Avoid RAC like the plague

I have been a member for years and paid each year , never had to use them

I broke down outside my house car would not start . Took ages to get through on phone , called at 11.30 am . Have me a time of approx 6 hours later , I called back several times and eventually they came at 3 pm

The contractor that came was useless . He sadly shouid have retired years ago and in my view far from up to the job
And that’s not me being unkind but he was very old , could hardly walk and recovery I don’t think is the right job for him , al he wanted to do was close down job and go

He told me was the battery so started it up , told me to leave running outside for 45 min which I did
He did not test to see if car drove
Is automatic and when I got in car to drive it wouod not go back into drive

I called them back , they told me second call out is charge for same problem ( despite fact didn’t resolve the first problem )

Eventually they ageeed to come out but not for another 4-5 hours
Then I got message to say wouod be next day

I accept I was at home , but needed my car to work and I pay yearly for a breakdown service that is beyond useless

Because not needed them for so many years I did not realise how bad they were

The contractor when I called him back when I could not drive the car
Told me to call back RAC as it’s another job that one had been closed down

In other words he had been paid and that’s all he was worried about
Despite fact the car would not drive

I got a mobile mechanic who came out
And needed re set that was all
He did it in 10 min

But how would I know that
Where the battery had gone flat the car was in a twist and needed re setting

Avoid RAC like the plague

Much harder to win 20,000 and bit cheeky the way it’s been done

Whilst I have been playing this competition for over a year
Not every week but most weeks I’ve been very disappointed of late to see how the entries have doubled in some

So for winning 20,000 it used to be under 200k entrants maximum
I think the amount was approx 170k

However they recently offered extra 5,000 pounds if you spend over £10.00
But if you look the chances of winning have become much harder as now the entrants are over 300.000 thousand
I believe approx 360,000 people can enter for the same 18pence is the figure

I thought this was very cheeky
As you can win extra 5,000 if you spend over £10.00 but the chances of you winning the competition have become much harder as in numbers that can enter

After reading your reply to my review I feel I must reply as your not being totally transparent and the only reason I used you is I thought you were fair

So that’s right you were charging 18 p to win 20,000 for long time then recently added extra 5,000 of you spend more than 10.00 while I see nothing wrong with that and as long as I’ve been playing it the competition was 18 p for 20,000
And as you rightly say with 169,000 max entries

But now you have changed it and in my view being cheeky and I’m entitled to view my opinion as many people may not look at how many entries there are

You now are doing 25, 000 with extra 5k if you spend over £10.00
But the entries are 359,995
So over double what the previous competition was

I cannot agree you did it for Black Friday as if you go back over when I’ve played this game which is not every week but for a year at least it’s been 18p and 169,000 entries to win 20,000

The extra 5k to win is more recent agreed
But while your trying to make out it’s a better deal for everyone it’s actually not and the entries are over double and I think that’s cheeky

I doubt very much you have been running that competition at a 30% loss for over a year


Of course it’s your business , you need to earn a living but trying to be cheeky in how you do it at a bigger loss to the public as you have made it doubly hard to win by changing it from 169,000 entries to 359,000 I think is cheeky and if I’m honest your site has gone down in my estimation as has your integrity

Sorry but I’m entitled to my view and if that’s your answer to me “go to another site “ for being honest
Then all I can say is

I think to win 20,000 at approx 169,000 entries is a far fairer deal and in my view would be a far more poplar choice to the public than what you have changed it too
Which is only to the big benefits of you and I think you will get far less entrants if people like me look at how many entries there are

I was just being honest as a loyal customer and I’ve not ever played on any other sites to date
I’m sure many people would agree

Just CJ, thought i'd respond to you :) I don't feel it's cheeky. It's clear & transparent.

Our entries aside from competitions over Black Friday have remained consistently the same all year.

We was running aggressive discounts up to 30% off so I had to adjust tickets to account for the same margin at the discounted price. As a business losing 30% would have just made the competition no longer viable.

We occasionally offer the chance to reward higher spending customers whereby if you spend £10 and if you win it adds £5,000 to the prize. Of course we have to account in the ticket numbers if the higher prize goes so numbers will change there as 99% of the time the higher prize does go and with increased risk has to come higher entries.

We don't always run these competitions and when we don't its the exact same entries its always been. 169,995 at 18p for £20,000 for example. I recently knocked 100,000 tickets off our main car instant win. We aim to keep value fair all the time. If you're not happy that's fine we can't please everyone and I appreciate your custom with us.

Hopefully you have better luck in the future. If you don't like the odds on a competition I'd say don't play it. The decision is in your hands :) 99% of competition sites (Larger ones) are running millions of tickets and we are no where near that and don't intend to either.

