Teacher Project very disappointing!

I joined The Teacher Project hoping to mentor future design students while strengthening my own teaching skills. Unfortunately, my experience did not match the expectations that were set.

The coaching lacked consistency and meaningful guidance. The Skool community offered very little real engagement—most interactions were surface-level “likes” rather than thoughtful feedback or support. It didn’t feel like an active, collaborative environment.

A major issue was that Facebook Ads were essentially the core strategy of the program, something that was not clearly communicated upfront. Most of the training revolved around Ads Clinics and Sales Clinics, with little discussion of alternative approaches. If you’re not interested in running paid ads, this program may not be a fit.

I was also told the team would continue working with me until I secured my first student. Instead, I was removed from the program unless I paid an additional $1,000. That felt like a shift in commitment and was extremely disappointing.

I also asked multiple times about potential opportunities to support or work with established tutors inside the community and received no response.

Overall, expectations were unclear, support felt limited, and transparency around the long-term commitment was lacking.
