To Whom It May Concern at Amazon Ireland,
I am writing this not merely as a disappointed customer, but as an outraged Sole Trader whose business operations and livelihood have been intentionally sabotaged by Amazon’s systemic incompetence, deceptive practices, and the utterly disgraceful misconduct of your management team.
Here are the facts of this logistical and customer service nightmare:
The Deception & Broken Promises: On May 14th, I ordered a 3x3m Pop-Up Gazebo via Amazon.ie, explicitly needed for my pre-booked commercial business markets on May 29th, 30th, and 31st. I purposely buffer my schedules; the delivery was promised for May 26th. When it failed to arrive by 10:00 AM on the 26th, I contacted customer support. An agent named Gokul explicitly and unconditionally guaranteed that my parcel would arrive that very day. It did not.
Conflicting Lies & Gaslighting: Today, the system arbitrarily changed the delivery date to May 29th—the exact day my business operations begin, making it completely useless. When I contacted support again, an agent made a bizarre, conflicting offer: telling me I could keep the product for free and receive a full refund. I rejected this. I do not want handouts; I want the equipment I legally paid for so I can run my business.
The Incompetence of Tracking: Your courier has provided zero updates. When I asked how a global giant like Amazon completely fails to audit its courier partners or track its own shipments, I was met with nothing but robotic, automated, copy-paste evasions.
Manager Narmadha’s Gross Misconduct & Fraudulent Escalation: I demanded to speak with a supervisor, and Manager Narmadha joined the chat. Narmadha completely failed to provide the coordinates of my item. When I demanded a written email confirmation guaranteeing Saturday delivery, Narmadha attempted to trap me by sending a completely different email stating: "The item is expected on Saturday, if not, you can request a replacement." 5. The Cover-Up & Abrupt Chat Closure: When I realized I was being lied to and that the item would clearly not arrive by Saturday, I offered a resolution based on their initial prompt: a €70 gift voucher to mitigate my immediate business losses. They abruptly refused, pushed aggressively for a cancellation, and the moment Narmadha realized they were caught in a web of contradictory lies, Narmadha cowardly and unilaterally shut down the chat session right in my face while I was typing. I never even received the promised confirmation email.
Let me make this unequivocally clear to Amazon Senior Management:
This is not a casual consumer delay; this is Direct Business Disruption (Loss of Earnings). I have taken full screenshots of every single chat session, the broken guarantees, the courier's dead tracking, and Narmadha’s pathetic escape by closing the chat.
I demand:
An immediate, comprehensive investigation into Manager Narmadha’s unprofessional and deceitful behavior.
A definitive, real-time location of my parcel.
A written commitment regarding compensation for the financial damage caused to my Friday-Sunday business operations due to your false representations.
This matter will not be swept under the rug. If this is not resolved immediately by a high-level executive, these chat transcripts, screenshots, and the full story of Amazon Ireland ruining a local sole trader's business week will be escalated to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) and shared across every corporate review platform.

Order Number 171-6023180-7139561. The order placed on Amazon was with company British Outdoor Store and for Golf Range finder with slope. I read reviews which said good things about the item but some said it never came and they got fake details for tracking. I can confirm this is true, and what annoys me most is Amazon are aware of complaints about the seller but have not highlighted this on there website and now im having to wait another 48 hours before they refund, plus probably upto 5 business days to get my money back. Stay away from Amazon with doggy sellers and poor service for customers