Need more options for baby meals

I have been buying these meals every 2 weeks for baby 7 months old

Started with the weaning pack of vegetables which is very good

However once you get to the 6 months meals the options are limited and baby’s do get bored of the same thing the whole point is to give variety at this age

I think this is great idea but I think the owners need to bring in more variety

My grandson did not like the moussaka
So that left 4 options that he likes of the meals and as you have to buy 8 packets at a time at £7.50 a time it would be good to have more options and because there are not enough options it’s unlikely we will buy again as to repetitive

There was a green orzo which he loved but that’s not been available for 3 weeks

The sheps pie and the coconut curry are the favs but don’t want to give him that every day so it becomes a problem

I would also like to see more meat dishes like chicken veg or a roast dinner

There are many sauces you can buy but really what use is that for baby’s as you need to then cook pasta or potato with them , so kind of defeats the object . but if your looking for meals for baby’s for busy lives as a family and other children in your family there needs to be more options available of baby meals in my view

The meals are good and tasty and some better than others and agree with other reviews that some are drier than others and you need to add liquid to them especially moussaka but for it to be popular long term I believe more options are needed because I’ve found I have to buy options we don’t really want to build my bundle and have few items in freezer we won’t use again so then it becomes expensive and wasteful

I would have no problem with price if there were more options available although I agree with other customers I would say the price overall is on the higher side .

Today Morgan and Leoh delivered my Persian guest bed and trundle

Today Morgan and Leah delivered my pensham single bed with trundle that comes out from underneath


They were prompt in time
With a text the day before with 3 hour slot and notification on day of arrival time

They were polite and assembled the bed and took all the rubbish and left no mess
They showed me how it works and the bed looks well made and long lasting

It was a bit on pricey side to be honest and that’s only negative I would say but I do accept you get what you pay for but this was slightly more than I would expect to pay

The mattresses look thick however I’m not sure how comfy they are yet and they were also expensive for a mattresses

You can get 5 star review Mattresses on Amazon half the price and in top 10 rated mattresses from review guide on line

However I’ve yet to decide if mattresses are worth it and won’t know that for a while

However the delivery team were 10/10
And I couldn’t fault them at all .

I would say this company make top quality furniture I just need to be sure with mattresses

shocking experience at Aylesbury lookers

brought a used 4 year old range rover in July 2023. was told by the salesman Colin Giddens on day of collection of the vechile that car had a broken consol which shot forward on driving and was a hazard. colin used tape to try stick it but that did not work . Colin said he would get this replaced within 2 weeks of me taking the car so I agreed . i realise now they wanted the car sold that day for end of month sales never mind customer service.
since then i have text Colin called him and emailed him and had no reply except one failed attempt to collect the car for repair which colin let me know 15 minutes before time of collection that this was not now possible

i called the showroom several times and colin himself at least 7 times all logged as well as 2 emails with no response and in the end after nearly 3 months i contacted the executive office of Jaguar land rover.

strangely enough colin replied to all my calls and messages before i purchased the car but after sales have been apauling.

i evetually though the executive office had my car repaired and only by there involvement did this happen. but even then the manager of Aylesbury etc was very unhelpful and they did not even clean my car as a good will gesture for all my wasted time and effort and there very bad communication or even put any fuel in my car.

if anyone is buying a car from them i would note that there after sales customer experience is zero and i would not recommend anyone to go to this garage and i will never buy a car from this garage again

shocking IT systems

I had a gas saftey appointment booked for 22/08/2023
PM
i have an account but it would not let me log in.
I tried to renew password sent 4 requests recieved no link on all 4
sent message to wasap number no response so far in over hour.
went to live chat on line. no reply over an hour
tried calling number twice no reply

all i can say is they may need to update communications, as all looks good on paper but trying to get hold of these people are impossible
if the IT system worked and i could renew password to get on line that would be a good start so i can find out time of ETA

i had to visit my mum in hospital and needed ETA

shocking system and needs serious update so that all this IT actually works

5 star excellent clinic with absolute proffessionalism

I had my upper blepharoplasty with Mr Nick rhodes done in november 2022. (3 months ago) and the result is fantastic. I could not be happier. Mr Rhodes is a very honest and excellent surgeon and from the moment I arrived the whole experiance was pain free.

I was awake with just numbing sedation through the whole procedure and i can honestly say it was totally pain free. The clinic theatre was relaxed and the nurse and Mr rhodes both very calm.

I was not sure what to expect with pain and I can honestly say hand on heart that a filling at the dentist is more uncomfortable for me and that injection.

I traveled from Buckinghamshire because of Mr rhodes fantastic reputation and despite being 3.5 hours there and back door to door it was very much worth it.

