I have gone through allianz to submit claims. This company has never satisfied any claims I tried to submit even after many submissions of documentation. They are horrible.

Traag en niet coulant
Vreselijk trage verwerking van een schadeclaim. Een geannuleerde riviercruise (door onverwacht laag water) valt volgens de polisvoorwaarden niet onder de dekking. Dus "we vinden het jammer voor u" maar er komt geen cent vergoeding.
Wel jarenlang trouw polis betalen en nog nooit iets gedeclareerd. Prima! Meteen opgezegd en toegevoegd aan ons pakket bij ZLM, want ZLM verdient wél alle sterren!

Purchased tuition insurance from Allianz. I fell ill during the semester I had purchased insurance for and at the suggestion of my doctor decided to withdrawal from one of my classes. Initially I was told by Alliance that they would consider coverage for my partial withdrawal because it was for medical reasons and my doctor filled out all the paperwork, then after I went through the trouble Allianz said the would not even review my claim. Very Disappointing and a waste of time and money.

Bei mir betrifft es eine außerordentliche Kündigung einer Zusatzgarantie eines Elektrogerätes.
Ich bekomme nur unmögliche Antwort E-Mails, absolut unpersönlich und weiterhelfen möchten sie mir auch nicht. In der letzten Mail z. B. folgende Situation: Ich soll meine Bankdaten per E-Mail schicken, zwecks Rückerstattung, was ich datenschutztechnisch nicht möchte. Also bat ich um einen Alternativvorschlag. Ich bekomme nur in einem 1-Zeiler gesagt, dass sie mir leider nicht weiterhelfen können und meine Bankdaten brauchen.
Ich bin heilfroh, dass wir die Versicherung selbst nicht in Anspruch nehmen mussten. Wahrscheinlich wäre ich daran verzweifelt.
Reiseversicherung hat schon zweimal bezahlt. Bin zufrieden.
Wir haben eine Allianz Assistance mit Jahres-Reiseschutz. Leider mussten wir diese schon zweimal in Anspruch nehmen. Einmal aufgrund einer Erkrankung und einmal aufgrund eines Flugausfalls. Beide Male hat die Versicherung unsere Kosten (Storno- bzw. Hotel- und Taxikosten) ersetzt.

If i could give 0 stars i would. Scam company that continuously gives you the run around and straight lies to you over the phone.4 months after my claim and they tell me the same lies everytime i call. For AAA to use this insurance company is disrespectful to their customers. Worst experience ive ever had.

I purchased the insurance in case there was an emergency with my flight such as family emergency or something and I could not make it. And just as I purchased it thinking I was doing something great my cousin, best friend and classmate passed away and it hurt me so bad because I went to see him every day just about while he was back-and-forth hospital to hospital until they put him in rehab facility supposedly for 21 days but he only did two days before his passing. The insurance was to cover a trip that was set for September 14. I purchased my flight around like August 18 along with the insurance. My cousin passed on 30 August. I reached out to the insurance company as well as the airline and the airline gave me a credit and the insurance emailed me back today stating that I was not getting a refund that wasn’t an excuse as to why I couldn’t take my trip. I have never been more insulted before in my life. How could you be so heartless and I uploaded a copy of the obituary with my mother‘s name on there as his mother‘s sister, my name is on there as a special Cousin. My son‘s name is on there as an honorary pallbearer, and you tell me that that is not an excuse I don’t know who raised them, but I suggest you all not waste your money on this crap and just take a chance with the airline. The airline did show some compassion but these SOBS
showed none.

hoe is het mogelijk, dit kan niet waar zijn. Fietsverzekering verlenging naar 2e jaar met 45% verhoogt. Schandaling gewoon. Ga onmiddellijk mijn verzekering opzeggen. Dat dit zo maar kan in Nederland.
Insured with Allianz = no insurance
Their only goal is to get out of the contract somehow and avoid paymens. They kept changing the reason why they don't pay daily, not even properly reading the documents sent to them. They play dumb and don't care about the customer, only until your paymen for cover is done.
Go to another insurance provider, even if more expensive, they will leave you in trouble. My claim was not even big, I wonder what if they get a 100k hospital bill.

I and my wife purchased a Medical Travel Insurance from RBC Travel in November ,2024. We are snowbirds and stay in Florida in the winter. I had a serious medical incident in March April 2025 and I called Allianz Global Assistance.
I want to commend your organization for the outstanding service it provides in the field of travel medical insurance. Based on my interactions, I firmly believe Allianz is one of the best in the industry. From the moment I made my initial call on March 21, 2025, I was met with friendly, professional, and compassionate assistance.
Throughout my ordeal, I had the opportunity to speak with several members of your team, including Kate, Juliana (medical team), Izabele, Sarra (nurse), Amincha (case manager), Prazant Jayarathe, Joddy, and Alex R. Each of them demonstrated warmth and genuine care, making an incredibly difficult time more manageable.
I would recommend your company to everybody who wants to purchase medical travel insurance and feel safe in case of emergency.

Unusual for me to rate 5 stars
Unusual for me to rate 5 stars . Took out event protection insurance for tickets purchased for son’s birthday - who found out a week later he would be working abroad on that date. Allianz were fast and efficient and it was easy to speak to somebody. It was Ticketmaster who were the problem - making me wait weeks to DECIDE if they could give me proof that the tickets weren’t scanned on the night. Which clearly they weren’t . Disgusting. Allianz paid me back every penny and it didn’t even take 3 weeks. Honestly have nothing to complain about, I’m so glad I got this insurance .

Wat een waardeloze tent. Ik was pechhulp verzekerd maar als ik een beroep wil doen op pechhulp krijg ik gewoon niemand aan de telefoon.
Meteen mijn polis opgezegd en weer naar ANWB terug. Duurder maar wel veel beter.

Zeer maar dan ook zeer slecht. Ben nu ruim een half jaar bezig voor een naamswijziging op 2 fietsverzekeringen na talloze telefoontjes en email. Tot nu toe niets. Je geeft alles keurig door, maar dan gebeurt er helemaal niets.

Autista molto disponibile e gentile, ha portato l'auto in deposito (essendo domenica) e lunedi mattina subito alle 8.30 era in officina segnalata. Tutto perfetto, non posso dire nulla davvero. In una situazione scomoda sono stato trattato con i guanti. Grazie davvero.

Auf die Mail kann aber nicht direkt geantwortet (no-reply@) werden-kein persönlicher Kontakt zu bekommen. Es geht um die Reparatur eines elektrischen Gerätes für 95,00 Euro. Habe sicher schon vier Stunden damit verbracht, meinen versicherten Schaden reguliert zu bekommen-gebe jetzt auf und zahle den Schaden selbst. Nie wieder so eine Versicherung!
They don't pay even when they state, themselves, that your claim has been accepted
They decided to pay for my claim last July 2024 but today. October the 25th, I've not got 1$ back. Since then I've called them more than 25 times (international calls paid by me lasting in avarage 40 minutes!). Each time the same story:"we're very sorry, we apoligize, it's incredible". I esclated speaking with senior examiner promising me that the very next day everything would have been solved and I would have received confirmation that I would have been paid. Nothing happened every time. Often I had to start from the beginning because they declared I had not provided my bank account information but after checking.. "we are sorry .... ". I wrote several emails to complain. They never replied. Now I'm appoiting a lawyer. RUN AWAY FROM THEM!!!!! I've the proof about what I'm saying!!!

An increase of 140% for additional medical excess from last year with exactly same medical conditions because travelling to Spain and not Baltics and I am now 75.
We cancelled under 14 day rule and went with Staysure. Shop around.
