I am a RealReal seller, not a buyer. RealReal takes a large percentage of each sale, which I accepted. (After all, they are doing the effort to authenticate, ship, and to accept payment.) But, once RealReal has your merchandise to sell, they make their own rules. You can’t talk to anyone over the phone. They will only text with you. You get someone different every time you text, and have to explain your issue from scratch. It’s very difficult to get a straight answer from their representatives. They are skilled in the art of double-talk. Their written policies say one thing, but they will tell you something else. If they can figure a way to delay you receiving your commission, they will. Logical argument is useless. Expect to be showered in platitudes about how much you’re valued. Don’t believe it.
