USAA and the third-party co agero Are criminal jeopardizing the welfare of the members
I am a USAA member that uses this company as a third-party for roadside assistance August 2. I broke down on I 85 north going towards Richmond on my way to Chicago Illinois from North Carolina Greensboro. I have been a valued member of USAA for over 30 years plus. I broke down with my diesel truck that was attached to a trailer at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon. I contacted USAA and roadside assistance 480 at approximately 2:20 to 2:30 PM after I had found out where my truck which needed a special diesel Mechanic could be towed to the closest to me. I was charged $90 for the tow is the overage of mileage and a tow truck was dispensed. I was told by. Agero Who is service provider would be in the contact number in which I kept in contact with them all the way until the moment they showed up for my truck. Outside of being 92° having no water and stuck on the side of the road I was approached by a state police officer was threatened to be arrested for where it was placed. It could not be put off the road and that I was in danger potentially from being hit by other vehicles. The police officer then decided since it could only move like a half a mile to a mile at a time without stalling that he would try to escort me 1 mile up the road to an exit where there is only one gas station right at that exit called Exxon in the middle of the woods and the nearest town is 12 miles away . When we got to the secure location, he then advised that I called the tow truck to let them know exactly that I was 1 mile up so I did he then witnessed and I recorded the phone call to USAA and the roadside assistance company to let them know this agent cancel the tow as soon as the tow truck arrived at the site and was ready to pick up my truck. In contacting them again, they would not revert the cancellation and they had called another tow company and which I’d have to wait another two hours or more. I had already waited almost 3 hours for this tow truck . The tow truck would not have anything to do with it since they were canceled and got up and abandoned me. USAA and the road assistance company was well aware that the mechanic was arranged to see that vehicle prior to 5 o’clock since it was late on Friday , the second that they had called after they illegally canceled it on me and I was unaware and did not approve of. It was three hours only to find out at about 730 or 8 o’clock. They had canceled and we’re not coming out so I stuck on the roadside in the dark in a storm at that time with no way to have food go to the bathroom no Ubers came there nothing there was no towns . Then waited for them to get another service provider to pick up by the time it was almost 11 at night in the woods was a different company that was not associated with my insurance that stored his truck the way and he stopped to help me we had to convince the towing company as well as USAA to pay for an out of network tow A price was then negotiated. I said on that road abandoned by USAA and the roadside assistance company for over 12 hours. I did not make it into colonial Heights out of Richmond and into a hotel until 1 AM in the morning this endeavor started at at least 2 o’clock in the afternoon. I woke up this morning abandoned USAA could not get an immediate adjuster to get me a rental car and when I try to get one on my own for a reimbursement, there was none available until late Sunday night. Had to hitchhike back three hours to North Carolina alone, and abandon all my things in a different state , I have already contacted my attorneys the abandonment of USAA member and keeping them in danger is inappropriate to cancel to when you know that they are there to pick up and hook up my truck and they were aware that I was in constant contact with the provider that they gave me initially was criminal and neglectful by both companies endangering a USAA member as well as abandon them in an area that there were no lights but woods nothing. USAA and.agero Are both aware and I have all the texts and the recordings of calls, but yet they have not reached out to me to clarify anything or find out about my well-being

Agero sent out a tow company prematurely with out the right equipment and a desperate driver who diddnt give a darn never called me never bothered to get keys? Then proceeded to dragged my truck across the parking lot tearing my wheel and tire off to the point were l foun my emergency set of drum break shoes and some broken bolt heads on the ground in the wake of the drag marks behind my truck ? Then ended up Aborting the tow attempt , never have admitting to doing this damage? But not by not TAKEING after condition pictures as Required by Agero sums it up to me ? So l was quite surprised when Agero said their investigation put no resonciblity to JDA towing or them self for their dropping the ball on passing important instructions and sending these morons when l couldn't be there with the keys .and when my repair shop was not open ? Agero has never explained why this happend .They also never provided anything in writing never gave me a chance to appeal there findings .Then when USAA my Insurance company called them asking for the picture evidence that Agero said convinced them that there was no damages done Agero could not produce the pictures ?But now according to Agero it was wear and tear mechanical failure that caused the damage ? Completely disregarding how the brake shoes ended up behind my dragged truck ? None of this would of happened if someone called me to say hey forget the apponitment you made were comming now? Then l could of stopped it .. l hold Agero RESONCIBLE for causing all of this. TAKEING legal action against Agero for neglected .When l told Ageros that it was important to alert the tow company to be careful when handling and loading my truck because a already distressed wheel . Then if not correctly handled with the right equipment it could easily cause more damages ? All of this l guess was forgotten as no one at Agreo has ever explained why they sent out JDA that night ? I'm not a mechanic ,l was all what could happen that did happen by a professional tow company driver with the right equipment after he successfully towed me that night my wheel bearing sized up who diddnt have any problem loading and towing my truck the night. With the wheel bearing being seized ? When I called Agero that same night l was apologized to and the rep. at Agero opened a claim on my behalf for the tow damages .Then told me to get a repair estimate and fill out a damage report? You Notice I said report not claim but after 2 weeks of a so called Agero investigation ( and I note here they get to investigate themself ) ? They come up with "we don't find any evidence of dragging and deny my claim" ?USEING non producible picture ? There was no questioning who did at first did the damages that night it happend ? The only thing I still don't know is why these negligent incompetent company's still work For USAA? My truck was damged to the tune of 3,900 $ and this took weeks to decide this abd of course USAA whent along with the wear and tear theory also So with being stuck with their damages waiting weeks paying 1000 for rental deductible not being able to work as my truck is used for my work.This has cost me thousands and my stress level has never been so high...
The only thing good that's come out of it is l saved 68 dallors a month by dropping USAA insurance company after 11 years and only a fool would ever let these monkey brained touch there vehicle so Don't ever Use AGERO
And USAA customer services is no longer available it and their claims department has become a the office of corporate greed and a lucrative denial bonus program for the adjusters ? Like the rest of corporate America

