I bounced back and forward with free servers for ages for Minecraft and was often left irritated by the lack of features or accessibility and looked for an Australian server host, and settled on Stipe. Not only is the server plans affordable, but their customer support is probably the best I've had online, between technical problems, billing, and updates. Even if the replies take a bit, my problem or question usually ends up solved, and they've got plenty of resources to help with it too - and will check with you to make sure everything works out. The server itself is fast, adaptable, and they have an awesome 'server profile' setup where you can make multiple different modpacks and configurations and they're saved seperately to swap at any time. You can even easily upgrade the server for more RAM if you need it for not much more. If you're in Aus and want a Minecraft server host, don't look any further, Stipe is wonderful.
