An absolute gamechanger for freelancers building a business
Contra stands out as the only freelancer platform i've personally used that puts the freelancer's best interests in mind. Fiverr, Indeed, and Upwork all take an approach that I describe as a race to the bottom, rewarding contractors who devalue their work with the cheapest imaginable prices and rates (which makes Fiverr's company name so fitting- one point for honesty I guess). Contra on the other hand not only evaluates freelancers using their platform on merit, but they also seem to curate the opportunities that people are allowed to post on their site as well. Very rarely have I seen projects that are asking for the world while offering pennies and the few projects I have seen that have advertised false rates have been promptly removed from the listing. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about the platform. The Team is Grade A, responding usually in minutes to every single request I've had over the last two years of using Contra, and I can personally speak to their character, having directed a production a client testimonial project for them as a contractor they hired. All around, the freelancer platform world is in for a shakeup if they haven't realized it by now, and if you haven't guessed it by now, I think Contra ends up at the top of the heap.
