, 'Since it's with the Ombudsman, we can't communicate with you directly.' It’s a clear game they play to avoid responsibility. Don't fall into this trap—Game, Set, and Match to BT.

Absolutely disgusting service. We are 3 YEARS into a contract and are still yet to receive a single correct bill.
Broken promises follow outright lies, calls and emails are ignored and we now have a member of staff who is experiencing Mental Health issues because of the anxiety this shocking service is causing. BT literally do not care. Ombudsman has been involved for 18 months and whilst BT make all the right noises, nothing is resolved.

Usual story - made worse by my lack of knowledge and gullibility. I didn't even know that BT Local Business weren't BT and of course this never made clear in selling process. Was told that BT Cloud Voice was being scrapped, and landline going, so I apparently needed a mobile phone system for office - this despite my pointing out that our office is a desk at home with one phone that needs an easy answering service, and we need a good broadband service. Charming salesperson so believed he was advising best for our business in circumstances (didn't know how often I was being misled at the time). Going through contract was told that a 5 year contract was standard, and wasn't offered alternative (we retire in 3 years time!). Feel stupid, and mis-sold, and so stressed by the whole thing. Mobile phone doesn't work because BT use EE and we don't have an EE signal at home. Have raised complaint with BTLB which was immediately passed over the BT themselves. BT Complaints went through the motions (taking their time about it) but just said "you signed, so tough" (not their words, but you get the idea). Asked for recordings and transcripts of all phone calls. Finally got all recordings (no transcripts).....except, guess which, the selling conversation which is apparently missing (I have not been given any explanation as to why the most important conversation is not available to me). Requested a deadlock letter, but none forthcoming.
DO NOT TRUST what BT Local Business offices tell you. CHECK ALL FACTS before signing anything.

Avoid at all cost's they will not save you any money ! Nothing but Grief ! BT local business Glasgow, once you have signed up that's it, they make thing's as difficult as they possibly can, Anthony and his Manager Scott are a total waste of time, they will not return call's or email's, I would definitely not recommend these people to anyone, they are not part of BT but are a franchise and are absolutely hopeless

BT Local Business Greater London North East mis sold me a contract in November last year and its taken 7 months to come to light, and for the last 2 months they've failed to respond to every attempt to contact them, always promising a response. They are horrendous, do not deal with these people.

Absolutely shocking service. Harass you to sign the contracts but 3 months down the line we are still trying to sort our new service. Our “business manager” no longer replies to e-mails, texts or phones. Been fobbed off to the manager and she is no better. It’s everyone else’s fault, but they did not listen to our needs and now we do not have anything we asked for. Completely useless. I wish we had never got involved with them! So infuriating.

Avoid this company at all costs. They are in constant touch when you are thinking about entering a contract. Carl told me he would always be our Manager...once we signed he was always unavailable with all sorts of excuses. No one EVER rings you back.......shouldnt be allowed to trade!

i'd never heard of this local business team but they rang me and explained surround business were having issues and if i would like a review.

was it sales call yes, did it work yes. I went for BT net and highly would recommend. ive one issue which was a fault on the line they were very honest it saying they dont deal with a redirected me which was fixed with in the hour. Thank you bethany - true telecom wizard

Total and complete incompetence. No clue on their own processes. Fail to return calls/emails. No understanding of their own Ts & Cs. You name it, they fail at it.
This is the Post Office scandal in Telco. Worst experience in 30 years of business.
Appalling.

Total incompetence, sole trader left without phone line and internet on multiple occasions, the longest of which was for a month! BT then cancelled my service saying another provider took it over and gave a bill for £500+ as still in contract, no other provider had taken over my service and despite numerous hours spent on the phone or in the chat box its still not resolved and they sneakily have no email contact so theres no paper trail and you'll have to retell the issue every time. shame on you BT for treating your business customers so atrociously.

They are lying to people about stop sell order on FTTC ofcom should really be addressing this as they are misleading people into very expensive bt net leased line deals and costing them hundreds of pounds every month over simply upgrading for free to fttp connections it's shocking.

They are like vampires, do not invite them in!

Here we go again with bt business rather than return my call from last invoice bt cut my phone off with out telling me being a restaurant we need phone for bookings
I try live chat only to be told it closes at 6 after going through the motions isn’t hard to understand people going else where with this service totally disgusting behaviour

Do not deal with this company they are terrible. I just needed an extra phone for my BT cloud voice system but they tried to change the name on my account and I was left waiting 3 months for the extra prone. They are just not interested once they have made a sale did not return calls or emails.

Not BT only a franchise. Once they get your signature they completely disappear. Complained about their salesman and Manager called me who was the last sales person who ghosted us 3 years earlier and left us with a contract and no support. Ofcom should be monitoring these companies as people are misled into believing they are actually BT.
