Absolute intentional Fraud

1 star is way too high a rating. In all seriousness, this airline deserves to be brought up on criminal charges for malicious and intentional fraud, deception, using possibly illegal and certainly unethical methods to not deliver what is offered. Without even going into details of ticket I lost for my gf due to their deceptive tactics, I will outline what is now happening to me enroute.

I am stuck in Bogota, where I have witnessed and am experiencing their pre-arranged fraudulent and corrupt behaviour, together with the Columbian Govt, to deceive and delay customers, for the sole purpose of $.

I bought a ticket from SDQ - SJO, changing planes (not changing airline) in BOG. We landed on time, the connection was to be 1hr later. When LEAVING SDQ, they were already saying I would not be able to connect to 2nd flight due to being late! But we weren’t. I was met getting off plane with a new boarding pass for 9hrs later. I pressed, finally got to a supervisor after every place I went tried to refuse me. I watched him pull up the flight’s landing time, after many stories, always changing, about why I was being held up. He spoke in Spanish (after i claimed to not understand) to his colleague a lot, both discussing their hatred of customers, and some of the details around how they go about their fraudulent activities. There is a bogus security setup when you get off the plane, designed to hold up passengers that have that quick connection. They fritter around, stop, etc when told. Then, even if there is still time to make the gate, they very smugly tell you your bag will be on the flight 9hrs later… rather pleased with themselves.

The game… sell tickets they have zero intention of honoring, so as to hold you up in the airport, spending $. They give you a voucher for not enough to buy anything with for food, as their legal “out”. They do not apologise, and to your face just flat refuse to even care, then just walk away. They know they will not be held accountable. Its all a big scam, supported by the Colombian Govt and their airport security.

Not even flown yet and am livid. This is a scammer airline that undercuts major airlines by routing through Bogota Colombia, where many need a transit visa, even to spend 1hr changing planes… but they fail to disclose that and go ahead and ticket you, KNOWING your country of passport requires a visa. So this way at the airport you would lose your ticket. We happened to just research… transit visa needed for the 1hr plane chng. So we called… they have a “special international department” that is actually an American Airlines paid contractor who will re-route you to not have to deal with Colombia…. For of course a very hefty fee. That or ask for a refund, in mach speed spanish, which carries an insane penalty. When I figured it out on the phone, and questioned, I was hung up on. Quite an elaborate extortion scheme for seemingly small $… but do this thousands of times to get people to a very popular destination. It pays them well. By the way, the transit visa… absolute nightmare, designed to cause you to give up, even as a very experienced nomad… once you have tracked down how to even apply, which is like finding a needle in a haystack while blindfolded with heavy gloves on. And its not cheap. Avianca operates from a foundation of corruption and extortion. Pure and simple. And American Airlines is right there with them. Its a $ grab.

You will be abandoned, patronised

As a global nomad, i use sims and eSims as a way of life. I lead adv moto tours all over the world. I know the game. I have used a great many providers. I used and recommended Nomad… until now. Never again. Service and support has vanished. Reasonable and meaningful communication and ability to solve anything is now non-existent. Lives were put at risk, and still the needs of a client are of no consequence. A useless beuroucracy that will leave you totally stranded. Never ever again will I entrust this company or its totally useless team.

I have had to amend my rating now to 1 star. The continued disrespect and unaccountable behaviour by every person who has contacted me… and its a lot… is remarkable.

The developers are cons and I have proof. I just spent a good part of the day playing the game with a scammer who was claiming to want to gift me $ using the Tronlink wallet. I wanted to understand so I can educate others. I know crypto. Long story short, the developers use the "nile test net" (found in settings) to send you tokens like USDT. They actually obtain them through what is called a "faucet"... free, non-real-world value tokens, used for the purposes of creating smart contracts, testing, conducting transactions, all without risking actual cash value assets. The developers (who are pretending to be someone else) tell you that you must purchase TRX (native token) from a link they want to send, in order to activate the wallet. If you try to send the tokens, it is impossible, because then put up a warning dialogue box (remember, its a testing environment) telling you to deposit TRX. The wallet addresses from Main net and Test net are identical. And they of course have access. So.. if you fall for it, they get the $500 or whatever they are trying to convince you to spend, and disappear. The USDT (or whatever else) they seemingly deposi into your wallet, is BS. This can only be done by the developers. Not outsiders. So... Tronlink is a scam project. Pure and simple. I looked at the wallet address' transaction history as well.... almost all INCOMING amounts of TRX from other wallets. Then they swap, and send it back out to another wallet. Oh, and they use Telegram and Signal to communicate, after contacting you on social media like TikTok, etc. But the key here is that Tronlink is not legit.

