Avoid this company like the plague

Avoid this company like the plague. The sizing was incorrect: I measured myself 4 times, including having someone else complete it to ensure accurate sizing. Upon returning the product for a store credit after having it on for all of 3 minutes to check sizing, they have stated that the product is frayed. It was not, and any damage sustained was likely from the team as I had raised a complaint about their electronic communications previously. I am beyond livid and will proceed with contacting Consumer Guarantees in New Zealand. On top of that, the Bauerfeind website is a NZ one, but everything ships out of Australia, hence my review on here. The company is misleading; the returns process is laborious, and the communication is poor.

Avoid buying as refused refund for frays supposedly found on trying

Avoid this company. I ordered ankle support. It arrived in NZ as it is ship from Australia. I tried it on for sizing and also suitability for hiking. Returned it as find it not suitable for hiking (their website says for hiking). Company replied no refund as found presence of frayed fabric. I only tried the product on for sizing. For price of the product if there were frays from me trying it on (and not used at all), product not fit for purpose. You need a microscope to check product when it arrives for frays. Do not trust their return assessments.

Buyer BEWARE

Buyer BEWARE, I ordered a pair of compression leggings using their online sizing tool which were too small when they arrived. I requested for an exchange for a larger size or refund which they refused to complete, and their customer service is non-existent. Get this... "THEIR POSITION IS THAT ALTHOUGH THEY DO NOT NOTIFY PURCHASERS THAT THEY DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS OR REFUNDS PRIOR TO MAKING YOUR PURCHASE IT IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM" To be clear their online sizing tool does not work as intended and their business practices are questionable at best. Next steps consumer affairs Victoria or VCAT for resolution

Worthless Customer Service

This place is a joke, left hand wasn't ever taught how to talk to the right hand. Called on Friday and was told it was back ordered with no notice but sill available for sale on there website as in stock. After my call ended I looked at site again no longer in stock. The person told me they had more coming in Monday and I would see It Tuesday, I called in Tuesday and was told they where closed for presidents day, and was shipping out today she promised. So now I call in told it was back ordered once again. I am pretty sure this company has no clue what they are doing and I can see a employment line in there future.

Please do not buy any products from…

Please avoid buying any products from BAUERFEIND. I purchased two knitted knee braces, and both lost their shape within two years — completely overpriced for something that wears out so quickly. I assumed it was a one‑off issue, so I recently bought a wrist support. It has been only nine weeks, and the knitted cover already has fluff on it, despite me washing it exactly as instructed.

The company doesn’t seem to care about its brand reputation. They keep repeating that items are “out of warranty” or asking for more photos because they “can’t see any damage.” The issue isn’t damage — it’s the fact that these products are expensive and should last far longer. If the wrist support is already showing wear after eight weeks, there’s no chance it will last a year.

Can't return goods.

Can't return goods I threw out their packaging and return label. I had measured as instructed twice but shoulder brace was too tight. I went through online portal as instructed to return goods. No return address, label or instructions to return goods provided. Just post office addresses. Rang them several times and chatcrap. They said they would email me a label to print out. They didn't. Just templated email. No address, instructions, or label. Packaging return label could not be deciphered when removed from garbage.

They also corrected my order number.

They rang me back to insist I go through the Portal routine again though they acknowledged they had received my earlier lodgement via this portal.

I attempted to do so but got an error message. I told them this and they didn't believe me. I tried my emailed order number and the one that they provided without success. Obviously blocked on their system. I took a screenshot. I will take a screenshot of goods as well.

NEVER deal with this company. I acted in good faith but from above comments and my experience they make it impossible to return goods or get a refund. It seems that their sizing may not be a good guide either. For the cost of the goods this behaviour is inexcusable. I would not have bought the goods except that they promised exchange for incorrect fit. I've bought Donjoy and Mueller knee braces without sizing issues. I've also bought Donjoy back braces without sizing issues but had no trouble exchanging one for a larger size. The goods appear sturdy but are of no use of the size is wrong. The passive aggressive customer service operators could not be more unhelpful, but go through ridiculous suggestions like treating you like an id*ot and wanting you to do the portal again though they already have your portal application.

SINCE THEN THEY HAVE REMOVED MY ORDER NUMBER FROM THEIR AU PORTAL AND CLAIM TO HAVE NO RECORD OF THE PURCHASE.

DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR CLAIMS ON SIZING AND 30 DAY REFUNDS. IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO RETURN AN ITEM FOR EXCHANGE OR REFUND IF IT DOESN'T FIT.

It is obvious from dealing with them they have little intention to honour their return claims.

Fair Trading complaint is next. Please if you have had similar issues do likewise.

