Don’t ask to see the warranty you’re trying to buy…
I spent two full days working with AutoNation Toyota Las Vegas on a 2018 Tesla Model X. We went back and forth on price, trade value, shipping, and a 5-year bumper-to-bumper warranty.
I told the rep I was ready to sign but specifically asked to see the warranty details in writing confirming it was a true 5-year bumper-to-bumper policy before completing the paperwork. Instead of providing that, the salesman replied that the car had been sold.
When I respectfully responded that it wasn’t meant to be, he followed up with: “I am not surprised to see you feel that way! we are all victim of our own actions!”
Whether the car was actually sold or they simply didn’t want to show the warranty details, the handling felt dismissive and unprofessional. Asking to see what you’re paying for before signing should not end the deal or invite a condescending response.
I expect better transparency when spending this kind of time and money.

Don't lose your time with Autonation
I decided to fall for the "We buy your car" and I got an offer which I just didn't want. So far everything good, I tell them thank you very much but I wasn't selling at that price. Then I got an e-mail asking how much I was asking for, which replied with my amount. Next, I got another e-mail saying that wasn't an issue and they wanted to buy my car, and they asked me to go there to confirm the car was the one I offered (I actually introduced the VIN so they new exactly my car). I decided to go, they made the same dumb practices of the cheap dealers, made me wait about 30 minutes to tell me the car was clean and they are willing to pay the amount they offer. So why you made me lose my time when I clearly sais in 3 e-mails I didn't like their offer and I didn't want to lose my time going????? Adain, unrespectable behaviour of a cheap, Lier dealer.

Auto Nation is the worst Dealership
This was an incredibly frustrating experience, I discovered the vehicle was sold with critical maintenance issues like a dry engine and a dirty air filter, only to face a major transmission failure shortly after.
Discovering these problems within just 30 days and being told the warranty just expired, despite the severe mechanical issues, is unacceptable.
The dealership responded by offering a predatory trade-in value which was 5000 less than the purchased price they deflected responsibility after selling a lemon.
Potential buyers should be aware of their business practices.

WORSE EXPERIENCE- Brand new SUV Purchase with tire package
Purchased a brand new SUV with the tire package, to only get push back and wait over 4 hours to get a tire changed or replaced. Twice now they have given me a hard time regarding replacing an unfixable tire when I PAY FOR THE TIRE PACKAGE!!! Do not ever purchase the tire package from this dealership NOR take your car here for service. No drink, food or a ride somewhere option from them. Beyond a disgrace for a dealership!!

Another mistake - it’s Auto Nation
Sales part went good until my sales guy who promised me floor mats left, then left paper mats in my car. I kid you not. Then after trying to figure out when my parts are going to be in because I bought a used Toyota Camry that’s a year old that was missing trim and second key. Nobody knows what’s going on, my sales Guy disappeared. Nobody can do anything without the sales guy.
Now 45 days later, they can’t help me with another temporary registration on my car and are saying it’s Douglas County’s fault. Douglas County says they should be giving me a new temporary tag until I receive my title information. I will never use Auto Nation again!!! I went to Toyota because I had so many problems with Auto nation Subaru. It looks to be an Auto Nation problem not a Subaru or Toyota problem. I will never use these people again. One thing after another, buyer beware, go somewhere where they’re going to treat you like a person and not just a number.

Inappropriate and Deceptive
Autonation Chevrolet Waco TX
2020 Pre Owned Suburban LT
*Within 24 hours*
Our experience was extremely disappointing. We felt rushed throughout the buying process and trusted the dealership to explain everything clearly. We discussed our payment goals with sales, but after signing, we realized an extended warranty increased the terms beyond what we had agreed to.
When we contacted the dealership the very next day to cancel the warranty, the conversation suddenly shifted to concerns about a potential straw purchase. This was never mentioned by the salesperson or finance director before or during the transaction, even though they were aware from the beginning that a family member was financing the vehicle. If there were concerns about how the purchase was being structured (i.e. legal or fraud concerns), those should have been addressed before drafting the contract, having us sign the paperwork, and completing the sale—NOT after taking it home.
The team also knew the buyer was not even listed on the insurance policy at the time of purchase, yet they still prepared the contract, completed the transaction, and handed over the keys. Raising these issues only after we asked to cancel an optional warranty felt inconsistent and unprofessional.
To add to our frustration, the vehicle was not detailed before delivery. Not being properly detailed falls below many customers' expectations. This leaves us feeling like the focus was on closing the sale rather than providing a quality customer experience. We expected transparency, professionalism, and guidance. After considering financing under my information, we were informed by the manager that they would not sell it unless we remove our review. So "We will sell you the car if you remove your truthful review".

