I’ve been using eBay for over 20 years…
I’ve been using eBay for over 20 years and never experienced a company like this. I ordered a mattress it came in two weeks with holes rips and filthy dirty I contacted the company on eBay a man contacted me from the company to tell me that they will send a new mattress out. He came on the phone and explained what I had to do on my eBay account. step-by-step and then at the end said close the return two weeks later the new mattress turned up was not the same mattress. I ordered flimsy half the weight of the last mattress. The delivery driver confirm this with me and I did not accept the mattress they took photos of the old mattress but did not take it away now waiting over a month. I’ve got fed up and asked them for a refund and because they did not take the old dirty mattress, they said I’m not entitled to it. Will not take the old dirty mattress or refund me.I did not refuse them to take it because why would I want a mattress with holes and filthy dirty? I’ve now gone through eBay. And because I closed the return, which the man from the company told that is what I’ve got to do to get the new mattress. It’s a massive con because eBay will not help me as I’ve closed the return lucky enough. I recorded the conversation with me and the man from the company telling me step-by-step what I had to do this will now be reported tomorrow for the investigation to eBay and I will not stop till I get a refund.

Following a full review, we can see that you refused to accept the replacement that was arranged. While we appreciate that you were unhappy with the replacement, eBay’s policies are clear, and we are required to follow the decisions and procedures set by eBay.
eBay ultimately reviewed the case and closed it without issuing a refund. This decision was made by eBay, regardless of whether the return was closed before or after the replacement was arranged. We appealed the matter to eBay on your behalf and provided them with the relevant information, but eBay did not uphold the appeal.
We also note that one of our agents spent approximately one hour on the phone with you in an attempt to assist and resolve the matter, and we contacted eBay separately on your behalf to explain the circumstances. Unfortunately, these efforts are not reflected in your feedback.
We fully understand that you may be unhappy with the outcome, but we would appreciate it if feedback could reflect the complete circumstances rather than presenting only one side of the situation to play the victim.
To be clear, the case was closed by eBay without a refund, and this was based on eBay’s decision and policies rather than a decision made by us.

I purchased a mattress on 2 August with an estimated delivery date of 6–11 August. The item was marked as dispatched on 4 August, but there were no meaningful tracking updates and it did not arrive within the estimated timeframe.
When I contacted the seller, I was told delivery would be delayed until the following weekend. I contacted the delivery company myself and was told they had not received the mattress from the seller, despite the seller stating that it was already “in transit”.
When I said I would raise the matter with eBay, the seller responded that doing so would “give us an extra 5 days ;)”. I found this extremely concerning.
Communication was also unnecessarily rude and unprofessional, including comments telling me to “act like an adult”.
After considerable back and forth and having to open an Item Not Received case with eBay, I eventually received my full refund.
I am pleased the money has now been returned, but the whole experience was extremely stressful and time-consuming. I would not purchase from this seller again.
Even more concerning they know how to play eBay and have had my feedback removed as it’s not directly about the product.
After the companies response… I find this response extremely misleading and disappointing.
At no point was I told that my order had been cancelled because of a “fraud-prevention flag”. I was repeatedly told the mattress was “already in transit”. I personally contacted the delivery company, who confirmed they had NOT received the mattress from the seller.
I also have written evidence of the seller telling me that opening an eBay case would “give us an extra 5 days ;)”. I was then forced to open an Item Not Received case with eBay before eventually receiving my £275.49 refund.
I have never claimed that I was not refunded. My review concerns the experience: the missed delivery estimate, contradictory information regarding dispatch, the communication I received and the need to escalate the matter through eBay.
If the seller maintains that a fraud-prevention issue caused the cancellation, that is a completely different explanation from the one I was given at the time. I stand by my review and have evidence supporting the account I have given.

Following a review of the order, we identified multiple issues and alerts associated with the transaction, including a fraud-prevention flag. As a result, the order was cancelled in accordance with the applicable eBay policies and procedures.
For privacy, security and fraud-prevention reasons, we are not permitted to publicly disclose the specific checks, flags or information that resulted in the order being reviewed. We appreciate that this may be frustrating, but these are matters that we cannot discuss publicly.
For clarity, our records show that the order was processed for dispatch and a valid tracking number was provided. However, concerns were subsequently identified in relation to the transaction, and we made the decision not to proceed with the order. The order was therefore cancelled and refunded.
We would also like to clarify that the removal of the eBay feedback was not something we could simply request or decide ourselves. The feedback was removed through the eBay process in connection with the circumstances surrounding the order.
We appreciate that Trustpilot does not have access to the private transaction information, security checks or internal records held by eBay. Consequently, a public review cannot provide the full context surrounding why the order was cancelled.
We respect every customer's right to share their experience, but we believe it is important for anyone reading this review to understand that the order was not cancelled without reason. It followed a review of the transaction and the identification of concerns through the relevant fraud-prevention processes.
The customer was refunded, and no further action was required from them in relation to the cancelled order.
We are unable to discuss confidential security information publicly, but we remain happy to cooperate with eBay or any appropriate authority should further information be legitimately required.
Not a pocket sprung mattress.
I've read the reviews. Also the replies from the company. One seems quite threatening, from the company.
Because she called it a scam. Well it is a scam business. The supposed orthopaedic pocket sprung mattress. Is not pocket sprung. It's just a nasty cheap mattress. It's also not fire resistant. So it's a dangerous scam.
I will be sending photos and videos to trading standards. Bedsdivans. Said I could have a refund if it wasn't delivered on the Wednesday. And i could keep mattress for free. I have all messages to prove it. It was already a week late. They then went back on their word. I only wish I could post photos here.
The mattress isn't fire resistant either.
It burns. I'm just glad I can send Ebay and trading standards photos. Yes, after I showed Bedsdivans the photos of inside the mattress. All of a sudden they wanted to give me a refund. Strange huh..
16th August i received a full refund. From Ebay after sending photos showing it wasn't a pocket sprung mattress... there was also a video of a little piece of the mattress burning. It is not fire resistant. So therefore its dangerous. All fake goods come with fake labels. I will share evidence with anyone who wants to see it. There's complaints about this company that go back years. I only wish I'd looked at reviews before using this company. Live n learn.

