Terrible agents!
Refuse to believe anything their tenants say, even when proven wrong, they are right. They just argue with you and won't listen to your point of view or even consider that we are not at fault
Door leaks? Must be dog wee, even when shown it is not and there's no possible way the dogs can get to that door.
Repairs? Haven't heard of them, even though they've been reported multiple times and shown to an agent.
8 months to repair a hole in the floor big enough for a child to fit through. Almost a year to complete the new legal electrical requirements. Not to mention the repairs that needed doing when we first moved in 5 years ago.
Builders leave a HUGE mess, tenants fault for having stuff 'lying around'. Even though that stuff was thrown into the middle of every room because Bradley's refused to forward any correspondence saying we had to move ALL over furniture before they turned up. So naturally because we have 'too much stuff' its ok that I had to take multiple days off work and now have irreplaceable items and collectables now covered in plaster. As well as the rubbish in the garden. Bits of saw, screws, metal etc on the floor with babies and dogs around is apparently acceptable practice.
New electrics (from our friendly cowboys mentioned above) don't work and they say its our BRAND NEW washing machine (even though it works fine in other plugs in the house) and now threatening us with being responsible for damaging the new electrics.
Every time we need something doing its down to the tenants to contact the builders, or landlord etc, so I'm not sure what they actually get paid to do?
Mention any of these times and they tell you you are in violation of your tenancy and threaten eviction. We've already made an official complaint but that's conveniently being ignored.
Sadly We've learnt that more gets done when making complaints publically. 2.3 stars i think says a lot, its not just us that aren't happy

Terrible service false promises and personally I feel that I have been discriminated of my name or race. Because i phone up the office to make a appointment to view a property on 10 Eastern Avenue Liskeard. I explained my self to the branch Manger Martin Durber that I am very interested and a cash buyer and ready to go I will be travel up from north Warwickshire. He said ok appointment was made me and my family traveled to Cornwall to view the property. To which surprise he phoned me and txt me to say the property has sold. Very Disappointed with Bradley’s And the branch manger is so rude and I feel he was discriminating me because of my race or name. Not even give me the opportunity to see the house made me travel all that way for nothing . So I personally feel that Bradley’s staff members need more training and politeness and don’t lye to customers and make them travel that far. Me and my family feel really upset. And will be writing to the chairman of the company regarding this matter I wish it not to happen again to someone else to professional at all….

awful company on the lettings side of the buisness.
Take the money and have no interest in the propertys really.
We have had to endure two years of a crazed dog going mad in their rental next door.
Two years of complaints and nothings been done.
Property is poorly kept and the courtyard is a health hazard at times. Mutley Plymouth and Exmouth branch are the sites so watch out.

They are very helpful and attentive. Have given us excellent advice. We would highly recommend them.
Read the reviews and decide. I wish I had and hadn't bothered with this ridiculously inefficient company. I've put in my complaint and I am taking it to the ombudsman. I have never experienced anything like it and feel very sorry for the poor landlord trying to let his/her property.....I've been trying for past 6-8 weeks to get a response. I've also given all my private information including savings details on their online form only to be told they don't have it! I'll take my business elsewhere. Really not sure how Bradley's is managing to keep going with the reviews on here and with the service they are offering. Very, very poor.

I'm shocked by the poor reviews on here! The Bradleys we bought our house from have been amazing. Bradleys in Plympton, Devon have been polite and very efficient in dealing with any issues we had. Harry and Sharon helped us to deal with awful solicitors and they dealt with our house from start to finish. Very quick at returning phone calls and emails. I would recommend the Plympton Bradleys.
Would give less than 1 star if I could!!!! They left my parents property without heating or hot water (boiler was condemned) for 7 days. They are aware my father has a serious heart condition and as a result he had to find alternative accommodation due to his health suffering, which the agents will not support or compensate. They only felt the situation of no heating or hot water for 7 days in winter was 'inconvenient'. Having worked in this industry for years I am aware of legislation stating the property would be deemed un-inhabitable; not to mention the endless list of repairs they never see to e.g. serious damp, windows hanging on by screws, leaking window seals etc.
The worst agent/property management I have ever come across, completely shocked they are still in business and we will be taking legal action for sure.
PLEASE STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
Having now spoken with the landlord is extremely frustrated with the way the agents have acted and have not kept him informed....so the below response is totally invalid

Thank you to Ben and the team at Bradleys Sidmouth for their help in buying our new home. From our first viewing Ben was always cheerful and positive – he steered us through the process very smoothly, making the whole thing so much easier. Many thanks to you all.