CAUTION!!!! AutoNation Honda Lithia Springs, GA
CAUTION!!!!! They scammed my young son and me! If I could’ve given zero stars, I would have! Buying a car from AutoNation Honda in Lithia Springs, GA was the worst experience! This was the first time that I’ve ever bought a used car and being a woman, they knew I was a little naïve and didn’t know much about cars. We bought a used car from them that needed some minor repairs. We paid cash for the car that day and made a second trip, from Alabama, to pick up the vehicle to allow them time to fix the car. They couldn’t even reassemble the front bumper correctly and refused to fix it prior to us driving back home to Alabama. They knew the car was already bought and paid for, so they didn’t care. I argued that we needed to be refunded for having to take the car to repair shop to have the front bumper properly placed. The bumper wasn’t flush and it was prior to their service department repairs. They agreed to send me a check for the cost of the repair. I never received the check.
We also paid $599 for the windows to be tinted. Upon arrival, I questioned why the windows weren’t tinted and they reassured me that it was a very light tint that was hardly noticeable. After we got back home, I had a professional look at the car tint and they confirmed that the windows were not tinted.
We also paid extra to have the car tag sent directly to us via mail. They bragged about the hassle free service that they offer of not having to go to the DMV. A few days before his temporary tag was to expire, we got a letter from the DMV stating that we needed to bring the car to the DMV to have it officially registered.
After waiting forever at the DMV, I was told that I couldn’t receive the car tag because the dealership placed my home address in the city instead of the county. The dealership was told numerous times that we resided in the county and NOT the city. Due to the price difference, they had to mail the check back to the dealership for a correct amount to be issued and mailed again. Therefore, I have to make another trip to the DMV and suffer through their long wait time.
I would avoid doing business with them AT ALL COST! I am contacting their corporate office to make an official complaint!

Sell lemons and break contracts
I purchased a used car from Autonation Toyota in Las Vegas. Our contract stated a five-day return period, no questions asked. The low coolant level alarm came on day one and then it sat in their shop. I had a bad feeling and texted my salesperson, James London, saying that I wanted to return it. He ignored my texts and then when I went into the dealership, they wouldn’t let me return it. I’m still trying to get my money back. Meanwhile, the battery malfunctioned and made the car smell like a rotten egg, the speakers stopped working, and the convertible top broke.