The mattress supplied was the product ordered and was advertised with the specifications stated in the listing. We take the accuracy of our product descriptions and the safety of our products extremely seriously.
We also do not accept the allegation that the mattress is “dangerous” or that it is not fire resistant. If you believe there is a genuine safety or compliance concern, we are more than willing to provide the relevant product information and documentation to the appropriate authority for independent assessment. We would ask that serious allegations of this nature are based on appropriate testing or evidence rather than conclusions drawn from photographs or videos.
With regard to the comments about the mattress being “not pocket sprung”, the construction and specification of the mattress are stated in the product listing. We are therefore unable to accept the suggestion that we knowingly advertised a different product from the one supplied.
Regarding the refund and delivery, there appears to be a significant difference between your interpretation of the communications and the position recorded in the order correspondence. We have reviewed the matter and have responded to you accordingly. Any discussions regarding a possible resolution were subject to the circumstances and the terms communicated at the time, and we have not deliberately attempted to mislead you or “go back on our word”.
We also note your comments regarding eBay and Trading Standards. Scam seller. Avoid at all costs. Advertised an orthopaedic pocket sprung mattress with memory foam, but sent a cheap, basic spring mattress with zero foam. When confronted, they falsely claimed the foam was "in the middle." They then manipulated me into closing my official return/refund case by promising to send the correct mattress. Once the case was closed, they admitted they do not even stock the mattress shown in the image. Now, they are refusing a free return and demanding I pay £72 to send back their incorrect item. Total scam tactics.

Terrible, unprofessional customer service, even told me my review will be removed if i write any. The return fee is unreasonably expensive, costing over half the item price. Mattress not as firm as an orthopaedic one shloud. Would not recommend at all.

As this was an ordering error rather than a fault with the item, the return collection cost is payable by the buyer, as the fee is charged directly by the courier for the collection service.
We understand that this may not have been the outcome you were hoping for. However, we do not believe it is fair to leave negative feedback simply because we were unable to offer a free return for an order placed in error. Throughout the process, we followed the applicable policy and provided all available assistance.

King Divan that completely broke
Bought a king divan that completely failed. One half collapsed completely and other half sank in. Refused to repair or refund even though it was within 6 months as per the Consumer Goods Act & Sales of Goods Act. Rude, dismissive and no help at all. Avoid at all costs and spend your money elsewhere otherwise you will regret it!

Following a thorough review, we can confirm that the items were damaged during use due to exceeding the recommended weight capacity. This information was clearly provided prior to your purchase.
We note that you contacted us approximately seven months after delivery, requesting a repair or replacement. However, as the damage resulted from use beyond the specified limits, this is not covered under the warranty. Additionally, no insurance was purchased to cover such circumstances.

Great company, polite staff and brilliant quality of beds
Great company, I was in a rush to purchase a bed due to a previous company letting me down on delivery. I visited the beds divan showroom and spoke to the staff who were very polite and welcoming. I explained the bed I wanted and they got everything sorted for me within the day! Brilliant service and bed is amazing thank you.

A 5⭐️service provided from ordering to delivery
The service and communication that I received was first class with prompt responses to my queries. I was informed at every step of the delivery, with the delivery guys phoning me when they were 20 mins away.
The delivery guys were happy and polite and my bed was delivered with a smile.
Regarding the bed, the bed was delivered within the quoted time frame and the quality of the materials and finish are excellent. I personally recommend the Seller. A 5⭐️service provided from ordering to delivery

Terrible service
Terrible service. I ordered a bed for a tenant on March 15th ×025, The payment screen said expected delivery, 20th March. I then received an email telling me if the address was within 100 miles of their postcode delivery would be 7-10 days, if outside the 100 miles, which the address was, it would be 10-15 days. I phoned the company directly, twice to see when the delivery would actually be but they couldn't tell me on either occasion as the delivery company was a 3rd party and I would have to wait for a text message from the delivery company. The bed was finally delivered on April 1st. 12 days over them originally saying the 20th March.