Very non-accommodating

Lost my phone in a cab in Argentina. ATT refuses to let me talk to support from here, and I am going on to another part of the world. I have to be a prepaid customer so I can get eSims and data packages in other countries, where I spend bulk of my time. So am the non-supported customer. They won't even talk to family working on my behalf to get me rescued. No access to banking or anything because everything is an app and sends codes to phones. ATT doesn't care.

Great app and support

Great app, awesome support. Bought an eSim for latin america when I landed in Argentina, only to discover I forgot to check what countries. Wasn't included. Contacted support, and within minutes I was credited back in points so I could re-purchase a country-specific package.

Doesn't work at all

Doesn't work at all. Dial and it says connecting. Nothing ever happens. Doesn't ring to person being called... landline or mobile. You hear nothing on computer. A green button for "dial" turns red and sayd "hang up". That's their tech, but no dialing is happening. Tried with and without VPN, on Chrome as recommended. Its farce. Super basic looking site that is probably just some amateur scam of some kind.

Support refuses to respond

Am locked out of wallet, being told none of my security phrases, email, etc is valid. Have lodged support ticket multiple times over many months. Nobody has ever responded. Thousands of dollars worth of assets are in that wallet.

Account hacked

I cannot login any longer, with system telling me I have no account. The account is tied to crypto asset wallets, which I am also now locked out of. Big losses at this point. This is an email rarely used and only for one purpose. Passord info stored in multiple VERY safe places, that nobody has access to. I am a widower, don't live with anyone. From my perspective Mailfence is anything but secure, as it appears it has been hacked, me locked out, and anything it was tied to also hacked and stolen. Don't even CONSIDER using this service if you need any level of security whatsoever.

Update… a search of my recovery email address shows NO CONTACT EVER regarding termination, and I dont recall this “fine print excuse”. I have lost thousands. I did send suppt an email, and nothing was done to attempt recovery. Just hung their hat on their fine print excuse. Not a company that gives a damn about their customers.

Centralized "healthcare". Its no good. You are merely $ to them.

Ordered a kit. Activated it, collected sample best I could... no explanation of how much is required. Used up all the lancets trying to get what I could out. Never heard anything, so called. Alleged I had not activated kit, despite on my end showing I had. Got activation handled. Few hours later got "results" that said "could not get results", and urging me to buy another kit. Just another crummy lab only interested in $. My location shows as Aus, but I am a dual citizen, so this experience happened in Arizona.

1st update… reached a cust svc person willing to have discussion. Kit being replaced for free. Website says nothing about no-cost first time (as a new customer) replacement… urges you to buy another. Svc rep says they assume you will call (really, assumptions?) and they have authority to send a new kit. Bummer for me is that I now don’t have a “starting point” prior to a new protocol I began after sending my samples in.

Ive upgraded to 2 stars, due to willingness to work with me. We’ll see how it goes from here. I CAN say that if you coagulate quickly (healthy process), a lancet on end of finger (I used all 5, multiple fingers) will NOT provide enough blood for a sufficient sample. So I will have to really slice myself or tap a vein myself to get it done.

2nd update: Got results this time. I will not be upgrading from the 2-stars however, as this lab is still not what I consider a very good option, and am not sure there is any lab anywhere that gives a rat's a** about its clients. There is allegedly a message from a clinician or something about my results, but they insist I get their app in order to read messages and communicate with them. I have told them verbally on the phone, and in writing, that I CANNOT get the app... my phone and iPhone store are not USA based, so therefore the app is not available to me. I cannot change it as I travel and live abroad for large chunks of time, and USA is an entity unto itself, with the rest of the world on a different page, but all together. Despite my doing all I can to notify them, they insist, like all centralized medicine, on treating my like a meaningless number, not reading or listening to anything I say.

