I booked a same-day stay with PremierInn’s ‘Flex’ rate (advertised as ‘free cancellation up to 1 pm on the day of arrival’). However, I booked at 5:00 PM for that same night and later realised I couldn’t cancel. The policy states you must cancel by 1 PM on your arrival date—not the booking time.

Why This Is Misleading:

If you book a same-day stay after 1 PM, you lose the cancellation option immediately.

The policy isn’t intuitive for last-minute bookings, as most people assume the cancellation window starts after booking.

Advice for Others:

Avoid Flex rates for same-day bookings after 1 PM—you’ll pay more for a benefit you can’t use.

Double-check cancellation deadlines tied to your arrival date, not your booking time.

Contact Premier Inn before booking if unsure—their customer service clarified the policy for me, but it was too late.

While Premier Inn technically follows their terms, this policy feels like a loophole for same-day reservations. Be cautious!

Have been fined 12 times and all fines sent in one batch after a month. Did appeal but they asked for proof of self isolation. Did call treir office when my car did broke down and I am self isolating but office was closed. Just wondering how they managed to print fine if office was closed. And it is so unfair to send fines after so long time and in batches not iun first instance.