I bought a work table from Amazon Ireland last year it’s being stored in my shed I only take it out to do some light gardening work so I took it out last week and opened it in doing so one of the legs broke off now this table wasn’t cheep I think I paid €120 it was used about 5 times , now despite spending €1000s with Amazon there is no or I can’t find a number for them I have looked for hours , the manufacturer states it’s guaranteed for 5 years but I have tried and tried to contact Amazon to no avail
Complete lack of trust: 3 delays, 8 days of waiting, and customer service lies
I am extremely frustrated and deeply disappointed with my recent purchase on Amazon.ie. I bought a gaming chair, and the delivery date has already been rescheduled THREE times. I have been waiting for over 8 days for a physical product that never arrives.
To make matters worse, yesterday (Monday) at 17:18, I contacted customer service and an agent named Ebin explicitly lied to me. He textually guaranteed that the item had already been collected by the carrier and that delivery for today (Tuesday) was 'guaranteed'. Today, I opened the app only to find out it was all a lie: the delivery was pushed to Friday, and the item was never even dispatched.
This long and endless wait completely breaks customer trust and corporate credibility. It plays with the expectations of someone who paid for a product and creates unnecessary anxiety and stress. While the second agent, Dhanya, was honest today and cancelled the order, the fact remains that Amazon allowed an employee to lie just to close a chat. Terrible logistics and deceptive customer support. Do not trust their delivery dates!

Today I was to receive the third piece of a four piece order when I got an email stating there would be a delay so I don't know if the one out for delivery is out for delivery or are they talking about the fourth piece of my order. Believe me I have gotten out for delivery notices before and it's a no show. Amazon.ie is a disaster and I'm done with them I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The corner of the item was placed in without any thought to the security of my purchase or premises.
If you wish to grow you marketplace in ROI I suggest you train your delivery agents better.
They do not replace damaged gifts
the gift I Received was damaged, no option for a replacement which means that I have to wait for a voucher once returned then re order, by which time the item may be no longer available, or cost more.

after your large ftc settlement in the US over deceptive interfaces to enroll users without consent and complicating cancellation. you'd think you'd have made changes but here i am helping my father cancel his amazon for the third time and he's still being charged. i'm reporting this to my local consumer protection agency. i'd encourgage others to check if you've been charged after cancelling, and if you have you should also report this company to the your consumer protection agency. you lost a court case worth over 2 billion and, there is legislation governing these same unlawful actions here in europe. you are making it excessively difficult to cancel. he and i have followed procedure 3 times and you're still charging him. i'll also be contacting his bank and directing them towards your settlement and ongoing poor practices. companies like yours need to be held to highest standard as a dominant market leader. you are failing in your legal responsibilities and your responsibilities to your customers. do better.

Disgusting service from Amazon.ie. I ordered a Bosch power washer on 29 March. I paid but never received item which they stated was undeliverable. It is now 27th of April. I have not received a refund. I phoned, to complain, about 12 days ago. I was assured that the money would manually be credited to my account.This has not happened! Terrible customer service! No accountability whatsoever. The money should have been refunded as soon as item could not be sent. I had to phone and a commitment to refund the money was not upheld.
Ireland gets the short end: higher prices and outdated return process
Amazon.ie is a good idea in principle. Having a dedicated Irish site improves delivery times and makes ordering simpler.
But the reality is hard to ignore: Irish customers are getting a worse experience than other markets.
Pricing is the first issue. The exact same products are often cheaper on Amazon.co.uk, even when they ship to Ireland. There’s no clear explanation—just a noticeable price gap that you only discover after buying.
The bigger problem is returns. In markets like Germany, Italy and the US, Amazon has already moved on—returns can often be done with a QR code or without printing anything at home. You show a code, the carrier scans it, and they handle the label.
In Ireland (and often the UK), Amazon still requires customers to print return labels themselves in many cases. That’s outdated.
And it’s not because Ireland can’t support modern returns. Services working with An Post already allow QR-based returns where the label is printed at the counter. The capability is clearly there.
So the gap isn’t technical—it’s a choice. Amazon has rolled out a better, simpler system elsewhere but hasn’t brought the same standard to Ireland.
Amazon.ie is a step forward, but right now it feels like a reduced version of what customers get in larger markets—both in pricing and basic convenience.

Bought a phone on amazon.ie courier left some cheap parcel outside and marked it as my phone delivered. Amazon customer service is appalling, even threatened account closure!!!! Don't worry I'll be doing that anyway. Do not buy expensive items on it as you risk the courier robbing it. I've heard of this happening quite a lot on Amazon since it has happened to me. BEWARE.