Do not use auto union / auto nation in prishtina airport
Absolutely appalling experience from start to finish. I strongly advise anyone considering this company to stay well away.
We arrived on 7th June, and our booking clearly stated that a representative would be waiting for us at arrivals. After landing late at night with three small children, we waited at the airport until 1:30am — approximately 1.5 hours — with nobody appearing. There was no representative holding our name, no sign, no communication, and no attempt to contact us. Eventually, exhausted and with tired children, we had no choice but to take a taxi to the company’s office ourselves.
Upon arrival, the employee claimed that their representative had been waiting in the car park for 1.5 hours. When I asked how we were supposed to identify him without our name displayed anywhere, he became defensive and even had the audacity to say, “You’re lucky I’m still here waiting for you.” Rather than accepting any responsibility, he insisted that displaying a customer’s name at arrivals is “not common practice” for their company. This is basic customer service that rental companies all over the world manage without issue.
The complete lack of professionalism, accountability and empathy was astonishing, especially considering we were travelling with three young children.
The return process on 14th June was somehow even worse. According to the booking instructions, the vehicle was to be returned to the office. However, when we arrived, the office was closed with nobody present. Once again, the nearby Best Western hotel staff had to assist us, just as they had done during our arrival. They contacted the owner, who instructed me to simply leave the car in the airport car park with the keys inside.
This was completely contrary to the booking instructions and an utterly irresponsible request. I was effectively being asked to abandon a rental vehicle in a public car park and trust that nothing would happen to it. If the vehicle had been damaged, stolen or involved in any issue, I could potentially have been held responsible.
To make matters worse, while we were being helped to the airport by a member of the Best Western staff, the owner contacted the hotel representative to ask whether I had cleaned the car. The sheer audacity of demanding that customers meet every condition of the rental agreement while the company itself fails to honour even the most basic obligations is unbelievable.
This was easily one of the worst car rental experiences I have ever had. The company showed no professionalism, no organisation, no accountability and absolutely no respect for its customers. The only people who provided any assistance throughout this ordeal were the staff at the nearby Best Western hotel, who deserve far more credit than the rental company itself.
If you are travelling to Pristina, book well in advance with a reputable company operating directly from the airport. Avoid this company entirely unless you are prepared for confusion, poor communication, closed offices and a complete disregard for customer service.
Deeply disappointed.!!
Deeply disappointed.!!! With our purchase process at AutoNation BMW Henderson Nevada. Our sales experience made this cash purchase feel like a 'tag team catastrophe'. We were passed between "specialist",sales person, sales manager and finance manager. All full of conflicting information with the design to wear down our resistance.
What should have been a straightforward transaction felt uncomfortable and unfair from the beginning. We left with the strong impression that we were treated differently and felt that our negative interaction was racially motivated. We expected professionalism and basic courtesy, regrettably instead , we left this experience feeling judged and disrespected! Their lack of professionalism and courtesy was unacceptable.
The salesperson, Faranak Fereidoui , danced around like a puppet between the sales manager and the finance manager, going back-and-forth, delivering disinformation that was false and inaccurate. Deliberately created to manipulate and intentionally deceive their required common denominator ( a purchaser ,
a return customer either for purchase or for repairs.)
The finance manager ( Justin Spencer ) was the rudest and the most disrespectful. He was dismissive, and made us wait for hours while proclaiming he was with another customer that was not visible in his office. After hours of waiting, we voiced our discontent strongly. Then we were quickly escorted to his office where we weren't even greeted. There was no welcoming handshake, or even a suggestion to just have a seat. Instead, Justin, continue to look forward at his inanimate object that secures his paycheck, certainly! it could not have been us the customer!!! Finally, he turned to us quickly pushing papers in front of us that he needed signed, still cold and disgruntle, you could have cut the atmosphere with a knife. What on earth had we done to this man? All attempts to lighten the environment failed. He refused to be pleasant at all and moving forward, asking him what we were signing, was met with more disdain and his frank irritability and indifference.
Lastly, we had been presented a worthless interior warranty product, that had been pushed from the sales manager and we were told by the sales person that this was part of the sales price , period !!!!,no room for negotiation.
We now know, we should have removed this worthless interior warranty product that we will never use because we live in California not Nevada.
What had we done to this group of people???? Except present as a black couple with purchasing power. LAST WE CHECKED, MONEY WAS GREEN AND SPENDS ALL OVER THE WORLD.
Do not purchase a vehicle from AutoNation!
My daughter purchased a vehicle from this dealership on 2/28/26. On the exact day the 3-month warranty expired, the vehicle broke down and had to be towed. While mechanical failures can happen with any vehicle, what happened afterward has been far more frustrating than the breakdown itself.
AutoNation chose Assurant as its limited warranty provider, and the claims process has been a complete nightmare. We were told a decision would take 24–48 hours. It has now been 8 business days, and there has been virtually no movement on the claim, no sense of urgency, and no concern for the hardship this delay has caused.
During this time, my daughter has been left without transportation. I asked whether Assurant would reimburse any of the Uber and Lyft expenses she has incurred just to get to and from work. The answer was an immediate and emphatic “No, absolutely not.” Those costs have already exceeded $350 and continue to grow. She is now being forced to miss work and lose income because neither AutoNation nor its warranty provider appears willing to provide timely assistance.
A warranty has little value if customers are left stranded for weeks waiting for answers. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from AutoNation to carefully research the warranty coverage and claims process before signing any paperwork. As long as AutoNation continues to partner with Assurant for its limited warranty coverage, I will take my business elsewhere.
