Instead of giving a list of the documents needed with your first email, you asked for one thing at a time - which dragged the process out.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry that your claim took longer to settle than you had expected, and I fully appreciate how frustrating the experience must have been.
We take the standard of our claims service very seriously, so I asked our Claims Manager to review your case carefully.
Our records show that, on the same day you reported the loss, we wrote to you setting out the information needed to assess your claim.
Unfortunately, it took approximately three and a half months for us to receive all the required documentation, and some of the information was provided at different times, which meant that reminders had to be sent.
I do appreciate that part of the delay arose because you were waiting for your supplier to provide an estimate. Wherever possible, we are happy to contact a supplier directly to help move matters forward. However, we understand that this particular supplier will only deal directly with its own customers, which meant we were unable to obtain the estimate on your behalf.
We always aim to deal with claims as quickly as possible, but we cannot complete our assessment until all the necessary information has been received. I am, however, pleased to confirm that once we had received everything required, payment was made within 7 days.
I am sorry again that the overall process took longer than anticipated, and I hope this explanation provides some helpful context.

Claim following the theft of my bike
Following the theft of my bike the company responded to my phone calls and emails quickly and efficiently. There was an annoying amount of detail requested, which took a lot of time to collect and scan/email but this is only to be expected in view of the amount of fraud around in the present day. The customer agents were polite and effective, and my claim was settled in full within 4 weeks of the incident.

I am pretty hopeless when it comes to technology and I was struggling to understand uploading information. I have to say Jack was very patient with me and I eventually was able to complete the documents. He even waited while I let the cat out!!
