Déménagement vers l'asie bien déroulé

Je déménage régulièrement pour mon travail, et cette fois-ci, c’était un déménagement de Bruxelles à Tokyo. Nous avions des meubles très lourds et des objets de valeur, et l'équipe a tout pris en charge avec un professionnalisme incroyable. Tout est arrivé à Tokyo en parfait état, et ils ont même pris soin de nous donner des conseils pour l’installation sur place (l'équipe de Tokyo est encore d'un autre niveau, "à la japonaise". Un vrai soulagement de ne pas avoir à me soucier du sujet déménagement pendant que je me concentrais sur mon nouveau poste. Une équipe au top !

Déménager avec une famille nombreuse, c’est tout sauf facile, mais cette équipe a été parfaite. Nous avons déménagé de Genève à Montréal, et je dois dire que j'étais impressionnée par leur professionnalisme. J'avais moyennement confiance pour le très fragiles comme la vaisselle de ma grand-mère, mais tout est arrivé en parfait état. Ils ont même pris le temps de discuter avec nos enfants pour les rassurer. Un grand merci à eux pour avoir rendu ce déménagement bien plus facile !

Déménagement sans encombres

Quand on nous a annonce que j'allais devoir déménager a Londres, je me suis sentie complètement dépassée. Le déménagement s'est passe de maniéré générale sans encombre. Mention spéciale a l’équipe qui a été d'une grande gentillesse tout au long du processus. Je n'aurais pas pu espérer mieux!

DO NOT REPEAT OUR MISTAKE

If you are still considering AMOOV after reading all these negative reviews PLEASE do just these 2 things that we omitted.
1. Before signing, check the contract for legal jurisdiction, preferably your country of origin. I think you’ll find it is missing - which will be a major problem if you need to seek legal recourse for any reason.
2. Do not insure with them - they obviously self insure - and do not respond to claims, let alone reimburse them.
I am writing this review as I am one of their clients that has had a bad experience. I’ve moved internationally a number of times and I know that issues can occur- but you pay AMOOV to mitigate them. However, they neither resolve them nor reimburse you for damages. I don’t dispute that some clients have a good experience - it is what happens when things go wrong that is at stake.
AMOOV turns out to be a small company with somewhere between 20-30 employees, primarily in France and China. They do not have a CEO or a usual corporate structure with executive checks and balances. Their model is a very slick sales presence by their incredibly personable but insincere sales executive and a bogus online presence that belies their actual modus operandi of poorly vetted sub-contractors to do all the work, with a very light touch project oversight. Once they have your goods you are essentially held to ransom.

The short version of our experience; is a residential move from NJ to SW France. The movers in NJ were totally inexperienced and incompetent but with only 4 days to vacate we had to continue with them. They did not have the equipment or crew capable of performing the basics of handling, transporting and subsequently loading the container. They even knocked down the gateposts and scratched the floors of the property we were vacating.
The receiving crew foreman in France showed us a photograph of when they opened the container. Our belongings had literally spilled out onto the unloading dock. The French crew were professional although hampered by an unrealistic deadline set by AMOOV which resulted in much of the unpacking being left for my wife and I to perform. This was despite the contract, and of course the price, being for complete end to end service.
Throughout the project my wife and I had to chase the AMOOV Project Manager(s) at every turn of events. (We had a Project Manager replacement during the move)
The end result, stemming from the NJ experience, was loss and damages with a replacement valuation in the +$40,000 range, as many pieces of furniture were damaged and items or parts missing. Now, a year later, we have had no meaningful response from AMOOV, no visit by an insurance assessor and even the infrequent and cursory ‘we are working on it’ WhatsApp messages have dried up. Although their Sales Executive still makes a pretense of working on our behalf.

In normal circumstances I’d turn this over to my attorney - but given my original two points; no defined legal jurisdiction and no credible insurance company to engage with; that would likely mean good money after bad.

Unethical business practices, dishonest to the nth degree

TLDR: Do Not use this company. Good sales, but a complete, albeit well run, scam. Once they have your belongings, they start adding additional costs, they do not pay clearance and charges at port of arrival. Quote in Euros, but insist on Hong Kong Dollar payments (exchange rate at your costs), do not respect schedule commitments, non-responsive.

I strongly recommend avoiding this "company". As a family we have made more than 9 international moves and this has been, hands down, the worst at every level.

After soliciting multiple quotes for our move from France to Canada, we finally chose to use Amoov. This decision was largely based on what are certainly fake reviews, and remains a regret for us to this day, 7 months after our move.

