Shady business practices

Very deceptive booking practices. The site looks like it is the actual hotel’s website, once you book, there is no breakdown of the costs and not notice that you are booking from a third party or that the room rate is higher than anywhere else. Shady and shameful. Even on the credit card statement, it appears to be from the booking hotel. Ours was The Black Swan Inn and the line item on hotel bill states HTL*THEBLACKSWANIN , and only upon clicking on the website link on the credit card did we see that this was from bookaroomcom. Of course we could not cancel and rebook the room. They charged us an additional $20 more than what we would have paid from the hotel and other third party sites but at first it appears that it is cheaper. For instance, they said our room was $92. When we booked it, it came to $142 with no way of seeing itemized bill or canceling. Shameful
This hotel was in the Best Western Family and it makes me wonder if they are knowledgeable of this scam happening because if so, they might be able to block them from using their hotels on their platform.

I tried a free trial for a month

I tried a free trial for a month, the online subscription was renewed for a year. There was an update to the software and it stopped working on my fire stick midway through my annual subscription. I reached out to yoga international on their chat because there is no phone to call, and they kept telling me that there’s nothing wrong with the update. That just wasn’t the case for me and I was unable to use the software. They told me I could use it on my phone and that is not why I got the subscription. I had no idea that it was going to auto renew and especially after all the problems that I had. I saw on August 31 that there was a payment pending on my credit card and immediately notified yoga international through their chat. They took a day to respond and when I got the response, they told me they could not remove the $119 annual subscription renewal. There was no renewal notification and considering that it hadn’t even been 24 hours after the renewal date, request refund. terrible customer service.

Yoga International subscriptions renew automatically by design to ensure uninterrupted access to your favorite content. Plan details, billing terms, and renewal dates are shared at sign-up, confirmed via email, and clearly outlined in your account section. We understand it’s easy to miss annual renewals, and for this reason we now also send reminder emails in advance of annual renewals to help avoid surprises.

Over the past year, we’ve made meaningful improvements to both our platform and our support experience based on member feedback—including faster response times, better device compatibility, and clearer communication. Our support team is available Monday through Friday, and our typical response time during business hours is under six hours.

While our refund policy follows standard digital subscription terms, we do review all concerns individually and take special circumstances seriously. We genuinely value the voices of our members—even when they’re letting us know we missed the mark.

I love my 10.8” SUP! It is perfect for ocean yoga. Customer service is excellent and very responsive. Couldn’t be happier with it all!