BEWARE!! I WILL NEVER TRUST THEM AGAIN!
Hours, time, and money wasted! I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. BEWARE! Based on my experience, they showed very little regard for my time, money, or commitment as a customer. Don't waste your time with this dealership.
I spent several days negotiating the purchase of a 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali. Before I ever paid for a third-party inspection, I had already informed the dealership that I intended to move forward with the purchase. The only remaining issue was correcting the tax calculation on the paperwork.
Because I was committed to buying the truck, I paid $173 out of my own pocket for a third-party inspection. I also reviewed service records, obtained repair invoices, verified tax information directly with Mississippi authorities, and worked through financing and shipping details.
After the inspection was completed and the truck was returned to the dealership, I waited for the corrected paperwork. Approximately two hours after the truck returned from the inspection that I paid for, I contacted the dealership again regarding the tax correction.
I was then told that another customer was looking at the truck in the showroom and was instructed to go ahead and sign the paperwork as it was, with the understanding that the tax issue would be corrected afterward.
I followed that instruction.
At that point, I believed the deal was done. I had already agreed to purchase the truck, paid for an inspection, completed my due diligence, and signed the paperwork. I went to bed believing I had purchased the truck.
The next morning, I was informed that the vehicle had been sold to the person looking at it in the showroom right after it returned back from the third-party inspection that I paid $173.
What makes this experience so frustrating is that I had already agreed to purchase the truck before paying for the inspection, spent my own money performing due diligence, and was actively attempting to complete the transaction. If another buyer was actively purchasing the vehicle, that should have been clearly communicated before I was instructed to proceed.
I understand that dealerships can sell vehicles to other buyers. What I do not understand is why a customer who had already agreed to purchase the truck, paid for an inspection, and was actively waiting on the dealership to correct the taxes on the paperwork would be encouraged to continue moving forward while another deal was apparently being worked out.
This was one of the most disappointing vehicle-buying experiences I have ever had.
Corrupt, unethical company
Corrupt, unethical company ignored me for a week during my attempts to redeem a certified offer from them. They then fabricated a lie when they said they notified me the offer was "invalid." They further called into question my integrity when they said I tried to redeem an invalid offer. I posted my story on LinkedIn and AutoNation senior leadership started viewing the posts and my profile. No one stepped in to make this right. It shows me how crooked this whole organization is from the top down.
Autonation Chevrolet of North Richland Hills, TX
The company should be -5 starts given what they sell. Bought nearly new , 5K mile car, looked nice but after one wash front bumper got nearly stripped and started showing scratches and worst paint job. Please avoid these scamsters if possible.
I worked for autonation so I had to…
I worked for autonation so I had to process their warranties from veritas/Autonation.
The warranties are not worth the paper is written on. Also they take all coupons out of the employees commission in service.
Everyone that worked for bdc which is their phone support were all fired and they opened one up in Florida which is why if you call service you can't get ahold of anyone.
When I started 2022 the pay was fair but they would group everyone's csi together to punish everyone for 1 bad survey which means they would deduct a negative csi from our checks which could be anywhere from $1,200 to $1,800. Also every 6 months we had an adjustment to our pay plans which led to 20 of my master techs leaving and 8 of the 11 service advisors putting in their 2 weeks notice. We went from six figures to just under $45,000 grouped pay plan.
The general manager Neil maddox likes to lead people but making threats and turning fellow employees against one another. He leads through fear. He used to say if you don't like it there's the door. In the beginning he seems like a decent guy but as soon as corporate moved csi to 103% at our store barely hit 102% and we were still getting threatened to be fired by Neil Maddox.
When all these orders came from corporate remember all the slime comes from up top and it trickles down through management. I don't blame my service director but he was demoted and sent to another store because of bad corporate policy from the Idiots in Fort Lauderdale that are driving away employees and forcing customers to find anther autogroup. I still am in communication with my customers and I've convinced most of them to drive 1 hour out of there way for better service at another dealership and build a relationship with a dealership that doesn't have a 90% turn over rate every year.
Neil would laugh and make fun of employees that would turn in their two weeks notice and would call them out in group meetings.
This is not a place of team building this is a place of low moral, when you do not a goal and get abonus corporate will make sure you never got that goal again. Their target is constantly moving so you never feel like you are valuable and the managers always remind you how replaceable you truly are.

Dishonest Service Department
dropped off my 2023 Expedition on 1/23 for cruise control and battery charging issues. I was told the windshield, installed by another Ford dealer, was non-OEM and causing the problems, which I find hard to believe given my 20 years of experience in the car business. Dealerships almost never use OEM windshields. I believe this was a sales tactic.
Regarding the charging system, I was initially told I needed a new battery to diagnose the issue. After that, they said the alternator was bad (warranty covered), but when I asked for my original battery back, they claimed it was gone, even though it had been there for less than a day, leaving me with the new battery.
Fast forward to yesterday, two months later. I was provided a loaner vehicle since my Expedition was not ready. Due to the delayed pickup, I had to take the loaner to Corpus Christi, where the windshield sustained a small chip. Now that they finally returned my Expedition, they told that i have to pay over 900 dollars for an new windowshield.
I am truley disappointed as i had used this dealership since 2010. I guess i will have to find a dealership that will atleast be straight with me.
I paid 1090.62 for them to throw parts at it trying to fix it,
John Henderson

I am not sure why you want me to contact him; he never took my calls and i have been told tough this just proves to me the dishonest they are.