I had horrible experience waiting for 10 hours on the road and then they damage my tire. I couldn’t fix it.

If I could I'd give (-10). First, they sent the wrong tow truck, second, I tried several times to get an invoice with details about the car to get my reimbursement and they never sent it. I've never seen such a bad company, they don't even have the skills to prepare an invoice.
Bad service. State Farm should drop them

If I could give zero stars I would! Absolutely horrible service the technician damaged my battery during service which resulted in me having to replace my battery and they refuse To reimburse me for the damage. Claiming that the incident didn’t happen. when there was two a witnesses who witnessed the incident, they never even reached out to them for statements. The person responsible for handling the claim was not empathetic at all and insinuated I was lying about the event when I provided more than enough information, including pictures and a receipt for the incident.

AGERO is a real company?¿ where you get ripped off . Lied too, and experience the unbelievable customer service that you didn't think ever existed. How they stay in business? I made a for a roadside service 5/3/24 for a tow . Waited 45min. Then a guy pulls up in a regular car to change my tire. What you might ask. So I placed a second call. The customer service rep. Was so apologetic for what had taken place stating the the 1st customer rep had requested a tow but didn't know why I didn't receive one. So I waited 5-10 min for a text that gives the ETA. Never received it. Called back spoke to rep. 3. Explained my situation. Again rep was apologetic tried to help. However now the rep made me pay for a tow service in order to have one come out. I argued with the rep. Asked her to go over my policy so she can see that I had tow service paid for under my policy. Long story short. 3.5 hrs straight . Car never got towed. Today is Thursday 5/9/24 made 3 to for calls last 4 days for my refund all I get is lies with reference # saying it was refunded . So far 2 different reference # . No refund. To top it all the last call I made today the rep stated that I was not charged due to a cancelation of a tow. Yet my bank statement states different. Chasing for my money. AGERO REAL COMPANY . REAL JOKE . SHOULD NOT BE IN BUISNESS.