This level of blatant disrespect of me and insistence on forcing everyone into their box, is the reason I will not likely use LetsGetChecked again, and will keep seeking the needle in a haystack... a lab interested in assisting it's clients in enhancing their health.

Not sure if this is a scam or not..

Not sure if this is a scam or not... was able to prevent $ from being withdrawn, but would on recommend risking it. Here is how my experience went yesterday;

As I was entering my information for a ticket purchase, a chat window appeared, stating I could get a cheaper, unpublished fare for my specific trip, with a booking code I was to use to call their office. I called, got run-around, and was being pressured to buy the same trip for nearly $500 MORE than the published fare I was looking at. Obviously did not purchase that one, but rather finished purchasing the fare online.

Once purchased, I got 2 emails confirming the purchase and details of my trip. Shortly after, I got a phone call from a customer svc person asking me to confirm all the trip details for the trip I had already paid for. I did this verbally, going through each leg, and confirming it was correct. He asked me to respond to the email, and I did, with him on the phone. A bit later he called again, insisting I confirm. Same person. I pointed out that I had done so both verbally and by reply to the email sent to me, even telling him that I stated in my reply that all was correct. He was like a broken record, insisting on an email response. I responded AGAIN, to BOTH emails I was sent. He just kept up with the insistence I was not confirming. I finally asked that the ticket be immediately cancelled, monies refunded, and if I did not see that as being the case by this morning, I would be filing charges for wire fraud, and filing a formal complaint with the FTC and other appropriate authorities wherever I discovered their company to be based. He argued, I calmly re-stated the position, and hung up. This morning I got verification of the cancellation and verified with card that the transaction has not processed, though I will keep watching. Something VERY sketchy going on here.

Arrogant and no sense of responsibility to clients

After dealing with Keplr "support" over past few days (have to do a chat in which they take a day or so to respond to each response, regarding an Apple/Keplr Issue, it has become painfully apparent from the attitude of support, that there is about zero interest on their part in taking any responsibility, or in servicing clients. Super arrogant. I have a significant amount of assets in that wallet. Their recommendations over how to TRY to fix THEIR glitch, could result in me losing everything. But that is not their concern. I was told "Im not reading this gibberish". Zero trust now. I will unstake all my tokens, convert to others and stake them elsewhere, ditch Keplr, and never return.

Discriminatory and unethical

Ordered pile of gear, verified it was me with my bank so $ has left. Now my order is “on hold” by them, claiming no bank verification, which is false. But they are not open this week because of their religious beliefs, and even sent an automated response to my email demanding a cancel and immediate refund, pushing their religious views with a link to learn about it all! Wow.

Update: They then held my money for
Maximum legally allowed time. This is according to my bank. There is no way on earth I would ever attempt doing business with this company again. Nor would I attempt the “competitor” B&H. Same ownership. They clearly feel they don’t need to serve because they have a near monopoly. I checked the BBB rating when I filed complaints with them and the FTC. 289 complaints! A 1.2 star rating in BBB. Look at their ratings and reviews literally everywhere, and decide for yourself how you wish to be treated. Their words are empty, meaningless, and not supported by their behaviour.

Cannot get an order placed.

Tried ordering online, but keep getting messages they cannot process. Have no problems with any other site, as I buy online almost daily. Customer support via chat was condescending and rude. Tried calling to order, but was on hold forever, so gave up. End of January, 2023, and they claim Covid and the holiday is causing problems. Sounds like an excuse for incompetence to me. They also charge heavily for shipping, and add the disclaimer that even though you are paying for a date range to receive, you may not get it then... again... Covid. You can have excuses, or results. Not both. They clearly choose excuses.