They offer 30 day warranty but if the Velcros touches the fabric, it frays. They won't then honour the warranty. They should have a warning about that on the product before using. You need to be so careful when taking off for that reason.

Warning to other customers

I placed an order on June 22 on the Canadian website and paid extra for express delivery. As of today, I have not received the item, no tracking number, and no response from the manager or the company despite multiple follow-ups.

At this point, I believe I’ve been scammed and will be contacting my credit card company to dispute the charge.

This is completely unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. I strongly advise others to think twice before ordering from this business.

BEST knee brace ever and I had Many braces in the past! I bought this brace thru Amazon due to Return policy.I did not like company policy so went to Amazon.
DO your measurements FIRST;if they are correct you have great NON sliding brace.
ALL knee braces always slided;this one stays perfectly!

Extremely poor service department.
I tried numerous times to exchange an elbow support because even though i used the protocol for measuring my arm the size i ordered was too small. I filled in the return form on the website to effect an exchange but after doing all that i needed to do the "submit return " button did ot work. Several text messages to the company did not help. in fact I think their answers were AI generated. I informed them of my dissafaction I did not receive a reply then or now.
Not a word. In disgust I have given up to spare any further frustration on my part.
If you are happy to risk a non return or non existent service then go ahead and place your order.

Steunkous VenoTrain Delight valt tegen

Deze steunkous VenoTrain Delight zou vergelijkbaar met Lastofa Forte. Het blijkt echter zodanig te rekken dat maatvoering onnodig lijkt en het lastig op juiste manier aan te trekken is. Het voelt broeierig. Heb het nu een paar maanden geprobeerd.

Worst customer support if all times

Horrible experience. Never got my product, it was in back order and they never gave me an option to cancel it. After 2 months trying to cancel, with no success and very poor support from their end, I've filed a FTC report and started a dispute with the credit card company.
Stay away from them

Absolutely terrible company

Absolutely terrible company, very misleading and faulty product. I purchased one of their hinged knee braces. Tried on for less than 5 minutes, it did not fit correctly. I boxed it back off to return. I received an email to say that I would not be eligible for a refund as on inspection the brace displayed fraying. They are an inferior product and an absolutely terrible company that take your money knowing their product is not up to standards. Don’t waste your time.

Terrible & misleading

Bought a knee support from the Bauerfiend ‘UK’ website. Took ages to arrive from Germany and was significantly smaller than the picture. Returns are a nightmare too as you have to complete a customs declaration even though the company have a uk address. Avoid this company

Worst experience ever

I recently had an unfortunate purchasing experience with Bauerfeind, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. While I had high hopes for their products, the reality fell far short of expectations.

I ordered a large size ankle guard from Bauerfeind, but upon receiving it, I realized it was the wrong size. I promptly returned it, bearing the return shipping costs myself. However, to my dismay, Bauerfeind claimed the item had a stitching issue and refused to refund the full amount. They insisted on a 20% exchange fee, which I found outrageous considering I had only tried the product on once.

After weeks of back-and-forth communication, they reluctantly agreed to reduce the exchange fee to 10%. While this concession was appreciated, it was still an unreasonable demand given the circumstances. I accepted it simply to conclude the ordeal.

It took months before I finally received the 90% refund. This entire experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Bauerfeind's size exchange policy is utterly ridiculous; customers not only have to bear the shipping costs but also risk not receiving a full refund for a product they've barely used.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against purchasing from Bauerfeind. Their unreasonable policies and lackluster customer service make it a gamble not worth taking.

I was still in a moon boot

I was still in a moon boot. Purchased the brace as it claimed it could be worn in shoes. It would not fit in any shoes. I notified them within a couple of hours of australia post scanning it collected that I would be returning it and did so immediately. They are now refusing to refund claiming it has been worn. Even though I also took photos the moment I unpacked it, before even trying it on because it looked to me as if it had been worn.

Do not recommend

Will never shop with this company again. I needed to return a brace that didn't fit. Took them 2 months to process the return and refund my credit card. I sent an email to express my disappointment with this timeline and it took them 24 days to respond. Terrible service.

started to fray after a single bike ride

The knee brace showed signs of wear after a single use. The company attributed this to "customer handling error" and "factors beyond the scope of the product's intended use or design". I would never buy another one. Absolute rip off

Knee brace breaks after 3 months use

Only bought the knee brace 3 months ago and some knits started to break and the brace gradually loses its contraction. I paid a premium price for a so called "quality product" and that's what I got. Went for warranty but the customer service refused it as I removed my tag from the brace so I don't have a tag number. Reported them to NSW fair trade. It's a joke.
