Very good product

I was asking by my GP if I would like to go on the NHS diabetic pathway to remission program back in November last year.

My first thought was no way could I do 12 weeks of no food. But I decided to give it a go what did I have to lose.

I started at the program at end of January

I am over the moon with how well I have done. I've completed the 12 weeks no food bit with flying colours and lost over 3 stone. I have been taken off my diabetic medication and also my blood pressure medication by my doctors.

I am now on week 17 of 52 I've lost over 4 stone and feel alive for the first time in years.

Wish i'd done this years ago.

If you are reading this think if it right for you. I would say go for it. Take one day at a time. Let as many of your family and friends know what you are going and get them to support you. Drink plenty of water. You can do this. X

I'm currently on the NHS TDR Replacement Plan with Altralife products.
I must point out that of the several flavours, the 12 week plan only allows a choice of 4 in 1.5kg bags per month - noting you have to take 4 shakes a day instead of food, this is incredibly restricting in choice for 4 weeks. Why not 1kg bags and 6 flavours?
Of those flavours, I initially went with Chocolate; Latte (watery coffee flavour - add coffee granules); Chicken and Veg Soups - the latter for something hot at least. Regretful. They are largely inedible. Powdery, flavourless and tricky to mix without an electric blender. Such a faff, I will not use them. Just awful. Needed so many spices adding to make vaguely edible. So now back to the other limited "McDonalds" flavours left. 9 weeks to go. Can't wait for this to end. Lost weight? Some and have been very strict to the plan. long term? No. Craving texture. This plan offers a liquid diet only.

Great products and prompt service. Strawberry and Chocolate shakes are particularly good.

Not too sweet.

I have found the Altralife shakes to be quite paletable. Being a person who doesn't like milk it was a challenge! However, I chose 3 soup shakes, 2 vegetable and 1 chicken, made with hot water. I also chose a latte shake drink which can have extra shots of espresso in the mix and can be heated to make a warm cafe latte or unheated to make a cold one! I am so pleased that Rachel White at Chevin Medical Practice referred me for this weight loss regime!

Very helpful in reducing weight. So good in taste as well. I love them.

The support along with the product was very good, l found the shakes easy to use I rarely had any hunger pangs . The only suggestion I would make is to have a larger selection of soups

From ordering to delivery it is seamless. Although the last delivery was just left outside on the floor not good enough especially as it is a food product.

The product is what it says it is. When using Altralife I felt great! No bloating, no stomach aches, all my abdominal issues disappeared. It really helped me to shape my health. Blood pressure is within its normal range, pulse normalised, glucose levels are nicely maintained. The product is easy to use and very convenient for people who have busy schedules. I prefer soup over the shakes, mainly because I like hot food. When being on TDR I lost 12 kg.
