The T-shirt company asked me for a safeplace for delivery. I gave them my suitable safeplace. DPD have either not taken this information at source or the T-shirt company have ommitted to pass the info they asked for on. The DPD driver has put it in my neighbours letterbox and taken a photo, which is not my letterbox. The neighbour has gone away and I cannot get it. Thanks a lot for getting it so right. Just think - they could have put it through the right letterbox if they had observed the delivery address.
I have now just gone on to the DPD delivery options site and put this neighbour in as a preferred option if I'm not in when a potential parcel is too big to deliver or I'm not in to sign for it. But this was after the driver got the wrong letterbox - or couldnt be bothered to climb our stairs. Altogether this is a disaster that I carefully planned to avoid. Why does this basic stuff go so wrong?

So, although my purchase of some hard to find elsewhere items was somewhat random - replacing some old Victorian cabinet and in-built wardrobe locks due to there being no surviving keys bestowed from previous owners down the generations, it also meant I didn't have to go via the China route with its ridiculous carbon footprint. Also, because overall it was a very positive transaction, it's a name one will remember in the future. Thank you.