Shocking service and aggressive behaviour. The word SHARK comes to mind when dealing with these clowns. Threatening language used at every opportunity. Bullied us saying they would not present a full ask offer to the buyers. Expectations of offers 20-50% over asking price. These guys act like they are the lead character in the Wolf of Wall Street... In Cornwall! How they are still in business is beyond me.
Suggestion on how to deal with them; Go to Harding & Laity - they will bend over backwards to help you find the right fit for you!

Do NOT engage with this company. This company is stuck in the 1980s with regards to service and in particular ethics. Total Sharks.

Was in the process of purchasing a house through Bradley's in Teignmouth!!
First we had a serious amount of time wasted via their mortgage broker who offered us unacceptable mortgages.
We then went "all guns blazing to sell and save as much as possible" added to a new mortgage offer that was compliant, through a reputable independent financial advisor.
In position to exchange, after the vendors solicitors chased us for update, when without as much as a telephone call an apparent bidding war had taken place! Previously there had been no such interest for a year!!!!
Our solicitors said he had been TOLD we were no longer proceeding or interested in the purchasing. COMPLETE FABRICATION
This experience could not have been more miss managed or wrong, with a possible conflict of interest with the vendors being related to Estate Agent employee
We have now lost the best part of a thousand pounds in conveyancing and have always been honourable and good intentions.
The truth will come out!
Update 2
Thank you Bradley's
I am well aware what a vendor is of whom were happy to go along with us right up to exchange when their solicitors were told we were no longer interested or buying!
I smell a rat!!!

We purchased our house through Bradleys, starting the process in November 2020 and finally completing in late April 2021. Sadly our experience throughout the whole process was disappointing, stressful and very upsetting. The lack of basic manners and refusal to communicate with us led to a very unpleasant house move experience. We worried anytime that we had a query as we were made to feel we couldn't email or phone Bradleys during the purchase process.
When we first viewed the property Bradleys knew we had sold both of our properties and were in a strong position to proceed, with a mortgage in principal also agreed. We were advised at the time that the seller “would happily go into rented in order to secure a sale.” However there was then a refusal to move and temporary accommodation couldn’t be considered. Bradleys didn’t support the progression of the sale, didn’t work with the seller to find a mutually agreeable solution and we were made to feel that we were making unnecessary demands. Sadly Bradleys refused to negotiate and work with both parties, it was as if they didn’t want the sale to complete. An initial completion date was proposed by the chain, put forward to Bradleys with a simple “No” response. Nothing else, no suggested new date, just no! When I pressed and asked what would normally happen I was told the chain would just wait! How can a chain wait indefinitely?!
The Sales Progression Lead was not aware under Covid lockdown rules that you are permitted to move into a holiday let for the purpose of moving house. We now know this to be a lie as another sale which went through Bradleys (and the same Sales Lead) the family had to move out in early January into a holiday let which was forcefully encouraged by Bradleys. After we suggested the seller could move temporarily we were advised that they couldn’t move into temporary accommodation because they would have removal and storage costs. However we were asked by Bradleys to move in with parents or into rented despite having two houses that needed to be moved and stored, plus we weren’t the ones holding up the chain. When we were worrying and upset with the prolonged process and lack of progression, I received a very unhelpful comment from the Branch Manager of “If I had a magic wand I’d be sat on a desert island with a cocktail in my hand!”
When we felt the sale was never going to complete we advised the Sales Progression Lead that the position was becoming untenable and we may need to consider pulling out, to have a simple “Ok” as her response! We only ever asked for reasonable progression. Any requests for specifics such as arranging an electrical inspection had been on the advice of our solicitor. The whole process took over 5 months and we had to spend several thousands of pounds paying for rent and storage. Whilst we wouldn’t expect Bradleys to compensate us it would have been nice at the very least for someone to empathise to our position and the additional financial pressure it put us under.
We understand buying and selling houses is complicated and can take time but sadly we feel Bradleys made the whole process a lot more difficult than it ever needed to be and we would discourage anybody from buying through Bradleys Estate Agents.
Bradleys (St Ives branch) have let us down. We expressed a strong interest in a new build and was told it had been sold the day before our visit. I asked to be kept informed of any developments. This 'sale' fell through and i was not called. Instead i noticed it was back on the market on rightmove. Called again, made an appointment and again told with great relish that it had been sold....and yesterday I noted that the property had again come to market and I had had no call. Basically told that they are too busy. I got the impression the agent i spoke to didn't really want to sell it to me.

