I have spent well over $100,000 trying to prove I did not have some autoimmune disease. I was misdiagnosed 20 years ago. I lived on hydroxychloroquine, injections of Benysta, went from being a super athlete, to being bedridden the last four years. I never believed I had lupus or some other autoimmune disease. I started reviewing all my bloodwork four years ago because I was afraid I might have had something that I passed on to my kids, who are 40 years old with their own children. I didn’t think I was going to survive three years ago. I realized there was never any positive blood work for autoimmune diseases with the exception of a double-stranded antibody. Not even a specific one for lupus, which they hung their hat on. I believe they did that because they could throw every symptom over the years into one big bucket. I had 10 doctors in a major Massachusetts hospital and they all loved me. Until, I asked the question once I reviewed every blood test I have had. I asked the question about Lyme disease only because I grew up where there were acres upon acres of woods and trails. I’ve always had dogs and all kinds of animals. until five years ago, I would exercise and go jogging on the trails through the woods with my dogs. It sounds disgusting, but ticks were just in every day part of my life as far as I can remember. I couldn’t even count how many ticks I have been bit by in my lifetime. The doctors completely abandoned me. I ended up on a mission trying to find what was really wrong with me, especially since I noticed my two kids having similar symptoms. A living hell, trying to drive to New York, Springfield, Boston so sick just trying to get someone to listen. for three straight years could not function and lived on my couch. I couldn’t even walk up the stairs to get to my bedroom. I watched every medical conference, instructions on using a microscope, getting all my own blood work done, reading, medical lectures, and cases nonstop. I actually feel like I’m best friends with the professors on every YouTube channel as I became a student to every one I could find. I did find a Lyme specialist in New York. After two weeks of treating with doxycycline, I could move my neck and I could actually walk without excruciating pain. The damage to my organs, especially my heart, makes the progress much more complicated. It is trial and error with antibiotics. I am on the right path and somewhat regained my life back. I decided today I would try an online question because my insurance does not pay for my lyme treatment and appts. Which are $275 each. I ended up on this website and I am still in shock that the doctor I was chatting with new every thing about lime disease and treating! I wish I had done this four years ago! He even recommended a hospital in Boston where I could find a specialist. My first time using this site and I basically got the info that cost me a fortune over the last four years to find!!!!!
