Main supplier of fixings …

We've been using Metro Fixings as our primary supplier of fixings and consumables for about a year now. Deliveries are usually made in good time, especially when it's Metro's own delivery drivers. Communication is good and we are informed if something isn't available or if it is on a longer lead time - it can make a big difference.

Absolutely horrendous resolution

To start, I placed the order on 04/03/2021. Now, here on April 14th, I am still trying to get this resolved.

The initial order arrived with a broken cistern lid. The replacement arrived with a broken lid. The next replacement arrived with a broken lid. Regarding the third one, I did receive a call in which I was told the issue would be resolved and the 2 extra cisterns would be collected - they were collected 06/04/2021. A full week after receiving the call, I had not heard anything back so, I called and it sounded like a replacement would be sent. For some reason, it seems very difficult, perhaps impossible, to get the repeatedly broken part to be better packed before despatch.

Well, a short while ago today, my so-called replacement arrived. I opened the box and the box containing the cistern looked terribly familiar. It was one which had been collected the previous week, so, didn't even have a broken lid, let alone one which is undamaged. Incredible how this has been such a mess.

Truly unbelievable. Will a fourth replacement attempt be the needed resolution (fifth received if one includes the initial order)? I'm not feeling optimistic at this point.
