Over promise, under deliver

One star — based solely on the quality of work and unauthorized credit card charges.

I originally chose this company based on their Trustpilot reviews — which now makes me wonder how reliable those were.
First, the facts:
• 30 days after our agreement ended, after assets were turned over and all communication had ceased, my card was charged $6,530 without consent.
• No new work had been done. No explanation was provided.
• The charge is now in VISA arbitration.

Prior to that, I hired them to build a landing page for a flat $2,500 for one month of work. The experience was difficult:
• Repeated misunderstandings and careless errors
• Junior copywriting that required heavy rework
• The CEO seemed overwhelmed and distracted
• Three-day turnaround for each revision
At 30 days, I ended the agreement. The team was professional in handing over assets — but all of the work was ultimately discarded. I’ve had it redone elsewhere for about 1/3 the cost.

During this process, I had unknowingly entered into a “monthly subscription” via Apple Pay small print — triggering a $4,750 charge, followed by the larger $6,530 charge a month later. I had already stopped payment on the card, but they got through.

I also paid $1,300 for market research that bore little resemblance to my actual customers. They resisted my feedback and a month was wasted. Later, after more analysis and research, I was pitched a $14,000 super complex marketing package I didn’t fully understand or feel that I needed it — such as ghostwriting my reels and ebook (I’m already a published author.)

They require full payment upfront — which thankfully, I declined.

It's not like in the US. When I wasn’t satisfied, it turned into a debate, with justification and always the big promise of the next phase.

I told the CEO that after several months and thousands of dollars, I had nothing to show for our efforts — not a single captured email address, no usable marketing asset. He reminded me of a six-minute meditation video they had delivered. Fair enough. I just rewatched it yesterday: the closed captions are riddled with language errors. It’s unusable.

In hindsight, I am responsible for my decision. Nobody put a gun to my head. The deeper my investment became, the harder it was to exit.

The worst part is that I came to really like the team and trusted them implicitly … until they began charging my card without my consent.

The five-month experience was emotionally and financially devastating to me.

Final takeaway: Partnering with Yang Flow was the single worst business decision I’ve made in eight years of running my company.

This is my honest and transparent account, in hopes it helps others.
