Unit too heavy

I called to tell them that the portable unit was too heavy I had a hard time breathing when I was carrying it they told me that was the lowest one they had which is a G5 I don't believe that to be true pushing the pulse up doesn't help the problem I need the portable unit so I will have to somehow find a way to get through this

Apria in Littleton

Apria in Littleton, Colorado has made numerous failures in their attempt to deliver an oxygen concentrator that works. First attempt was at 7 PM on New Years Eve (not home), second attempt was at 9:30 PM, third and fourth attempts, no one showed up then I got a call at 11PM saying they wanted to reschedule the delivery that had been scheduled at 4:35 AM! All the concentrators they have delivered have been defective.

My doctor ordered a sleep apnea (CPAP)…

My doctor ordered a sleep apnea (CPAP) machine from here and the equipment works just fine. The problem is getting supplies from Apria. They always tell me my doctor has not sent the required information for insurance. My doctor says they have time and time again. Apria tells me to get everything and bring it to them. What kind of customer service is this?

I have to do their job for them if I want supplies. Apria needs to learn how to make a phone call directly to the doctor to get what they require. Instead, they want your money and expect you to do all the work. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

I’m on Medicare and rent an oxygen…

I’m on Medicare and rent an oxygen concentrator because of a medical condition. I pay a copayment for this every 30day. Because this is not portable, I have to have one delivered wherever I go. This has been covered in the past at 100% because it was part of the rental. When we tried to make arrangements with Apria prior to the date required, we were told to wait till 2wks before that date to make the arrangements. When called they said we had to pay in advance because it isn’t covered by Medicare insurance. It was too late to challenge, so we paid it and now they refuse to give us a pd. Receipt.

CPAP NIGHTMARE- wrong supplies

CPAP NIGHTMARE. After reading these reviews I'm seeing the same thing over and over. This company is HORRENDOUS. Their billing dept customer service is outsourced and each line item reads the same- cpap supplies. Nothing differentiates the equipment billed. Then I call and have been told multiple things about the same charge so it's clear they don't even understand it. THAT ISN'T EVEN THE WORST PART!! THEY SENT THE WRONG MASK. JUST DECIDED ON THEIR OWN. This is probably how their last lawsuit got started. And sadly, they don't really care as I have a call in to the office manager Angel and he hasn't bothered to call back. Either he has so many complaints he can't keep up or he doesn't really give a crap. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND VALLEY SLEEP THERAPY but due to medicare constraints I can't use them any more. Apria doesn't even give the courtesy of letting you in their office- they have a parking spot they come out to you and shove your equipment through the window. Wow. I guess now, I'll just throw the machine out the window where I received it lol

I would leave a 0 star if I could. This is a horrible company with horrible customer service. The company repeatedly sent the wrong supplies for my sleep apnea machine..sending the wrong mask and associated supplies over the years. Also, it's nearly impossible to reach someone in customer service to help without waiting for 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1hr. Fortunately with help of my physician and Mounjaro, I was able to lose 30 pounds and have no need for the sleep apnea machine or supplies now; however, stopping the Apria supply deliveries has been nearly impossible. I returned the last two shipments, but now keep receiving bills for them even though the supplies have returned. Most recently, they have sent me to collection and I feel like I'm being extorted to pay for returned supplies.

Worst customer service I've ever dealt with!

First problem I had, their billing department could not tell me my bill was paid 30 days after I had the canceled check back in my hand with their stamp on the back of it. At this time I gave them a credit card to put on file. They would charge my card weeks before being due for supplies and weeks before billing insurance company for those supplies. At this time I made them remove my charge card from their system and went back to writing a check. If they can't acknowledge the bill being paid, that's their problem, I have the canceled check! The most recent problem was after a second sleep study they lowered the settings on my CPAP but on recording my oxygen levels overnight, I was dropping below 80%. The doctor sent them an order to raise the settings back to what they were and after a month and two phone calls, still has not been done. I now have a CPAP that's useless to me. Shame on you UNMC for referring me to these people.