The first 24 hours were not painful however the sterri strips did feel a bit uncomfortable from the swelling later the first day not painful just annoying really like you have a plaster on your eyelid that feels heavy .

however after calling the lovely Orla Rhodes the next day she assured me by day 2 this would ease and she was absolutly correct and they stayed on for 7 days and day 2-7 ni felt nothing.

you cannot see my scar its faded into the crease and each week they have got better and better and i would say after 8 weeks i felt nothing at all not even tender tp touch

i had small amount of bruising that went within 7 days.

if anyone is unsure, look no further i can ashore you i am a person that researches very hard before i would ever have this type of thing done and after seeing friends from outside of london all who have been to Mr rhodes or other surgeons at the coppergate clinic then i would say now i know why i choose them as they really are for me the best in the uk at many procedures and there prices are fair unlike some clinics in london.

the staff at the clinic are also nice and Orla Rhodes wife and co director is not only stunning in her looks and personality but also stunning in her after care at the clinic.

i did have dry eyes after surgery and i waited to long before using drops . my advise is if anyone gets this just use drops i found viscotears was by far the best and the dry eyes is apparently common after eye surgery for lots of people but its also just temporary
i used visco tears gel for the first 5-6 weeks but now they are fine and drops
not needed

if you are unsure re this clinic look no further as i promise you they are 5 star excellent in my honest view and i have many people weekly asking me where i had my eyes done and they want to go to Coppergate clinic now.

went to browns in beaconsfield shocking experiance

went to browns in beaconsfield. worst experiance in years. poor staff. no proper management and the food was not edible.
they should not be allowed by head office to be open as they clearly have major issues.

i cannot advise anyone enough to not go there as it is so bad at the moment it needs closing down and senior management at head office to step in

try being honest and with respect on calls

maybe when you cannot make an appointment say that you are prioritising peope with no water and heating rather than assume we are stupid and say that you do not have anyone in the area that day.

thus was after LQ had already booked the call for 08/11/2022 but i was then called by your team and abbruptly told cannot come until 14th and then when LQ called the person tried to not tell the actual truth of what was said on the phone .
please listen to the call if ny doubts as i have the call log and time etc

you are now apparently coming on 08/11 after customer services called you from LQ but i feel the contract you have taken on is clearly beyond your reach or you need more staff etc etc

I have a very negative story sadly of…

I have a very negative story sadly of furnish your home.
i brought a maison white distressed table that looked stunning on the website pictures and perfect for my new dinning room, but sadly when mine arrived In january 2022 it looked nothing like the picture it was almost green in color and resembled a garden table .
what was important is that it was totally different in color to the online pictures.

pre sales the company could not do enough to help me and answer my questions. post sales oh dear! that was a total disaster. could not get hold of the manager after several attempts. when he finally did call me he was so rude i was shocked. as not only was the table different to the picture the couriers who deliver the table completely ruined my new laid carpet. there van was filthy and covered in oil on the bottom and dirty stains from previous deliveries. the couriers dragged my table up the stairs and completely destroyed my carpet with oil stains. they showed no respect at all for my carpet

furnish your home say the courier is not them but use them for all there deliveries however i am not so convinced that they are not a sister company and I am in the process of finding this out. however if they are together or not furnish your home have been rude unhelpful, and since I wanted to send my table back just acted with zero customer service or resoect considering this is not my fault the table delivered was totally differnt to pictures to which i have evidence of and i still several weeks on have not had a answer regarding my carpet and what they are going to pay for it even though two quotes have been sent to them. all pictures of my ruined carpet was sent immediately when the delivery took place.
i did get the money back from my table however they deducted a fee for collecting the table even though it was nothing like the picture and i had to pay twice to have the table assembled and dismantled which was really down to the fact the images on line were very different to the reality of the table

the whole experience has been the worst i have ever had so i can only hope that anyone buying from them does not have a problem with a purchase as if they do good luck !!!.

customer service is in need of expert training and there photographs of my table mason distressed far more honest

Lukas my Hammonds fitter did an excellent job with my sliding doors

I had few issues with Hammonds along the way but I was very impressed with his 5 star fitting which made up for the designers mistakes early on in the process

Lukas was polite and efficient and knew what he was doing

Without drivers like him the company in my view sinks

Hermes gone down hill rapidly

Since our courier lee from Hermes left as Xmas the service has been disgraceful
Parcels left on doorstep in pouring rain
Even though I have a safe place listed.
Parcels 2-5 days late on delivery even though says with courier .
Disgraceful service . The big companies like next and ASOS need to reconsider who they use for delivery as this service just gives them a bad name