The sales team is excellent at what they do - which is to bait the trap. Documents appear solid and well written. Unfortunately, this is solely to lure in customers like ourselves.

After committing, we were informed that the Amoov teams would assess the volume and would provide us boxes to prepare the move. We heard nothing further until, after multiple e-mails from myself, Amoov arranged to have "their team" send someone to our home for an estimate. This person, from a small local moving company, did eventually come, and reassured us that our volume was fine and well within the quote. He also confirmed that they had nothing to do with Amoov, other than that Amoov contracted them for the local end of the move within a fixed budget (which explains the volume issues below). This contradicts the narrative provided by Amoov.
On the day of the move, the teams arrived. No Amoov uniforms, no official Amoov documentation - nothing.
On Day 2, the teams announced that we were significantly over the quoted amount, and that they would not take all of our belongings. Calls to Amoov achieved nothing, and in the end we abandoned thousands of euros of belongings. (On arrival, the 40' 60cbm container was at 45cbm, according to the company discharging, so plenty of room available for what was left behind. From discussion with the companies at both ends, it appears that to keep costs low, Amoov minimises estimates and then refuses to pay local companies for additional packing / unpacking services. The result is that the customer is left to deal with unhappy local teams)

From collection, our belongings then spent almost 2 months sitting in storage in France - Amoov added storage fees to our invoices which we were partially able to contest. They also added warehouse loading and unloading charges, which we ended up paying.

Our belongings were finally loaded on a ship, almost 2 months after our packing date. By this time,we had been sleeping on the floor of an unfurnished house for over a month. This engendered additional costs - mattresses for 4, cooking / cleaning supplies etc.

Overall, it took over 3 months for our belongings to arrive in Canada. Amoov sent our belongings from France to North Africa, Back to Holland, then finally across the Atlantic. Our original quote was Door to Door 4-6 weeks.

Our belongings arrived in Canada on Canada Day! What a way to celebrate, right? Wrong. We received an email from Amoov to inform us that they had not paid for the harbour fees, Maersk charges and clearance of our items due to an error on their side. Would we be able to help them out, as they had no means to make payment (just under 3000CAD) quickly, and additional fees were likely to accrue. Amoov would pay us back immediately!

After initial refusal, we eventually did agree. The rationale was simple - charges would accrue, and eventually we would be stuck either with abandoning our belongings, or with a much higher bill. At no point did we believe we would be paid back by Amoov. This, again, is deliberate on Amoov's side. They know they have their customers over a barrel, so they leave you no choice but to "help them out".

As expected, we are now 3 months since making the payment on behalf of Amoov, and no sign of reimbursement. I have so far tried to remain civil, however once again we are receiving no responses from Amoov.

I am certain there will be a response to this post from Amoovcares (at) amoov.com - rather than replying here, I recommend that they check and read their emails, as they have at least half a dozen from me on this, with ample opportunity to address the issues if there was an ounce of good faith across the company.

I will be contacting customer protection agencies in France and Canada, Maersk, local harbour authorities, as well as the press. There are also movers associations (International Association of Movers, for example). To all those in a similar situation as us, I suggest doing the same.

A scam company..stay away

A very unprofessional company. Stay away! I'm still waiting to receive my belongings from France to the USA from 3 months ago. The moving manager and sales rep have both quit the company leaving me without a contact. When finally I get a response from another person, there is no follow through answering my questions on the whereabouts of my belongings. The "customer care" service is non responsive as well. I have no idea when and if I ever will get my things.

This is by far THE WORST experience I ever experienced and I have moved alot.
I wish I had read the reviews before signing.

Never, ever, EVER deal with this company and staay away.

PS: The response "to write the AMOOV cares service" is also a lie to give the impression that they care. 40 years of my art work gone. My entire career erased thanks to AMOOV.

Everything went wrong.

Everything went wrong.
Huge delays due to unprofessional practice (5 months instead that 9 weeks as in the contract) and scamming practice: they left everything on the kerb, didn't pay the third party final company to bring the furniture in my house.
They also asked me to pay north of 1000 EUR to have my shipment delivered, which the marketing side, [name censured], assured me I would not have paid.
In the company, people who go by the names of [names censured] seem to have some power, and use it to deliver the worst possible service imaginable. Other people revolve around them, they are really bad and unprofessional as well.
The existence of this company is proof that the regulations around this sector don't work.

Méthode de voyous!

