We have been in contract with B&M Waste for several years, and on 3rd April 2025, we signed a new agreement to comply with updated waste legislation. This included a request for updated waste bins and the addition of a food waste bin. However, as of 10th October 2025, these bins had still not been delivered.
Despite numerous emails and phone calls over the past several months—including conversations with Louise and other team members—we were repeatedly told there was a backlog of bins. Our assigned contact, Harry Mahon, has been completely unresponsive since the contract was signed, and we have not been able to speak with him at all.
This lack of communication and failure to deliver the agreed services is unacceptable and has caused significant inconvenience to our operations. We feel we have been misled and ignored throughout this process.
However, I would like to acknowledge the excellent support we received from Josh Waters, who stepped in and resolved the issue within just a few days. His professionalism and responsiveness were a stark contrast to our previous experience, and I would rate his service five stars. Thanks to Josh, we have now signed a new contract and feel reassured moving forward.

Josh Waters explained everything clearly, he was efficient, got us the best price for our needs and the correct size bins for our recycling.

We had a few issues with the B&M food waste collections and Angela helped our school massively. I would highlight her professionalism and dedication till we got everything sorted. I’ll leave the 5 stars for Angela.
On the other hand, I’d give 2 stars to the Food Waste Collection team in Bradford.
Also, to be fair, I’d like to add that the B&M General & Recycling Waste Collection team really deserve 5 stars too! They’re great and we recommend them!

Would highly recommend Josh has been amazing and nothing was to much trouble

We left B&M in December 2024 moving 18 sites to a different company. The back office/Invoicing set up is embarrassing.

It is September 2025 and I am receiving calls regarding outstanding overweight charges from April 2024. How can I have been paying my direct debit monthly, and these charges NOW be found? How can I confirm these were correct?
We left B&M because of the absolute mess the new system caused with not invoicing correctly & it is clear nothing has changed.

I made 3 formal complaints as we were leaving and the person handling one of them was actually the person I was complaining about! The entire situation was brushed under the carpet.

I genuinely wouldn't advise anyone to move to B&M.

Absolutely horrendous customer service and they charge extra weight for collections even though I don't have much rubbish as I have a gym DO NOT get yourself in contract with this company.

Very poor customer service — the case was closed without the issue being resolved.

We have been using B&M Waste for a number of years now and always found them to provide a good reliable service. Lisa Riley our account Manager is fabulous great at communicating and happy to discuss and resolve any queries.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend B&M Waste they are great!

Horrible patronising customer service agents.
They expect you to jump through hoops to cancel a contract, I followed all of their instructions to cancel
Written recorded letter of termination sent.
Spoke to a agent that confirmed it was received.
sent various emails without reply or acknowledgement.
Now apparently thats not good enough either.
JOKE avoid this company at all costs.

I truly hope her employers and management her to see this and commend her for her excellence!
It is very difficult in business nowadays to find providers/suppliers whose staff create such confidence and engagement with clients in such a genuine way

The B&M team, led by Sarah, was very instrumental in thinking "outside the box" with creative and alternate ways to take care of our "mountainous" amount of general waste in record time, after our compactor broke down, especially when we are a food factory and subject to numerous food safety inspections. The thought of that rubbish outside our site was unthinkable so B&M made it happen. In fact, we are being audited this week! Thank you Sarah and thank you, B&M, for your professionalism and customer care. I also must thank our company Waste Procurement Team for their contributions during our need for service. Had an issue with collections regarding my DMR not being collected. I emailed Alice See who replied to my email immediately and with the help of Chris resolved my issue. Excellent customer service.

They don’t even know their subsidiaries…

Called them back on the number they called me on. Got a very rude man acting like I was an idiot for asking for ScotWaste (who I was calling back on the number they called me on!!!) yes I do know how to work a phone thanks. The problem is you don’t know your business. Which explains why their subsidiary is so useless and can’t actually collect rubbish I guess! I’m running a business, I don’t have time for this nonsense.

Worst company I have ever dealt with! Avoid

I will be cancelling my services with them ASAP.

Rang 2 weeks ago to change business address, was told it would take 3 days and they asked me to take the bin to my new property myself.

2 weeks later and address still not updated, I have had to take the bin between the 2 new properties to get it emptied.

Customer service terrible.

Really do not want to waste any more time on this company, all I am going to say is their customer service is absolutely horrendous/non existent. Avoid this company & good luck if you have any collection issues to discuss.

Atrocious service, both from B&M themselves (ie customer service and organisation), and from their chosen service partners (the companies that physically empty the bins and collect waste).

They would usually turn up out of contractually agreed hours and then report back that the bins weren't there, so it was always a battle with CS to get anything done about it. Moved to a new address (40 yards away, across the road) and they failed to collect for 4 weeks, despite me giving them 2 weeks advance notice of address change. Since then I have been emailing them daily to try and find a solution, to no avail. I then moved on to trying to cancel the service, which again was like trying to get blood out of a stone. Only when I mentioned reporting them to Trading Standards did somebody reach out - and it was just someone trying to get us to stay with them. Once I made it clear we would be cancelling the service regardless, they fell silent again. Then they have the gall to still invoice us for a full month's service, and now they're not responding to emails requesting a refund for this.

After constant pestering, apparently our cancellation has been processed and they're due to collect the bins tomorrow 5th August (this was supposed to happen on 31st July but nobody turned up, obviously). I highly doubt that anyone will turn up tomorrow. Also, we're still being completely ignored regarding the refund.

Do not use this company. Wish I could post a photo. Overflowing bin stores. Turn up outside agreed access times. Leave. Say it’s not a missed collection. Passed from person to person who fob you off. Leave schools with health and fire risks because they are incompetent. Still charge. No help in resolving the issues. Having to pay extra for an external company to remove waste on the side.

We've been working with B&M Waste for several years now, and what truly sets them apart is the exceptional relationship we have with our account manager, Mike Manser. Mike consistently goes above and beyond to support us. Whenever we've encountered an issue, he and the team have always ensured it's resolved. Sometimes it takes a bit of time, but they always follow through and get it sorted. I would highly recommend B&M Waste, especially Mike, for his dedication and outstanding service.

Avoid this Company. They will tie you up in a contract and then use the contract to add services you don’t want or need. They need to be closed down. I am truly disgusted by this organisation. DO NOT USE THEM

Signed up last November for 2 year contract. B&M to serve notice on current supplier. Didn't serve notice, claimed we should have done it (correspondence and contract says otherwise). Either way, agreed a later start date and before we began I emailed to check we were still on for the new start date. B and M confirmed all was good to do. Start date came and went. No bins on site. Raised an urgent complaint. We're now a week and a day later. I have sent multiple emails and made 7(ish) calls but still nothing. Not a single phone call from them. Don't bother. Used to be a really good reliable company.