This company takes no responsibility for their atrocious internet service. Tech suppt could not troubleshoot their way out of a wet paper bag with a compass and a machete. As a global nomad, mostly in 3rd world countries, I am not sure I have encountered worse. I pay for their “premium”, which is a joke. I even bought a high quality booster antenna to pick up the signal from their tower 20’ away, and they claim they cannot see the booster… a brand THEY recommended, which carries strong reviews otherwise. I’m sure what they do, is purchase minimal bandwidth at the enterprise level, then resell 10-20x what they can actually deliver, hoping for a small % of their users trying to use it. If they get enough grief from a park, they throttle back or turn off one to service another. We were just down for 4 days… not seeing any pro-rated refunds or anything else. While on - suppt call forever, being told it was all my fault, a tech finally rebooted things or something and voila… a device connected. Yep… all me 🙄 Save your money and the stress and use homing pigeons. Much faster and far more reliable.

Update: immediately sent info, which was simply my contact info. They of course have NOT reached out. They have NEVER called back when calling to troubleshoot. This is standard operating procedure, as I have discovered over the past couple years when I am in a park with Tengo. I think they must have a “don’t ever call the customer” policy. Occasionally you might get someone friendly if you get through when calling them (also a rwal gamble), but generally they are mean as a cut snake, super irritated by having to speak to their customers.

Spectacular failure for the simplest of things

Have a touring policy. CC that it grabs payment from has expired. Have now spent over 2hrs and multiple phone calls trying to solve. Either the person cannot help me, or I am dumped into a dead-end automated option system, none of which address my issue. I cannot login online, as the security code it says it sends never arrives. One will arrive when I call a representative and have them send. The service is beyond atrocious.

Customer service does not listen at all. I found 95% of tutors do their intro video rapidly in the language you want to learn. ????!!!!! How does that help me choose someone I believe can TEACH me, which means knowing MY language well?

After dealing with several of their “support” people. I’m now downgrading them to a single star. They are NOT there to help, as they pay ZERO attention to what you say! None! Its truly remarkable to witness the absolute ignorance. It is their support that is sending me running from their platform. Absolutely awful. The disrespect is next level.

Nice staff, terrible internet

Nice support people, but service of company pretty lame. Constant problems with connection… paid or not. Generally isn‘t resolved quickly. Login page fails to load as almost standard procedure, so you have to have the ip address written down to force it. Then even as a paid subscriber you have to watch an ad. 3 or so screens to click through to get online. Over the past 6 months I‘m just really unimpressed. Usual corporate greed… take take take all you can, giving as little value as possible in return. But in this park I‘m stuck. Even cell service is horrid. So we‘re a captive audience.

Am likely going to pursue legal action

Am likely going to pursue legal action. Company claims I contacted them and asked for removal of some specific services. I did not, and can provide solid, documented proof of my whereabouts and phone records, etc to demonstrate I had no such contact. They will not address. Lots of other issues like texts and voice mails not arriving. When I purchased I was told there was 24/7 live person phone support. No. Very limited east coast hours, and only via chat, and you wait forever in a que. After of course being drug through their completely useless bot chat nonsense. Agents pay no attention to what you say. When I demanded escalation of issues for resolution, I was told a member of the executive team would contact me. I was later called by an auto-dialer and put on hold for a long time, then finally connected to an very disrespectful account manager who acted like I called him, and pretended to know nothing. I had to push the fact they called ME, and disrespected not only my time, but my issue by again dodging the most concerning of the several. I have been lied to outright, and now they are fabricating info, hiding from the illegality of their actions, and generally behaving quite deplorably. Quite simply an appalling company.

Update: More irrelevant communications from their totally inept support team, which really has almost no command of the English language. Finally spoke with a higher-up, but even more lies and deceit was exposed, regarding when I signed up. This company is in no way interested in its clients' issues and needs, and does not operate in a manner of integrity or within the boundaries of ethics. They now claim they have me hostage with a contract. Something I specifically said I would not be a part of, and I have not signed. One simply cannot believe anything a person at this company says. They contradict one another at every turn, often within their very own chat dialogue. Smoke, mirrors, lies and deceit.