I got a flat on the highway and was able to get it off the closest exit. After they dropped my first tow truck service because of my location and it wasn’t even the right location! I had a hard time pinning my location but After two hours of waiting for a tow to come. My tow man came had my car up and ready and had a car seat for my toddler and my tow was approved through my insurance. However because agero didn’t want to pay for my tow man’s extra $50 they told him to drop me off somewhere. And they would find someone closer they didn’t have to pay extra for. I had my toddler with me and I know for a fact there wouldn’t be another tow company to pick up my service due to my location. The lady that was connecting my tow man to my service fought for me and my tow man that was 92 miles out of his way to pick me up. Just drop your customer off the side of the road because you don’t want to pay the extra money my insurance would cover; inconsiderate and rude. Apparently this is common.
Robbery company
First of all, this is totally garbage company and rip off customer like robbery. On April 13, 2024, my MDX 2020 car was suddenly turn off in Manhattan, NY while I was stuck in traffic. I called Acura roadside assistance for jump start and they sent a technician from Agreo roadside assistance who was totally unprofessional. After coming in spot, he demanded extra money for assistance where I have already paid $95.00 advanced through credit card. And he refused to help me if I don't pay him extra. I was frustrated, scared to meet such robbery technician who came in order to rip me off, not help. I paid double for jump starting.
Never touch with Agreo roadside assistance. They will just kill you instead of helping.
AVOID AGERO
On 1/16/24 our Mazda CX-5 would not start at our residence. After trying everything we contacted the closest Mazda dealership and explained what was happening and after implementing their suggestions with no results, it became clear the car would have to be towed to the dealership for troubleshooting and repair. The "MyMazda" app had a roadside assistance function and thinking that there was some special relationship for Mazda owners, I contacted them and they advised they would dispatch a wrecker...but I had to pay $357.20 via credit card first. This seemed very high but about 3 hours later (glad it wasn't an emergency) a wrecker did show up, and the car was towed. As it turned out, rodents had destroyed much of wiring under the hood, and it was suggested that we file an insurance claim for the damage repair. This was done and our insurance adjuster stated that they could reimburse some of the cost of the tow, but they needed a receipt. Several phone calls to Mazda later I found that this had been handled by a company called AGERO. After literally dozens of phone calls, emails and texts, and speaking at length to no less than 6 different "customer care" (what a joke) agents, being promised a receipt within 48 hours - TWICE - this simple request was finally satisfied on 2/5/24...IT TOOK 3 WEEKS just to get a simple receipt! In the course of all this nonsense, I had contacted the actual towing company, and within minutes of my request they sent me THEIR receipt (what they were actually paid by AGERO) for $172.50 -- yep, AGERO had charged me more than DOUBLE of what the actual towing service had cost.
If you are aware of any company that uses AGERO for their so-called "roadside assistance" program, avoid them at all costs! They are nothing but a rip-off business and their laughable customer service is abysmally bad. Just call a local wrecker service and handle it yourself - you'll be better off.

Zero assistance happens with these people. I have USAA and this is the first time I have ever needed a tow and an hour later they cancelled and said I was on my own. But they were nice enough to text me a phone number to call a tow trucking company on my own.

They need an option for 0 stars for this ridiculous company. I have USAA and they contract with these clowns for some reason, so my car is locked, and my key fob stopped working one day (I only had 1 key fob and no sword key) I call for roadside assistance and they send out a guy from Agero and in the process of getting into my car, the genius breaks off a piece of the panel on my door. So now, instead of one problem, I now have 2 problems. Mr. Genius says "oh that's never happened before" He then begs me not to go through the insurance because "it is just a cheap piece of plastic on an expensive car." Of course, I contact USAA and let them know about the situation immediately, so I get an email from this terrible company Agero, asking me to send them pictures from 30 different angles of the damage, an estimate and their form to be filled out, so I get that all done and send it all to them. Then I get an email asking me to fill out the form yet again, so I do and send it back to them. Then one day they call and I miss the call because I work for a living and I cant answer every call and they leave me a voicemail saying "the case will now be closed due to no contact" I call them back with a quickness and let them know that no one is closing anything, that is simply not going to happen! Mr. John is the adjustor, and he never answers his phone or his emails, when I call, I only get a receptionist who knows absolutely nothing. The receptionist will transfer me to 6 different people who never answer their phones and do not answer emails. I know one of the supervisors there, named JACKIE blocked my phone number, very professional JACKIE from Agero! The two times that I have actually been able to get ahold of the genius John, he tells me that he doesn't have any information on my case and so he's unable to do anything with it!!! I said "what more information do you need? I have sent everything at least twice and if you needed more information why didn't you call me or answer me when I emailed you and called you 300 times? I don't understand what is so difficult about this. Do I need to fill anything else out? What more do I need to do." John then proceeds to tell me that he tried to get more information a few weeks ago and I was rude so he gave up, he was done with it! WOW REALLY!? Oh no John, that is NOT the way this is going to go...John also proceeds to tell me that when customers are rude to them over at AGERO, they "stay away from them" I let him know that I am not a customer they are going to "stay away from" and if they can't deal with difficult people, they need to get out of customer service or go live under a rock somewhere, so they don't have to deal with mean ol' customers like me. Mr. John sends emails that sounds like they are written by a 5-year-old, no punctuation, words misspelled, no complete sentences, which is not a big deal I guess, but it's just odd to see an adult speaking like this, it's incredibly unprofessional as well. The last email I get from John said "sent for pay"...got it John, very helpful John, thank you. Please exhaust every other option before calling these people at AGERO! Insurance companies: You should be ashamed of yourselves for working with these scammers!! Do better.

Agero is the company behind Progressive's Road Side Assistance. If you are aware of how bad Progressive is, then you should tie the two in the same boat. Progressive is not BBB accredited for a reason. But AGero, especially their customer service representatives lie and scam users. If you don't believe me, try to contact someone within their executive team. I did, in hopes of getting my discouragement heard, but it was a pointless action. AKA.. the problem with companies that are too big, or hidden from regular customers they cause harm to.