Horrible

Horrible. Worst service ever. CPAP Mask was leaking, called for supplies reorder, sent me over to foreign country, they knowingly sent the wrong supplies after I waited 3 weeks with a leaking mask, then they sent the wrong supplies again. Now we are going on over a month and still waiting for supplies, all while I am unable to sleep. Then they say they will overnight the correct mask which never happened. I have spent multiple days and countless hours on hold trying to get the correct supplies. I offered to go pick up the supplies but they said it is impossible because they don't know which warehouse they are in. To top if off they bill me and my insurance for the supplies that were wrong. Fraudulent company that does not know what they are doing.

Apria - a sleep apnea nightmare

My husband and the sleep apnea machine never worked. I'm not rehashing the past, only the current problem. Early December, we received a call from a driver from an unspecified company, not Apria, to pick up the machine. He did not have our correct address so we told him to have Apria call us with confirmation. No call back. When we called Apria, later in December, to schedule the pickup, it took 3 calls to successfully get to the correct department, but they could not schedule a pickup, needed GM approval. When they called us back, the GM would not approve a pickup, we are supposed to return machine to the local office, which was in Long Island City, Queens, when we live in Staten Island. Probably an hour away and the toll of the Verranzzo Bridge. I mentioned shipping back, which didn't seem like they had the ability to receive. Still waiting for GM callback. I strongly recommend before anyone enters into an agreement with Apria to be careful. They are not helpful and will shaft you to the bitter end. If the GM does call me back to discuss return, I will happily readdress this review.

I also feel if I could give them a zero I would. Actually a minus zero would be better. All year long they have been turning me into collections for bills for my sleep supplies due to my sleep apnea. I am a State of Ca employee and I am covered 100% through Blue Shield Trio with no out of pocket of any kind for this. I have had to keep calling my medical insurance to clear this up. Each time I was told it was handled. A few days ago collections called me again with a $457 due amount from 2022 and 2023. I never recd anything in the mail about this. Long story short they sent me to collections again for this and didnt even bill Blue Shield Trio or Mercy Medical for their part. No one was aware of these bills and they sent it to collections. Blue Shield is still in the process of resolving this and told them they need to resubmit all bills to them and Mercy Medical and they will review it to see if it is really all legit or not. I cancelled my auto ship with them and want nothing to do with this deceitful and dishonest company...Please avoid Apria at all cost!

This is the single worst customer…

This is the single worst customer experience I've ever had. Getting set up with them was painful but severing the relationship is next to impossible.

My insurance stopped coverage and they began charging me an amount that would allow me to buy FOUR cpap machines outright each year. I tried contacting them to request returning the equipment and the rep I finally reached after 3 auto-hangups was disruptive and argumentative and short from the beginning of the conversation.

This was a stressful enough call without her haranguing me that they would not remove charges and wouldn't allow me to ask simple confirming questions. I eventually gave up and hung up after trying to ask a single question a half dozen times or more.

Maybe she just had a bad day. Either way, her bad day became my bad day and I have nothing but contempt for this place for the whole experience.

OMG! Terrible

OMG!! This is by far, the first large company, I have ever dealt with. I started using the machine in April 2024, and it’s been a nightmare. Everybody cannot be wrong. I do not think the company cares. I believe they are a MEDICARE mandate…. they’re gonna get paid anyway and they simply do not care. This is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with and if you don’t have a degree and able to use apps and figure it out for yourself, do not even think about using this company. They are horrible and every now and then you’ll get someone who say they care, they’re really care about you… They help you & they’ll walk through it. They’ll give you the number and that number does not work you will never find that person again in life.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

My CPAP machine is making a whining noise that doesn't allow me to sleep. Called Apria and talked to the rudest rep in the history of the world. Said my machine was too new to be replaced and offered me either service at a place 50 miles away or a zoom meeting with a tech. When I questioned how I could be coached to fix my own machine I know nothing about she said "no need to be rude with me ma''am" and it escalated from there. I've been dealing with Apria for over 20 years and thank goodness my dealaings with them have been few since EVERY ONE has been problematic in some way.

