Faulty shower and poor refund terms
I purchased a shower from the Air Con Centre. Eight months later, I contacted them as the shower had developed a fault. I was told I could return the shower, and if they confirmed it was faulty they would replace it. I explained the shower was in a tenanted property and that I could not leave the tenants without a shower while I returned the faulty unit, waited for it to be inspected and then waited for a replacement. I therefore needed to purchase and install a replacement immediately. I was told that I could return the shower and get a refund if the unit was found faulty.
I purchased a new shower from the Air Con Centre (not a competitor)), and when I asked how to return the faulty shower, I was advised I could only get a replacement or partial refund. Despite asking them to reconsider, I will only get a partial refund.
Had I been told this when I initially contacted them about the fault, I may have made a different decision.

Svar fra Air Con Centre
Hi Angela,
We're sorry for the frustration this situation has caused, particularly as the shower was installed in a tenanted property and you understandably needed to arrange a replacement without leaving your tenants without a working shower.
We'd just like to clarify that the available resolution options were explained before the faulty shower was returned to us. However, we completely appreciate that this information could have been communicated earlier in your initial conversations with our team, allowing you to make a fully informed decision before purchasing another unit.
We're currently reviewing our processes to ensure customers experiencing an issue with a product after six months receive clearer information about the available options at an earlier stage.
We're sorry that the communication wasn't as clear as it should have been in this instance, and we appreciate you choosing to purchase your replacement shower from us. I truly hope your new shower proves much more reliable.
Best wishes,
Elise
