Predatory lending practices
Predatory lending practices
My experience with 8 Fig suggests potential red flags for borrowers to consider.
They will file a UCC financing statement before you receive all the contracted funding. This gives them a security interest in your business assets.
Broad Contractual Terms: The loan agreement might include clauses that could be interpreted in a way that puts you at a disadvantage if there are payment issues.
In case of disputes , they will contact your payment processors and potentially block your payouts.
Stay away

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way and understand how serious these concerns are. It’s important to us that every seller has a clear understanding of their terms, how security filings work, and what happens in the event of payment issues. Any outreach to processors or adjustments to a plan should always follow our policies and be communicated clearly.
We can’t review account details here, but we’d appreciate the opportunity to look into your experience directly and address the issues you’ve raised. Please reach out to our support team through the official channel so we can go through everything with you and provide clarity. Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Reasonable, short term lending
We needed a loan to help grow our Amazon business in December of 2022.
They were helpful when we experienced a compliance issue at Amazon by reducing the payments and spreading them out for a longer payment term, although you will pay for this with a high rate of interest applied.
They deal in short term lending to cover your inventory purchases that helps bridge the gap between purchase from supplier to revenue from sale on Amazon and will need to connect to a suitable bank account and have access to your Amazon account to view all the reporting.
It's advisable to maintain a regular correspondence with them. To lose correspondence risks their legal department getting in touch to demand the entire amount back, so do be careful.

We appreciate you sharing your experience. Our structure is designed to support inventory cycles, but we understand it may not be the right fit for every business. Communication and clarity around terms, timelines, and account activity are important, and we’re sorry to hear the process didn’t feel fully aligned with your expectations. If you’d like us to review your account details or clarify anything further, our support team is always available to help.

The application process is extremely frustrating my store consistently does $50-$100k per month and I’ve connected my bank and Shopify as requested . Yet it’s beginning to seem like never ending questions from their underwriting team. Some of these folks just seem incompetent! The 1 star reviews here really helped me make the decision to save myself the headache and pull my application !
Thanks