Billing issues and poor customer service

My husband, with COPD & heart conditions, has been using oxygen since 7/2024. It has been difficult dealing with Apria. You get transferred and have to wait to talk to someone who usually can’t solve the problem.
Friday afternoon, 10/4/2024 I called billing regarding my current bill which says “This is the amount you owe $146.67. Please pay by 10/13/24.” “no Past Due Balance" Joan, in billing in the Oxnard office said I only owed $20.77. She took my credit card information and said there was no outstanding balance left on the account and gave me a confirmation number.
Then she said…."oh an amount of $133.62 was sent for collection in September." I said, the bill I have in front of me includes the $133.62 and says it is due by 10/13/24. She had no explanation about the discrepancy.
I’m very unhappy that my account was sent to a collection agency. It’s my understanding that a client has to be notified before that occurs.
I waited again to talk to a supervisor. Abraham B, who said he was a supervisor went on and on for another hour trying to explain how they could send a bill for an amount due several days hence and still have sent the
account to collection. He said he would pay the $133.62 with my credit
card that he had on file and that by Monday everything would be OK. I said I wanted something in writing and he said he couldn’t do that and he couldn’t notify the Collection agency. I asked for the name of his supervisor and he said he couldn’t give that out.

Worst medical supply company EVER

Worst medical supply company EVER. Ordered nebulizer filters 3+ months ago, today they delivered a whole new nebulizer.

I won't pay but will throw it in the box of erroneous deliveries from them for OVER A DECADE.

Sent the wrong mask

I’ve been wanting to get on CPAP for a while because I’m tired of feeling tired and crappy. Jump through all the hoops and finally got approved for one. Apria calls to discuss and the lady was very nice. She was very informative and talked me through the different kinds of masks. We decided on one that the hose goes over the top of the head and has a swivel because I tend to move a lot when I sleep. When it finally gets here, they sent the wrong mask, so I can’t start until they fix their screwup. I’m starting to understand why they have so many ones star reviews.

1 star, because 0 was not an option

Do not buy from this company. I purchased a travel cpap from them - it was not covered by insurance and I paid out-of-pocket. I also bought an optional item (tube and muffler) that the salesperson said I might need.

It took them 7 days to begin the shipment. When finally received, an exact duplicate of the tube and muffler was already included in the box, but the promised travel pouch was NOT! Now I have 2 mufflers and no travel pouch.

The worst part was the pressure settings. Based on the prescription that I submitted, they were supposed to pre-set the device. They set it at the lowest point of the range (below the default level), so it could not use the "ramp" feature. I tried calling their respiratory technicians to adjust, but they are always at other meetings.

This company hires incompetent and unqualified salespeople to sell medical products to the public. Shameful!

They sell off the shelf products. Don't buy from them. Buy from other, legitimate dealers.

Terrible customer service
I'm going elsewhere but I feel others should know. They are trying to Bill me using insurance I've never had.
Managers hang up on you before resolving anything.
Spoke to a manager named Derrek and he was the worst. I'd give no stars if I could.

Lousy customer service. All they provide is "lip service". Grossly unprofessional.

Ordered supplies on 8/13/24. Called on 8/28/24 as I have not received my order. C/S rep was not at all helpful She kept telling me that The order is in process and offered me a tracking #. I told the lady that it is not my place to have to track the order. She could not even confirm that the order has been shipped. The lady was very hard to understand. When I asked to speak to a manager I was put on hold for over 10 minutes and then the phone line went dead. I tried calling back several times only to receive the same old run a around. When it comes time to replace my equipment I will definately look to switch to another company. Grossly unprofessional.

DON'T!!

DON'T!!! They are the absolute worst in DME and don't care that they are. Took more than a month to send my CPAP machine and of course it was wrong. Tried to get the right face mask starting June 13, 2024 it is now August 27, 2024. They have "escalated" my ticket 2 times and when I spoke with the representative today she said to "Sit tight". Her exact words. No estimated time of arrival. They didn't even have the mask. They will give you the run around, tell you they are "Escalating" your request and then you never hear from them again. I have reported them to my Insurance Company and will be doing the same with the Better Business Bureau and the Inspector General. They are HORRIBLE!