Nous avons malheureusement utilisé cette compganie pour un déménagement Chicago vers Lyon au mois de mai 2024. C'est la pire expérience de ma vie! Je ne fais plus confiance à cette entreprise qui nous fait vivre un vrai cauchemar. Notre histoire est très similaire à plusieurs clients qui se plaignent ici. Comme décrit plus bas, l'approche commercial est très professionnelle, mais après avoir signé et envoyé des arrhes/accompte, ils ne répondent pas aux emails, attendent la dernière minute pour vos donner votre date de déménagement et surtout demande des documents à faire notarier deux jours avant le déménagement.

Mais ce n'est pas le pire, ils prennent du retard dans la gestion de votre déménagement et vous le font payer avec une facture factice et des prestations que vous n'avez pas eues. Ils vous promettent d'envoyer des photos du chargement dans le container, ce qui n'a jamais été fait, d'autant plus qu'ils prévoient d'installer vos objets les plus précieux dans un "sarcophage" et d'ajouter des options pour eviter l'humidité en mer. Donc concrètement aucune chance de vérifier ce qu'ils disent et facturent. Mais c'est pas fini, quand vous contestez la facture ILS VOUS IGNORENT pendant des semaines en espérant que vous allez payer car vos affaires sont sur le bateau. Si vous payez, l'argent part à Hong Kong donc aucune chance de retour en arrière. Quand finalement ils répondent après au moins 3 semaines, cela devient votre faute car je cite "vous avez demandé un déménagement tardif" et "nous avons dû attendre votre voiture" que j'ai moi même livré à l'entrepôt le jour même du déménagement. Ils changent également les termes de leur propre contrat sans avertissement, ils nous demandaient de payer la facture dans les 5 jours de la réception quand c'est stipulé 10 jours sur le contrat.

J'ai déjà fait un signalement à la Repression des Fraudes ainsi qu'à un médiateur et une association de consommateurs.

Notre container était en France depuis le 1 août et ils ne veulaient pas nous livrer avant que nous payons la facture. Nous avons essayé de trouver un terrain d'entente, nous avons annulé nos projet de vaccance pour être livré. Ils nous ont fait payé leur retard avec une facture de 6000 euros, le jour avant la livraison à 13h. Tout cela en nous menaçant que nous ne serons pas livré si nous ne payons pas avant le lendemain.

Nous avons déménagé le 28 mai, et espérions nos affaires mi-juillet (en moyenne 6-8 semaines porte-à-porte) comme convenu sur le contrat. Nous avons une fille de 2 ans qui est très perturbée de ne pas dormir dans sa chambre et d'avoir ses jouets. Nous vivions dans un appartement presque vide pour lequel nous devons acheté des choses que nous avons déja en théorie. Pour être clair, AMOOV DOES NOT CARE, car le service consommateur est dans tous les emails que nus avons envoyé depuis 2 mois. Nous sommes à plus de 100 emails échangés.

All went well overall. Overall we were really stressed due to the size of our move (2 containers), but except some very minor damages, all went as expected. Arrival one week after original expected time, but there was a customs inspection. I highly recommend overall

Please do not make that mistake…

I have moved multiple times internationally and this move was my worst by far. I wish I looked at those reviews more carefully (5-star reviews are all fake, look at their profile, only 1 review…) and I realize now that I had the same experience as others rating this company 1 star. In short, this is a scam company. Avoid at all cost.

Do NOT consider this as an option...

Don't be lured by the attention you'll receive during the quotation process. That's the hook. You'll be listened to and explained things very professionally. Once you have signed though, it's over. You'll have to deal with a Hong Kong based business, with members of staff in who knows where. They will attempt to charge you extra fees constantly claiming exclusions for all sorts of things. They even tried to make me pay for VAT in a country neither them or I reside! I'll not bore you with details, but just read the other low reviews for some facts. Better don't cross paths with Amoov finance team. Nightmare! I have relocated 7 times to many different countries and this was hands down the worst experience I have ever had. I don't believe for a moment the 5 star reviews in here. You've been warned.

Cauchemar et manque de professionalisme

Le début s'est déroulé normalement. On nous a fait un devis que nous avons accepté. Une compagnie locale est venu chercher nos affaires le 29 avril et nous avons payé un tiers du montant convenu soit 1650 euros. L'entreprise locale nous a dit que des documents et informations manquaient et nous lui avons fourni. Ensuite une personne aux Philippines nous a prévenu que tout allait partir dans quelques jours puis la semaine suivante et encore la semaine suivante et nous sommes maintenant le 19 juin et nos affaires sont semble-il dans un entrepôt à quelques kilomètres de chez nous.le manager qui est aux philippines avait certifié que nos affaires était dan un container le 28 mai et ensuite plus rien... Plus aucun message de ces 2 personnes. Après de multiples emails et coup de téléphone un barbu nous a téléphoné en nous disant qu'un transfert d'argent avait été fait au prestataire et que nos biens seraient envoyé en France. Encore un mensonge le transfert n'a pas eu lieu et nos affaires sont toujours bloqués. AMOOV refuse toute communication. Nous ne savons plus à qui nous adresser. Nous repartons dans un autre pays dans 3 semaines et nous devons racheter vêtements, chaussures... etc. Je ne comprends pas comment AMOOV puisse traiter des clients de cette manière, refuse toute communication et ne puisse pas envoyer 6.6 mètres cubes de biens en France. J'espère que quelqu'un va nous contacter car nous ne savons plus quoi faire.

