set up the st-8800d at the shop today. those presets really save us time on repetitive soldering tasks. handle holder was a total pain to bolt on - way too tight - but it's solid now. simple process overall from the team.
This machine looks great on my workbench but more importantly the heat consistency is spot on. It doesn't dip during long jobs and the materials feel really high quality.
The auto feed system works exactly like they said and saves us so much time. It heats up surprisingly fast and the temperature stays stable during long sessions. feels very solidly built.
We really appreciate the high precision here. The thermal recovery is excellent - ensures perfect joints on every single circuit board. Definitely reliable for our production line.
