I recently applied and received a Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Chase Visa Card. The promotion I responded to stated I would receive 3 free night stays rated up to 50,000 points max. per stay if I purchased $ 3,000 of goods and services within 3 months of receiving the card. If I purchased $ 6,000 within 6 months I would also receive an additional bonus of another 50,000 points. The offer also stated I would earn up to 17X points for every $1 dollar spent at participating hotels. When I received my card and related information from them it did not address any of these items promised anywhere in the material. I called both Marriott and Chase regarding the issue to discover that all I was getting was the 3 nights and they were only valued up to 35,000 points per stay. They told me it did not include the 50,000 bonus points offer, but they would request an up-grade and I would here back from them within ten to fourteen days if it were granted. I feel this is deceptive trade practices using a bait and switch tactic. I would like to know how many others have had this pulled on them. The only reason I applied for this card and not another competitors card was based upon their offer. Maybe a class action lawsuit should be filed against them for such deceptive practice.