3 days agoLa devise d'AMOOV est prometteuse "Your peace of mind is AMOOVers only goal".
Elle ne peut cependant pas plus éloignée de la vérité que ça.
Pour l'honnêteté de ce commentaire, nous avons fait appel aux services d'AMOOV pour un déménagement international et nous avons au final était livré de nos affaires. Mais là où réside la raison de la note sévère est dans la manière de la faire.
Ils promettent un déménagement sans souci et voilà les comportements auxquels on a pu faire face avec AMOOV:
- ignorance de nos demandes de renseignements/de nouvelles dans l'avancement
- surfacturation et omission dans l'anticipation des frais engendrés par le déménagement
- lenteur dans l'établissement de facture (mal faite dans un premier temps puis pas de nouvelle facture avant plusieurs mois)
- désorganisation au sein des équipes de l'entreprise et incompétence chronique
- manque de savoir faire dans le déménagement qui mènent à des approximations et à des frais supplémentaires

Au final pour un devis estimé à près de 3000€, nous en avons payé plus de 4200€ et AMOOV nous en a demandé jusqu'à 5700€ si nous n'avions pas contesté les factures émises initialement.
Ne faites pas appel à ce service si vous voulez dormir tranquille et soyez méfiant et très insistant sur vos demandes.
Ils ont finalement cédé à nos revendications mais cela a demandé du temps et beaucoup d'énergie.

Bon courage aux futurs clients d'AMOOV et aux autres, passez votre chemin.

PS: pourquoi vous ne voulez pas que les gens postent des avis sur Google ? Et pourquoi les avis Trustpilot sont si bons ? N'y aurait-il pas de la manipulation d'avis sur ce site qui influencerait la réalité vécue par vos clients ?

Worst Moving company we have ever used! Refuses to answer about or honour our insurance claim.

We previously wrote a review about AMOOV, but it has gotten much worse since then.

Our goods left France at the end of 2022 en route to Canada. We asked for, were quoted for, and paid for our own 20' container from France to Canada through J at AMOOV. Instead, AMOOV decided to consolidate our goods with other people's goods into a 40' container. We were also told we would get tracking information for our goods, which we only received months after our goods had left our place in France, and that is how we found out they had been consolidated into a 40' container. We specifically did not want a consolidated container, as the risk of damage to our goods goes up as they are handled more.

We paid for CBM basic insurance as well as extra insurance for all our expensive items. When we received our items, almost all of our furniture items were damaged, many to the point of being unrepairable or the repair cost being over what the purchase price would be.

The local company that AMOOV used in Canada for delivery was shocked at how poorly packaged our items were and how much damage was caused to our belongings. The local Canadian company, one of the largest Canadian moving companies, has also said they will no longer work with AMOOV because of all the issues we had and the lack of any response from them, even their emails/calls etc were unanswered by AMOOV.

Since then it has been a nightmare, over 1 year since our belongings were delivered, to get any of our insurance money or compensation from AMOOV for not giving us the service that we paid for. We have not been paid a single cent in insurance or compensation from AMOOV, it has been over 1 year since our belongings arrived in Canada and over 1-1/2 years since our belongings left France.

Most emails to AMOOV do not get a single response from the appropriate departments, insurance for example. We have emailed managers who also do not respond to emails either. J, our sales person, only responds promising it will get resolved next week, which over 1 year later is clearly not the case.

AMOOV stated in response to our previous review, dated August 2023, that they would have our insurance finalized by the next week. "As promised, your insurance claim will be finalized by end of the week."
It is now April 2024, and since then AMOOV has mostly been quiet, and has not paid a single cent in insurance or compensation for the damages and the fact we didn't get the service we paid for.

It sounds like AMOOV is a company where if everything goes as planned then its OK, but if anything goes wrong, they refuse to take any responsibility.

Personally, we could not give a more negative review for a company than what we would give AMOOV. If you could give negative scores it would be the max possible.
