I’ve purchased smoked haddock from several online suppliers over the years, but none come close to the consistent excellence of Alfred Enderby. Their 3kg boxes of smoked haddock are outstanding value, containing whole fillets that are beautifully smoked and full of rich flavour — our most recent box contained seven pristine fillets.
Having been a customer for two years, I can say without hesitation that the quality of their fish is unmatched. Service and communication are always professional and friendly, prices are extremely fair for the standard provided, and delivery is prompt and reliable.
Alfred Enderby set the benchmark for traditional fish smoking — I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Lighter smoke and great quality salmon
Had 2 x 200g of the Traditional Hand Sliced Smoked Salmon delivered. The delivery cost £10 which was very well packaged including an ice pack and took two days to arrive.
The salmon was very good quality, I ate it all on its own. Compared to others like Inverawe or Glenarm for example it was more towards a wild salmon in texture (maybe this indicates a healthier fish), but still delicate and it broke up easily in the mouth. The smoke is much lighter and more subtle than the others mentioned, I liked it as it does not cover up the taste of the fish too much and would probably help not dominate the other flavours in a dish. Marco Pierre White said in a video that they use pine to smoke the fish, but I cannot find a source to confirm this.
Overall very happy with the purchase, it is pricey with the postage, but the quality is great. Will buy again someday for sure.

Perfection on a plate
It’s the quality and flavour of the product, as well as the prompt delivery that really does set it above the rest. The haddock is very well filleted, the smokiness is not too strong or too mild- it’s perfection. I have been buying smoke haddock regularly from Alfred Enderby and have never been disappointed.

Fantastic tasting fish
Fantastic tasting fish, we had the smoked salmon and the fish cakes, the salmon was delicious perfectly smoky flavour not over powering, the fish cakes are a perfect size and just rammed full of flavour, ordering was easy and delivery was quick and painless would highly recommend

Great taste, just perfect
Very easy to order and the most wonderful products we tried the haddock and the Salmon fish cakes as well as the sliced salmon they were all delicious, we still have some left in the freezer and I can’t wait for my next meal!!
