Owner Di treated the whole experience with kindness, friendliness and efficiency for our much loved pet dog Tao. Highly recommend this service and we will use them again when the time comes for our other pet dog.

They arranged pick up and everything.

I was recommended Barnshaw Pet Crematorium by a friend when my beautiful cat India died in her sleep at age 16. I was distraught and contacted Di at Barnshaw.
Di was wonderful, kind and very caring. I left India with her on Saturday morning, Di phoned me on Saturday afternoon to tell me that India had been cremated. The whole experience was as perfect as it could be, including the peaceful location. I collected India the following day. India now resides on a shelf in my music room, where she used to listen to music with me in the evenings. I cannot recommend Di and Barnshaw more highly, the perfect finale to a happy pets life.

I was in the unfortunate circumstance of needing to find a pet cremation service for my beautiful Daisy.
I made a call sobbing all the way through the conversation. Chris was amazing and took his time to listen and empathise.
Just from that conversation, I knew my Daisy would be looked after properly.
Daisy’s last journey was perfect, just as she was.
I do not know how I would have got through that heartbreaking time without Chris and Di.
I honestly cannot thank you both enough.

My husband discovered this company and it turned out just what we needed as we had never experienced this before. A very kind wife and husband greeted us when we arrived. It was all straight forward and quick. Our sweet petite French cat Tess had all the dignity she deserved. Her passing was a shock as it all happened within three hours. Thank-you for the true care you showed her, we will always be so grateful.

Chris & Di were absolutely fantastic. My boy Marley hated the vets so I really didn’t want him going that route. Barnshaw is a beautiful place & they offered a same day service so I had my boy back back home with us the same day. After such awful heart break barnshaw offered exactly what we as a family needed . They were amazing . Thank you soooo much Chris & Di . Blessings to everyone who is going through so much pain . My heart is with you , yours & your fur baby xx

Cannot express the gratitude for the kindness and timelyness of Cris and Di! We unexpectedly lost our cocker spaniel, Mossey and the service we recieved was second to none. I spoke to Di who was most accommodating with all the arrangements. We said our last goodbye in the morning and picked him up in the afternoon. It was just the little things like having a little love heart with his name on. This now hangs proudly on his tree which we planted for him with his ashes.
Thank you so much Di and Chris you made a horrible time more bearable. X

We were very impressed with the kind service we received from Barnshaw. The timing was impeccable giving us just enough space to say our goodbyes. They made the experience of losing our dog so much easier and we are very grateful.

I was really worried about someone coming to collect Prudence after she had been so peacefully helped to her final sleep at home thanks to Oli from Silver Gate vets. My fears vanished when the nicest, kindest lady came to collect her. Di was so lovely, gave us all the time we needed, and I knew Prudence would be in safe and caring hands, from the time she left her home to when we collected her ashes a few days later. A huge thank you to Barnshaw Pet Crematorium for looking after our beloved cat so well, and making that terribly sad time a little easier. xx

We were so grateful to Chris and Di for their help and compassion after we had to have our 7 year old ginger cat, JD, put to sleep. Di was wonderful, picking him up from the vets the same day. Knowing he was being looked after and treated with dignity really helped us. His ashes were brought back to us in a lovely bamboo pouch which we have planted underneath an apricot coloured patio rose called "Fond Memories".

What a beautiful pet crematorium this is and what amazing people are that own it,unfortunately I lost my best friend in the world my little Shih Tzu called Leo who was nearly 15years old and I'd had since 8weeks old,they handled my little dog with such dignity and treated me so kindly through every step of the way that i would recommend that if anyone loses a pet(best friend)like i did then Barnshaw Pet Crematorium really is the place for that last walk over the Rainbow Bridge until you meet again one day,Chris & Di truly are the kindest people I've met and I most definitely wouldn't let anyone else deal with me in the future if i had to go through this again,so thanks again for everything and the love you showed my little boy at his final walk.
I have left a separate review on the Silver gate Vets for Olly but would like to add how wonderful both Olly and Diane at Barnshaw worked together to make sure everything was as easy as possible,what an amazing team they make and work so extremely well together on a day we all dread coming but still they are so caring and what a truly lovely vet Olly is,so thanks Silver Gate Vets and Barnshaw,you both truly deserve lots of credit and the 5stars I've given you.

Chris and Di took such good and compassionate care of Daisy my German Shepherd, aged 13, on Friday 18th March 2022. They made an unbearable situation easier on me and I was able to collect her ashes today (21st) so I have her back with me. I can't recommend them both highly enough for attention to detail, and loved the little wooden heart with her name on attached to the ashes. Thank you so much.

Chris and Diane took care of our dog Elsie on 10th December 2021 and their compassion and kind words helped to make a difficult day more bearable and I could not praise them more for everything they did to ease the pain of her loss.

Pleased to provide a review for this business as Diane handled our loss every sensitively and with evident empathy and care for our beloved Golden Retriever. It was an extremely difficult time and we could not have had a better experience. Diane responded quickly to all communications and everything was well organised in accordance with our wishes.

We cannot thank Diane enough for being so kind and helpful, on what was undoubtedly one of the hardest days of our lives.
We initially filled in a contact form late Saturday night and received an immediate response. We then spoke Sunday morning.
With her advice we contacted a wonderful vet and then we took our beautiful dog Jack to Diane. Jack was back home with us within a couple of days ( but we had a specific urn ordered in, I believe this is faster if you use Diane’s products).
We are in no doubt that our boy was treated with love and care and the empathy and compassion shown to us was so greatly appreciated.

Amazing service, folowing the traumatic death of our beautiful Tylerdog. We were able to bring him to Barnshaw from Essex vet at 10pm, so he did not have to be kept there. Lovely caring people, lots of empathy for our situation, had his ashes the next day. All the little touches made it a beautilful experience. Could not have asked for anything more for our precious Tyler. Highly recomend. Thank you so much Chris and Di x

Could not fault this service. It’s very difficult losing a pet and Chris and Di and Ollie the vet all provided five star service. Our Phil was cremated and the following day we were sent his ashes. Communication was excellent as was the very personal service.

Thank you Di for your care, compassion and empathy at a very distressing time for us. Being able to take that last journey with our beautiful Yekaterina and spending a little time saying goodbye under the large oak tree was precious and a cherished memory at a very sad time. Thank you for how smooth and swift the whole process was which enabled me to collect her and bring her home on the same day. Thank you too for the 'extras' such as a beautifully engraved heart and bow when I collected her ashes - a part I was dreading but you made easier by showing so much care. We are heartbroken but you made that part of our journey easier and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone else in similarly sad circumstances.
