i have long cancelled the sbscription for 3 months, but i still get deductions happening to my card.

I want to warn others about my experience with BestPDF.

I signed up thinking it was a simple PDF tool, but I was later charged without clearly understanding it was a recurring subscription. The billing was not transparent and the subscription terms were not obvious at the time of payment.

I had to go through a refund process to get my money back. Fortunately, I was refunded, but the experience was misleading and stressful.

Be careful before entering any payment details on this site. Check subscription terms carefully, and assume it may auto-renew.

I am posting this so others don’t get caught in the same situation.

Beware of BestPDF – subscription cancellation issues and scam.when you try to cancel and get a refund, they won't. Costumer service is like AI. Terrible. SCAM

Ho attivato un accesso di prova di 7 giorni al costo di 0,95 €, ma non era affatto chiaro che si sarebbe trasformato automaticamente in un abbonamento mensile da 39,95 €.
Mi sono ritrovata quindi con un addebito non previsto. Ho contattato il supporto chiedendo il rimborso, ma è stato rifiutato facendo riferimento alla loro policy di “non rimborsabilità”.
Ho aperto disputa tramite PayPal, vediamo se ottengo rimborso.
Esperienza negativa per la scarsa trasparenza e per la gestione poco corretta lato assistenza clienti.

Fraud!! I used their service once for .95p and was charged for a subscription i was not aware of. Why are these criminals allowed to trade?

Highly deceptive billing practices. I was charged for a membership I did not knowingly sign up for after making what appeared to be a one-time payment. When I asked for a refund, support pushed back and tried to avoid reimbursing me. This feels like a trap, not a legitimate customer experience. Use extreme caution with this company.

Worst service ever, you think you'll pay once for a service but you'll end up being charged £39.95 a week later for a plan you never subscribed for. Absolute scam! Stay away from it!

Canceled my free trial and they still charged me 40$. Customer service refused to make it right. My card info was lifted less than a week after my cancelation which is suspicious to me as well as I made no other payments that were out of the ordinary. Stay away. Wish I had looked them up ahead of time.

paid 0.95 for a one-off service, then charged me 39 for a subscription - asked for a refund: they have a very nice AI bot responding to your email saying they cannot refund, but have no system to give you a heads up about an incoming charge.

Attention ARNAQUE ! J'ai payé 0,95 € le 16/03 pour un document unique. Le MÊME JOUR, ils m'ont prélevé 39,95 € via Apple Pay sans mon consentement et sans aucune notification.

J'ai contacté le service client immédiatement. Non seulement ils refusent de rembourser, mais ils mentent ouvertement sur la loi : ils prétendent que le délai de rétractation de 14 jours est dépassé alors que nous sommes le 27/03 (soit seulement 11 jours après l'achat !).

Ils ignorent les mails et envoient des réponses automatiques de "Tom" proposant "2 ans gratuits" pour garder votre argent volé. J'ai déjà lancé une procédure de Chargeback avec ma banque, un signalement sur SignalConso et une plainte auprès d'Apple Support.

Fuyez ce site, ce sont des voleurs qui ne respectent pas le droit européen de la consommation.

Laten je eerst een klein bedrag betalen, en dan halen ze ongeautoriseerd 39,95 € van mijn paypal rekening zogezegd voor een abonnement. Terugbetaling gevraagd, wordt geweigerd, bieden dan een abonnement van 2 jaar aan, waar ik niet op ingegaan ben, wil met die bedriegers niets meer te maken hebben.

Visited their site and was unwittingly signed up for $39.95 USD.
It was two months before I noticed the money gone.
I emailed them to cancel “subscription” and they wanted more bank details “to assist in locating the transactions”.
I had to cancel my card and lost the money for the subscription I never used and didn’t knowingly sign up for.
BEWARE.

You pay 0.95 for a convention, they refund you the 0.95, and then start charging you 39 pounds a month.

I initially paid $0.95 to translate a document from French to English, as advertised on the website. After entering my payment details, I was charged and able to download the file, but nothing was actually translated. I tried again with the same result—no translation at all.

At no point during payment was it clearly stated that this was part of a subscription. Only later, in small text at the bottom of the email receipt, it mentioned a 7-day trial that would automatically renew for $39.95 if not canceled.

A week later, I was unexpectedly charged $39.95. I had no intention of subscribing, and the service was presented as a one-time payment.

I requested a refund multiple times, especially since I never received the promised service, but they refused and did not properly address my request.

This was my last money, and I received nothing in return. Very disappointing and misleading experience. I strongly advise others not to trust this service.

Wish I could put 0 stars. But its a scam!!! Tried to translate an audio. Paid for the product and had to make a subscription which was very misleading. Luckily I checked and cancelled right after I couldnt even open the file I paid for.

this company are a scam basically - thought I'd just paid 95p for a one off job next thing they're taking forty quid for a "subscription" which is "non- refundable" It's basically extortion so beware of this lot

Then came the bang €39.95 hit my credit card.

I contacted Best pdf immediately and pointed out to them that their Terms and conditions make no mention whatsoever of the actual amount of the ''subscription'' leading people to mistakenly believe that the nominal amount of .88 cent is the complete / final charge.

After a lot of toing and froing emails with ''No refund'' being the repeated response
I made them aware that under Eu law'' Dark Pattern'' as defined under the EU Digital Services Act(DSA) 2024 is illegal and can be contested in European courts
The company are based in Cyprus and are therefore subject to this law

I received total within 30 minutes.
