The offer to collect free from your house is very useful. Also although there was a hitch in generating one of the packing labels it was dealt with very quickly. Good guidelines on the website re packing.

Although they accept a wide variety of books - Payments take AGES before it arrives in your account - The Process needs to be streamlined - You are also asked to print an 'extra' sheet to insert into the box

It was easy, just scanned the barcode, parcelled them up and waited for my money.

Unable to arrange collection of boxes. I have been trying to get them to collect since late March. It’s now 22 April. Send them an email. Wait 48hours for a response. “We are very sorry, I’ll arrange collection again.” Evri don’t turn up again. Send an email. Wait 24-48hours for a response. Same message. this has happened multiple times now. Absolutely terrible.

This process is quick once they have received your trade package, however the whole process took 6 weeks before my trade was settled. This appears to be due to some strange arrangement they have with Evri, whereby your package to Zapper has no priority for delivery. Presumably this saves Zapper money. My emailed queries were always met with prompt and courteous responses, however they didn't speed anything up. If you use Zapper you need patience! Personally I would not use them again.

Awful experience. I sent 46 books to Zapper and should have been paid around £11. They claim to have only received one box and some are poor quality so they only sent £2.47.
I wish I’d read the long stream of one star reviews before I was tempted to deal with Zapper. Lesson learned. Do not use!

The app was easy to use but overall experience was very poor. I received an email saying some of my books had been rejected - including one which was brand new. The email stated it was in 'poor condition' and didn't offer any useful advice on how I could challenge this or get any help.

I wont be using Zapper again and would not recommend them as a trustworthy company

I had previously used this service over a year ago and had a good experience, so despite the recent bad reviews I used them again. My experience this time was appalling customer service and exactly what other people are describing. Courier collected my books promptly but it was downhill from there. After a week or so I got an email from Zapper claiming there was a delay with Evri. Approx 3 to 4 weeks had passed when I contacted both Evri and Zapper. Evri twice claimed they couldn't find a record of the parcel despite having the info they asked for. I got the general email from Zapper the following day saying my parcel had arrived and been checked (what a coincidence). They rejected 5 of my books. 2 I accept had damage but the other 3 included a book that had never been read and two others that were in better condition than others that were accepted. My payment was authorised on 26th March and has still not entered my bank account. It has been Easter but more working days have passed than Zapper said it would take. Overall the service was terrible and I am left feeling that there's something very wrong at this company. I will not be using their service again. I'd rather give items to charity. The poor service isn't worth the pittance Zapper pay.

I'd had 11 books accepted by We Buy Books (& 19 not accepted), so I thought I'd compare with Zapper. 7 of the 11 books were reported as ISBN not found, but they had been accepted by WBB.
A fairly useless service.

Before sending a large box of books to Zapper I did read the reviews, but I must admit I thought that people who left bad reviews just had a bad luck. How wrong I was!!! On the same day I sent the box to Zapper, I sent boxes to Ziffit and We Buy Books, as I was having a clearout. Just a few days latter, I got a full payment from We Buy Books and after another few days another full payment from Ziffit followed. BTW I sent the books to We Buy Books by the same Evri courier and on the same day. And for Ziffit I used InPost locker. And still nothing was coming my way from Zapper!!! I contacted them and they blamed the delay on Evri. I then contacted Evri and they responded fast and informed me that there had been a problem with the Zappit address label, apparently some important reference number was missing, but I used the exact label that they had emailed me. I kept writing to Zapper about this and their responses never showed any interest in investigating and resolving my issue. And a few weeks later when I thought that I would never get my payment, an email arrived informing me that some of my books were rejected due to a poor condition, which is absolutely not true because some of the rejected books had never actually been read, like one cook book in perfect condition. What infuriated me most was that they claimed that one of the books was missing, again not true!!! To save you lots of stress dealing with this schockingly unprofessional company, just use We Buy Books or Ziffit, and if they don’t take your books, just take them to a charity shop, rather than gifting them to horrible, horrible Zapper. Never again!!!!!!!

Courier did not & has not yet turned up to collect parcel and no contact from them. Also not getting any response from customer services.
Will change rating if things improve following this review but not holding my breath !

Terrible service I've sent my box of books ages ago. Infact they were supposed to have them collected. But no one came so I had to take a taxi and go to the local everi office. And it's been more then a month they havnt even opened my box. I also sent books through ziffat they took the books and have already paid me.should pay me for the taxi service!!

Avoid. I sent my items almost a month ago and still no settlement.

I'm clearly in a long line of 1 star reviews currently as had an awful experience with this company during February. To be told 90% of my items weren't present but miraculously the others were = nonsense! Somewhere along the line my items were either tampered with or stolen. There are much better outlets doing the same as Zapper albeit with integrity. Use those instead if you want anywhere close to a recycled item service.

I good faith we went 6 boxes of books to Zapper. Eve is collected from our house exactly on time and then went down hill after that.
Zapper have still not processed our books 3 weeks on, claiming EVRI haven’t delivered them as yet. I have contacted Zapper and just get bluffing emails from them blaming EVRI for not delivering.
What a sham this is. Don’t bother wasting your time and effort in messing about with Zapper to make a few pounds. Very frustrating to deal with and have no credibility.

Sent my books on 9th February and they are still in the Evri warehouse apparently so not happy as with other customers. Why would a Dragon invest in this company. Absolutely disgraceful treatment of people, don’t have this with other comparable companies.

They are a scam company, they keep saying they haven’t received the parcel from Evri which I don’t believe. Look at all the other reviews that say the same.