Terrible customer service, me and my partner should of had a phone call appointment at 10am today... no call so my partner rang them and explained that we had no phone call to then here that the person ringing us was on holiday, then to add to it, the person who was supposed to ring did ring us back after we called the estate agents with terrible attitude telling us to go else where cuz he doesn’t want to deal with us and he is self employed so he didn't give a toss about our custom, my partner who was not happy after having such a rude person speak to them like this rang Bradleys back and explained what happened for us to have a higher up manager ring us tell us we are liars and he doesn't believe what the mortgage adviser had said to us and basically told us to go else were, totally unprofessional and made to feel like a idiot, for a place that won awards on customer service, really don’t understand how you can be so rude

Offer accepted on our much wanted marital home to be. Bradleys Residential Mortgage Broker then went about finding us a mortgage. This was a time wasting exercise after being offered a mortgage that frankly would have been fraudulent. We then found ourselves a Professional Commercial Mortgage Broker who could assist and proceeded with searches and the sale was progressing only to find the property has been put back on the open market.
Not sure the vendors know how much time and money we have wasted all to no avail.
This is the second aborted sale we have suffered at the hands of Bradley's Estate Agents

shocking company to deal with. just sold my plot privately as the buyers could never get hold of bradleys. On informing bradleys they were here in a shot to sign the selling rights agreement. I agreed the £3000 fee. however since signing I never heard from them again. no advertising, no photos, no measurements. It was down to myself and the buyers to liaise with solicitors.

Who's interests are Bradleys Estate Agents (Hayle) serving?
We recently viewed four properties in Cornwall and it was unfortunate that the one of most interest was with Bradleys Estate Agents, Hayle. At the time of viewing the property we made our interest known to the Agent. As the property was classified as Mundic we requested the Mundic report (which the Agent said would be available soon) before making our offer. The following day, as we had heard nothing we chased Bradleys up confirming that on reciept we would make our offer. At 16:39 we recieved an email with the Mundic report and were also advising that 'an offer' had been made on the property. After reading the report at 10:00am the following day we phoned to make our offer only to be told that the offer made the previous day had been accepted.
We had also been informed by Bradley Estate Agents that the property was Mundic C (Under going some form of decay)! The Mundic report states that the property is Mundic A with two of the samples taken unclassified). They certaintly havent done the seller any favours here!
Having spoken to three different owners of a row of identical neighbouring properties over the weekend and two made us aware their properties (built at the same time) were Mundic free and a further property had been burnt down and then rebuilt but the old deeds were Mundic free!
After reading my experience on another review website the Manager phoned and retracted the statement made by his colleague that an offer had been accepted on the property. With a flurry of phone calls over an hour, our first above asking price offer was rejected on the grounds the competing offer was a shorter chain. We increased our offer but were told within minutes that the seller still wanted to stay with the competing offer.
Why classify the property as Mundic C when Bradleys Estate Agents didnt even have in their possesion the Mundic report that substantiated this?
When all the other Estate Agents on the day of our viewings had followed up with a phone call, why didnt Bradleys?
If the mundic report was available prior to our chasing, why wasnt it forwarded as promised?
Between the window of 16:39 pm and 10:00 am the following day why hadn't they contacted us knowing we were going to make an offer? (An offer above the asking price)
I am not sure who's best interests they are serving as it doesnt appear to be the either buyer or the seller!
I feel honour bound now to go to The Land Registry and contact the owner directly to ensure his or her best interests have been served.
I have let out several houses and flats with Bradleys and the help I have had from the back office in Exmouth has been superb. Very professional and friendly service who always go the extra mile to sort problems out.
We bought a house through Bradley's Callington. They provided a first class service - could not have done more to ensure the deal did not fall through. Recommended.
Very odd experience trying to engage Bradley's. Firstly try to arrange a valuation on my property, spoke to member of team, no one called me back. Make an online enquiry for a flat for sale in Saltash, no reply. Called their office in relation to enquiry for a flat for sale in Saltash, spoke with member of staff, then no reply. How do they do business?
