Delivery was impressively quick and the packaging was excellent. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. I purchased eight bottles and, while I wasn’t expecting perfect imitations, they all smelled very similar — soapy and lacking any real fragrance depth. I had heard there could be issues with customer service but decided to take the risk. Sadly, I won’t be purchasing again.

It’s deeply disappointing that Lidl has followed the wider retail trend of asking customers to “round up” purchases for charity. I don’t appreciate any store adopting this approach. A more ethical and meaningful alternative would be for companies to reflect charitable giving through their own profits, rather than placing that responsibility onto consumers at the checkout.
Not everyone has the same financial resilience or literacy, and in the context of an ongoing cost-of-living crisis, this technique can create unnecessary guilt or pressure for some people. Charity should never feel like an obligation driven by a payment screen prompt.

Really happy with my experience ordering from The Carp Co. The fish arrived safely, beautifully packed, and in great health. You can tell they truly care about their fish and customers. Thank you for the lovely selection — they’ve brought so much colour and joy to my pond! 🐠💛

Once again, I ordered from The Carp Co’s pond fancy goldfish stock, and I’m really pleased. Live fish always carry some risk during transport, but The Carp Co provide clear guidance to support a smooth and safe integration into their new home — including details about acclimation and quarantine periods.

This time, I requested a mix of Oranda and Ryukin, focusing on strong, healthy fish with good form rather than specific colouration (though I did include a few preferences). From my initial shipment, I sadly lost two of the twelve fish, but after contacting the team, they were incredibly supportive and replaced them without hesitation.

Both Natalie and Beth from the customer team have been meticulously helpful throughout — quick to respond, understanding, and clearly passionate about their fish.

I’ve kept goldfish for years, and I can honestly say the stock I’ve received includes some solid, high-quality gems — fish with real character and promise.

I had a very poor experience with…

I had a very poor experience with Vodafone while travelling in Europe. I was supposed to have access to their 8-day European roaming bundle, but it never activated. I never received confirmation that the add-on had been applied, and it certainly wasn’t operational while I was abroad.

When I contacted Vodafone to query this, instead of taking responsibility, I was told it was essentially “my problem.” That is unacceptable customer service — especially when travelling and relying on a service you’ve paid for.

I was left without proper data access, forced to depend on patchy Wi-Fi, and completely let down by Vodafone’s lack of transparency and accountability. A service provider should confirm when a paid add-on is active and working, not leave the customer stranded and then shift the blame.

Would not recommend Vodafone for travel reliability.

For the price it arrived low quality…

For the price it arrived low quality and was below expectations. One sign came broken to which I've repaired. I suppose I was under the illusion these signs would be of a higher standard, sorry to leave a poor review on this occasion.

Honestly- the communication is…

Honestly- the communication is horrendous- all the services now seem to be outsourced. Moving house and my package has NOT been a breeze with Virgin Media- unorganised, unprofessional and corner cutting company - AVOID.

Little bang for your buck

I visited the Sunnamusk Brighton store on Friday. Although slightly tucked away, the store offered a delightful array of Arabian scents, enough to attract anyone who appreciates a signature fragrance. To start on a positive note, the staff were professional and helpful, and the perfumes on display appeared potent, with claims of up to 72 hours of wear, though I understand that longevity can vary due to several factors.

In short, I decided to purchase the 30ml Emirates oil, which was beautifully packaged and gave the impression of a pleasant and transparent transaction. However, upon using the oil, it fell far short of what was showcased in-store. The scent was much weaker, and both its wear and projection were poor. It was hugely frustrating and disappointing. What is marketed as a luxury brand has really let me down this time. After seeing similar feedback from others, I won’t be returning.

It was an absolute pleasure to visit the New Monks Place development in Lancing this morning. Katie was not only exceptionally informative but also demonstrated a genuine passion for the project as she guided us through the various properties on offer. Her in-depth local knowledge, combined with her insight into future phases of the development, provided a real sense of confidence and trust in the long-term vision of the site.

What stood out most was Katie's professionalism and expertise, which shone through at every stage of the visit. Her ability to answer all of our questions with clarity and precision was impressive, and she showed a real understanding of the unique aspects of each property, tailoring her approach to what would best suit our needs.

There was no hard sell, which was incredibly reassuring. Instead, Katie focused on creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that we felt comfortable throughout the entire process. This personalised approach made it clear that she truly cared about finding the right fit for us, rather than simply pushing a sale.

BuyaGift, what an absolute joke. Avoid like the plague. After purchasing a gift for my mother for a visit to the Royal Pavilion and afternoon tea, I was only sent half of the booking details. When I contacted the Hilton, they were more than happy to accommodate the experience and couldn't have been more helpful.

I made a complaint through their website and received a phone call from a rather patronising and unempathetic customer service representative, likely in training. He attempted to belittle me on the phone, and when I challenged him, he offered me £20 off my next experience—as if I would spend another penny with this organisation.

Shambles.

Great fragrance shop with lots to choose from. The samples are a reasonable and great way to try before you buy, very impressed overall. It would however be nicer to see some clearer idea on what fragrances are inspired by, to help choose.

Why you must try

Timely delivery, well packaged, came with some samples of other fragrances within their range. Although it was autogenereated it was a nice touch to receive an email from the CEO of the company, gave an essence of the company being a family run business.

Each of the fragrances I've purchased are great inspirations of the originals. Usually dupes have higher concentrations of perfume oils within them making their projection and performance more profound.

Exceptionally pleased with the purchase, like many similar companies within this sector. It would be nice to see some inspirations of other more commercial or discontinued fragrances that have held popularity (80/90/00's generation) its nice to be able to buy intimations of luxury fragrances but the market becomes saturated with similar less punchy smells, be more daring:)

Thoroughly recommend, my experience has been nothing but positive and would happily endorse a company such as this one.

Smell great, feel confident, competitive pricing

Asked to leave with a neighbour, even received an efficient text...three attempts later and a fourty minute wait to speak to someone to confirm to leave with a neighbour, ends up in a post office....Still no parcel, happy days!

For unique scents or for inspired scents, prices are reasonable and overall very impressed. The Milton Lloyd range, always gets compliments and lasts a good six hours. I shop here often and will continue doing so, very happy. Great website

Difficult to get hold of, poor communication

Getting hold of this company is incredibly difficult, in total 4 hours was spent trying to get through to someone. Had it not been for the fact 10 months policy had been taken out of my account at once, I wouldn't have bothered. If a company can't set up a direct debit for 10 months and then credit someone's account for the full amount without communicating their mistake, this is pretty poor service. My overall question, is seeing you hadn't taken these payments, my dog was not insured during this time, had I needed to make a claim.

As a company a mistake of this kind should be treated sensitively or on an individual basis. Where I might of been able to shuffle the cost, sums shouldnt be assumed to be taken out at once after the companies mistake, not the consumer.

As a seperate point, I had asked someone contacted me in regards to the hike in premium, a week later I get an email asking me to call (28 in the call line), no surprises here.

I've raised a complaint with ManyPets, overall poor show, they advertise to be unique but far from it. A hugely disappointing experience.

Beautifully designed and packaging was high end with no extortionate price tags, I would shop again and have told others. Continue to be sustainable and if not already it would be good to see more measures to show reduced/offset carbon footprints, planting more trees.
